  1. Sorry for the long title, but this is a question that has been intriguing me for quite some time. Some teams have been making big moves (Dolphins getting Tyreek Hill, Browns getting Watson,) and others not so. This is one of the most interesting offseason I have ever seen, and we are only in March! So I ask you all: which NFL team has had the best offseason so far, and why? Would love to hear some opinions on this!
  2. Play us if we are so easy! We were the number one ranked team In the state last year! As in, maxpreps thought we were the best team in Florida! Hello hello! ¡Hola! Privyet! Konichiwa! Ni Hao! Hallo! Bonjour! Lol
  3. Jesse told me Cocoa already had a running-back, though? I think this is him. http://oyster.ignimgs.com/mediawiki/apis.ign.com/family-guy/thumb/2/2e/Peter_griffin_football-1109.jpg/228px-Peter_griffin_football-1109.jpg
  4. You hear that, Cocoa fans!?!? Your program SUCKS!! @KeemD321 @Cocoafanone @Cat_Scratch @LetsGo
  5. You don’t understand that STA is losing Hankerson and Zion Turner to graduation. They were probably the best quarterback/running back duo that STA has ever had. Cocoa’s entire defense is returning except for one defensive back and a safety. The game being played early in the season like this favors Cocoa’s defense. The only problem is going to be Cocoa’s offense. They’re losing just about everything on that side of the ball like STA. But Ryan Schneider is such a good coach I am sure he will develop a good quarterback and offensive line, and maybe get some transfers in to help at receiver, too. It’s going to be a defensive struggle all game long. Whoever gets the late turnover might be the one to emerge victorious. Couple in the fact that Coach Schneider used to be the OC at STA, and you have an ESPN-worthy game.
  6. Going to be a very tough game for the Tigers to win without a doubt. Aquinas is always a very well-coached football team. Every time I watch them play they blow me away with how disciplined they are, committing very few penalties and executing their “job” at every position so well. If the Tigers have any hope at sneaking out of Brian Piccolo with a victory they will need to keep the ball away from Aquinas’ offense with methodical drives that take up at least 4- 5 minutes off of the clock. STA plays a lot of cover 3 and blitzes on almost a quarter of their defensive snaps. On offense, Cocoa will have to block 6 on every play and run seam routes, short slants, “whip” routes, and some screens to bypass STA’s aggressive defense. Don’t even think about turning the ball over because they will make you pay every. single. time. Everything that you do on offense has to happen extremely quickly because they are such a fast football team. You don’t know speed until you’ve played a South Florida squad and STA is clearly the best team in the state; an awesome challenge for the Tigers’ second game out of the gate. When Cocoa is on defense, they will need to stop the run early and dare the Raiders to pass the ball. STA is going to have a fairly young offense this year; comparatively, nearly the entire defensive unit for Cocoa is returning, meaning that this side of the ball CLEARLY favors the Tigers. Cocoa will need to keep at least 5 men in the box to stop STA from running the ball down their throat early. When STA passes they like to employ what’s known as a “flood” concept meaning that there will be 2 receivers on the inside of the field running intersecting “cross” routes with the two outside receivers running either deep “ins” or post routes. There are different variations but this is most common from what I’ve seen. Cocoa will need to play some cover 2 to keep the middle of the field contained while having their two best corners pressed outside with a safety over-top to try to jam the in or go routes. Cannot commit penalties that give Aquinas good field position. They are extremely disciplined and will make you pay for any and all mistakes that you make. Cocoa absolutely cannot have sloppy special teams play. No blocked field goals and no blocked punts. STA’s special teams unit might be the best in the country. Cocoa has to protect their punts no matter what. Block 9 and remain disciplined on the edges. One blocked punt against STA means that you’ve already lost the ballgame. The tigers need to remain disciplined in every single facet of the game to pull out the upset. Much easier said than done. But I can promise one thing. This game will not be a blowout. It will be a great game from start to finish and I will not be surprised no matter who wins. Give it your all! Go Tigers!
  7. That’s awesome man, best of luck to you.
  8. Is this your profile? https://www.tcceagles.com/sports/mxc/2018-19/bios/boyd_jesse_t2z5
  9. Does Vero Beach need a preseason game, week 3, week 4, week 7, or week 11, to your knowledge? @Drogo @roygod
  10. I see you run track for Tallahassee Community on their site, but I see two different profiles that match information. One is Jesse Boyd, an African-American gentleman with his arms behind his back; and, a guy with short blonde hair named Jesse Langley. Which one is our Jesse? Lol
  11. You made it sound like you needed a handout...
  12. Jesse I’m sorry but I can’t offer you financial aid. I’d consider myself a nice guy if you knew me in person and decently compassionate, but I just can’t hand out money like candy. I have my own bills to pay. If you need financial aid there are government programs out there that you can apply for, like SNAP and TNAF. But I am in no financial position to be handing out assistance.
  13. I don’t know about high life, but we do ok. I don’t have thousands to give away, let alone MILLIONS.
  14. I am but that doesn’t mean I’m rich. I make donations and I attend just about every home game. But I am by no means “rich.” Not by any stretch.
  15. You asked me if I played for Venice. Not if I was rich?
  16. I wasn’t on the team but I played the alto saxophone in the marching band for 4 years. I’m a booster and an avid fan of all things Venice sports. I knew the coaching staff when I was a student at Venice and even had the opportunity to meet Trey Burton. They are all class acts and wonderful people. Peacock is a different person away from the field. He’s a good guy and a good motivator; just don’t piss him off and you’ll be fine. The coaching staff is as passionate about football as our fan base and are very knowledgeable people. I wish I had half of their knowledge about the game of American Football.
  17. That’s wonderful to hear, but it didn’t answer my question. My point was that if he previously lived in Tallahassee and then moved to Valdosta to play ball for Lowndes, that’s quite a big change if his parents didn’t go with him. Do you know if his parents physically moved with him?
  18. Did his parents move to Lowndes or did he just transfer? Transferring out of state is a pretty big move.
  19. I understand that man and that’s perfectly fine. I get it. You don’t have to be a high-schooler to cheer for high school sports. If that were the case this site would not exist. We just need a preseason game and I believe a game between Madison and Venice would be good for both programs. I’ll tell our coach that Madison needs a week 0 but that’s the extent of my ability. I’m sorry if anything I said seemed offensive or resemblant of ad hominem in any way. I’m just really passionate about sports in general and eager to see the Indians win. At the end of the day it’s just a game but some of us get a little more emotionally invested than others.
