  1. Come on Jambun, You know I was raised “right!”
  2. STA at home has a chance against anyone in the country with no exceptions. They will find a way to beat SJB just like they did SFA.
  3. STA beats SJB again. Milton finds a way to beat Western. Chaminade tops SFA in a shootout. Miami Central dominates Bishop Gorman. Norland’s best team ever beats Castle-less Lakeland soundly. Northwestern beats Vero Beach in a classic. Cocoa avenges last years’ loss to Jones. Armwood gives Venice a tough game but Venice finally beats them by about 10. Columbus overcomes early heartache to beat CAI. Dillard beats stranahan by 35 or more. Miramar over Highland Springs. Cardinal Gibbons Florida beats their ripoff. Homestead beats Palmetto badly.
  4. Thank you for the insight. Venice only charges $50 for the season pass for all the home games with assigned seating, though I never usually sit in the stands. Haha, sitting in the "stands!" I'll see myself out now...
  5. ABC logic doesn’t work here. You have to examine each opponent on a matchup-by-matchup basis. Vero Beach matches up well with Venice and could potentially beat them in a playoff game if they were to make it out of their region, but how well would they matchup with Bartram Trail, Lakeland, Buccholz, or Manatee? That’s assuming you get past Osceola, an extremely difficult task in its own rite.
  6. Nay, I say! Jambun82, you are under arrest for the crime of opposing me politically!
  7. I knew that this is where you would go and it’s supporting my argument. Vero has had a number of teams in recent years such as 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and possibly even this 2023 team, that could have played STA tough and kept the score within 14 points. Yet you were too busy playing mostly teams that you knew you could beat to maintain some pointless regular season winning streak, and subsequently were beaten within the first 3 rounds of the playoffs every single time. Their offense was never really challenged throughout the season and they crumbled when it mattered most. Vero Beach has always had a very strong defense, and that can never be denied. But every time the playoffs come around their offense dries up because they’re not used to seeing such strong defenses as Kissimmee Osceola, Deerfield Beach, and Dr. Phillips to name a few. They needed the games where they won’t be favored to win, to show them how to face adversity and fight through it. Scheduling Miami Northwestern and Seminole was a great step in the right direction because without these tough games to strengthen your offensive endurance, Kissimmee Osceola would beat you by 21+ points again.
  8. No it wouldn’t have. If you think you have the talent to beat Miami NW, you can certainly compete with STA!
  9. STA vs Vero Beach would have been a great game!
  10. How much does VB charge for their season tickets?
  11. Watching the news makes me feel the same way too. Men are women, women are men, race means everything, right is wrong, up is down. Lunacy!
  12. Kissimmee Osceola will NOT have a down season! You heard it from me first, they will get out of their region again!
  13. Do you know when the last time Vero played a road game in Broward or Dade is?
  14. You can’t sleep on Vero. They’re always talented!
  15. Agree with you that 2M is just too much for Gibbons. There are a few teams that can challenge Central this year but I think 2M will be theirs to lose for years to come. Don’t bet on STA’s downfall. They could steamroll 3M and nobody would bat an eye. Harriet will always have those kids ready. Chaminade's only threat in 1M is TCA. They will steamroll until meeting TCA, where anything could happen…
  16. Didn’t Vero play at Chaminade once back in the 90’s?
  17. The truly elite Florida teams are mostly all in Broward and Dade. The rest of the state really can’t compete with these juggernauts on a yearly basis without “acquiring” a lot of local talent from other schools. Though I don’t think I’ve ever seen one school “acquire” twenty-eight other kids in one year before. Sheesh.
  18. Venice matches up fairly well with Lakeland and has beaten them a few times in recent years. But nothing can ever be taken for granted. Beyond a potential rematch, I think Kissimmee Osceola will be very good once again in spite of the naysayers. Their offensive line is very strong, and sometimes that’s all you need to see an offense bloom. Don’t sleep on Manatee. I love their defensive line. They had only 1 senior on their entire defensive unit last year. Very dangerous wide receiving corps in Ramsey Cole, Bonshavion Bean, and Kayvon Reddick. Bartram Trail’s offense will be high-powered but their defensive backfield will need some work if they want to get to the championship game. Vero Beach is talented but unproven. Treasure Coast’s season is over the second they run into Kissimmee Osceola. I disagree that Venice will be weak on the offensive line. We didn’t have a single senior on our entire roster who played on the offensive line. To my knowledge, Venice has never been in such a situation before. If there is one weakness on this team, it’s the defensive end position. If you run up the middle against Venice, you’ll either be running at Ke’shawn Reid, who benches 400 lbs, or Ryan Daly, who played for IMG for 2 years before transferring to Venice. But Either way, excited for the season to start and can’t wait to see how everything shakes out. Go Indians!
  19. Sounds like Vero has a very strong team returning. That’s what you will need to compete with Lakeland, Kissimmee Osceola, Manatee, Bartram Trail, etc. Vero will have a great chance to set the stage to win 4S if they are able to beat Northwestern Week 1. But they still have a very tough region having to get past Osceola. Win that, and you’ll probably have to get past either Venice or Manatee to meet Lakeland in the state championship. No easy sledding in 4S…
  20. It shouldn't be much of a test if Dillard plays up to their ability.
  21. At this point we're just beating a dead horse. The FHSAA has proven over, and over, and over, and over again, that they do not care about any of this nonsense. Too many classifications, no punishment for actively recruiting transfers, 40+ point playoff blowouts, the original 1A getting screwed by a cactus with Madison County remaining in 1R, and no leadership whatsoever. Football at the high school level is starting to decay.
  22. I apologize if it seemed that I was insulting you. I'd like to walk back my previous comment a little bit because I was not attacking you personally. The way I read your comment, it didn't seem plausible that Osceola's entire coaching staff would fall apart on a dime. It didn't seem reasonable and from the comments of @Ray Icaza, someone who is actually close to the program, we know that there is no internal struggle occurring that would cause them to crumble. They are still a threat to win 4S and should be treated as such.
