  1. If sticking up for what is fair for the kids then yeah I'm a hater.
  2. someone has to win it but does that mean they are good or deserving? Also you mentioned teams will attract new players. I think that's a major issue but a whole different topic and one I don't really care to talk about.
  3. i dont have a choice lol
  4. and no one will be left
  5. go Chaminade. blow this system up lol
  6. and we get horrible matchups in the lower classes. I think Oxbridge would have competed with Trinity this year. They are only ok with it because they get a district and don't have to find 10 games. It was a better option then staying down and ending up like BTW
  7. 1A-4A doesn't have many teams so a really good team is going to destroy most of the competition in those classes. By the way Bolles probably wouldn't beat Raines this year.
  8. we just handed it to Raines
  9. Madison County to 7A? so you want a super class? So we should move bad teams to 1A and so forth up to 8A?
  10. why shouldn't they go back? that is where they belong
  11. you shouldn't need to test something you know isn't going to work. I think with the system we currently have with some tweaking to the point system will be ok if you add districts back to 1A-4A. That allows Trinity and Bolles to go back to 4A. That also allows teams to make the playoffs based off performance not some magical math formula.
  12. logic Josh should have told you there were major flaws. I pointed those out at the very beginning. A 1 point win vs Mount Dora Christian shouldn't be worth more than a 1 point loss to Miami Central and especially not 20 points more. I have already said I appreciate Beasley trying to make change. I think it does have some good things in it.
  13. I can agree with those. I don't think #3 will happen all the time because of how the point system is created now but more than not it will
  14. no they won't lol. Only the champion in each class will. Heck you might have a team miss the playoffs that is the best team in their class
  15. Sure BTW could have scheduled smarter. I get the point. However should we have a system where possibly the best team in the class misses the playoffs due to bad scheduling? I'm only using BTW because it is the best example. I honestly could care less if they win another title.
  16. see last post. Is that really what we want? 4A is really bad now because teams like Bolles and Trinity moved out.
  17. so the answer is to play in 5A? So all the good teams 1-4A should just go to 5A?
  18. Would you rank team B over team A if team A beat team B by double digits and had no losses? Rankings are hard especially when you have over 500 schools. Just wish he was more logical in doing them and not show he's such a homer but I also appreciate them and try to add in my thoughts.
  19. Josh it isn't really about SOS. It is about how your opponents scheduled and how they did. It doesn't matter how good a team really is. BTW at 3-3 gives you less points than a Wildwood at 5-0. Logically one would think BTW should give you more points if you play them but since BTW has a tough schedule and Wildwood has a cupcake schedule it would have been better to play Wildwood.
  20. stop comparing old to new. Both systems suck. This one is better in 5A-8A and I'm not sure by how much. At least in 5A-8A if you don't make it you can only blame yourself for not winning the district title. Overall it is not better because it is so brutal for 1A-4A and that's not really the point. The point is it needs to be adjusted quickly. Hopefully at the end of the season major changes are made.
  21. Zoe you could have an 0-10 team make it in this new system. It is highly unlikely but yes it is possible. They would have to play all teams that finish 8-2 or better and made the playoffs in the 2 year window. That would be a hell of a schedule but I could see BTW with a schedule like that. However BTW isn't losing all 10. They would also have to be in a very weak region probably in class 1A-4A where there are not many teams in the region.
  22. no one said it wasn't. so winning the region makes you a contender? I guess that's like winning the ACC Coastal or SEC East.
  23. I actually think they both have 2. If Columbia is a contender then so is Georgia and Miami. They both have about the same chance of winning. Slim to none.
  24. yeah the only good one. South Carolina beat NC State who beat FSU and Alabama ruined FSU's season. So what's your point?
  25. don't worry, columbia loves his ACC. He had 9 teams ranked in the top 25 a few weeks ago. I'm sure he still has FSU in the top 25. SEC is not a good product right now. Alabama, Georgia and Auburn are the only 3 that are good. The rest are like ACC teams.
