I have decided to bring the Weekly Pick'ems to end. I will do playoff pick'em - but in a different format - I will give the two a prize here once I can confirm the prize which is going to be De Cleater and Muckboy561. The prizes is in the the playoff pick'em will likely be the same so if you didn't win here, you will have a chance to win with that and plus a chance to win through a blind draw as well. I will let you all know more once I can confirm everything. Thanks!

Mater Academy is an older program..they have been around a while. Just now they finally have a decent football coach with a decent team for the first time.

Guys, I let it slip this week on the Pick'ems. I have very little help right now (if any at all) and I just let it slip on the Pick'ems. Content creation is the highest priority right now and the Pick'ems are just lower than that. I am trying to do my best, but site traffic and views are the most importance right now and that is coming through the creation of content and keeping folks on the site. Weeks 9, 10 & 11, I want you all to suggest some games to me that you all would like to see. We will do playoff pick'ems as well (we will have an idea two weeks out of the games for round one so this won't be an issue knowing which games we will post). But, back to the entire issue, I just don't have the help that I need to make the extra small things run like this and I can't ask an intern to this, especially since it is not part of their contract. I don't believe in having interns do the dirty work for the most part unless its part of the learning part they are doing for their credit hours. Running a Pick'em is not part of that. So forgive me for this week due to everything that is going on. Thanks!

Everything will be updated...Also it is not hard to check the leaderboards as they are connected in and that is where I pull them down from. New pick'ems will be up later tonight. Got a busy schedule ahead and we are reworking some things for the rest of this season and we got something BIG coming soon!

Man this hard to talk about considering that almost all of us has watched Treon over the last few years.. Living here in Gainesville, I know fans aren't happy right now, but UF did the right thing by keeping Treon away until this is all handled. It sends a signal that they can handle issues better than the No Fun League and that is saying a lot.

No...sticking to 20 games....

Very possible with ScoreStream we can post scores, but we could go out and hunt down the scores from the resources we have to bring you those scores we will do it as well.

I have determined with the Yom Kippur Jewish holiday being this week and a lot of this week's games will be played Wednesday and Thursday, I don't feel it would be adequate for us to do pick'ems this week without a full Friday slate available. With that said, we will pick up next week. I am not going to ask you all to do picks in a short pinch this week and have it be almost all North Florida games....just not fair in my sense since I like to spread the love from Pensacola to Key West. I will post the winner from last week and standing sometime tomorrow. If you don't think we should do this, speak quickly! Thanks!

Football is going to remain on its own site...messages board will be expanded and move to the new site, but will still be able to connect from the football site. I am looking to provide something that would be of value to high school athletics and having some discussions with some great people who have also been in preps for a while they are looking forward to helping make this a go. Remember this is just more than about message boards.

We also update our scores as we get them in or others help update those scores in Real Time. We put a lot effort in to make sure ALL of the scores are in correctly.

Cat_Scratch...you must not be using our scoreboards then because we are putting them up in real time as they go final. Check out our scoreboards if you can.

East Lake won...you got a wrong score for that one...so that is why you are seeing something that looks wrong, but it is not on our end.

Well it could be forums and a whole entire website. Really want to make sure if I do this, it is done right.

Thanks for the feedback.... I think everyone has their own general interest. Basketball, Baseball and Wrestling seem to be the next big generators in line after football. Trying to decide carefully here on this....

Hey everyone - keep getting asked so I am going to bring this to you all to get some feedback. Seems fans are really wanting more and more of high school sports that includes more than just football here. It also seems in my research there is no one direct site in Florida that seems to hit on the major sports in one site for high school fans without having to got to a ton of other sites. As such I am considering launching a site that takes this to task. If we do this, FloridaHSFootball.com will remain a full standalone site that would connect to the new site and vice versa. Would you support such a site? What would you want to see on it if we do this. Open to thoughts because you all are the fans we are going to be serving. And if such that we expand to other sports this message board will be combined to provide one powerful and unique message board for all sports in Florida. Have at it folks!

Alright folks...time to start revisiting this section. Things are about to get going here in the next few months for reclassification. Tone that I seem to get is that the FHSAA is content with eight classes for football, further watering down any potential excitement for fans, coaches and the players....well needless to say I continue to hear from these different groups that are wanting change. I am going to take the bull by the horns here and lead for something. Hope to add in some others to help come up with a solid solution. Feel free to post on here your thoughts and ideas.

And this is why no one in the education field trust anyone in Tallahassee...don't want to turn this political, but unfortunately it is this way on this as well. The only way you can solve this issue is to go to the ballot box in November and vote.
