    • Great game last night. It's too bad there were probably only around 500 or so people there to watch. Those kids deserve better support.  Side note: We were really impressed by Central's Jayden Ford and Southridge's Travis Gamble at RB. Ford is electric when he gets the football in space. He had a spectacular 95 yard punt return for a TD wiped off on a block in the back call and outran a couple of good athletes that had a decent angle on him as he went down the sideline. At 5'6 and 160, he's really small, but hopefully FIU can add 10 lbs to him without losing any of his quickness. Gamble is a stout 5'9 185, shifty and has good wheels. That's another guy who could take a step up with another 10 lbs. Hope to see these guys again this year.
    • I think we all understand this, but "energy" drinks are really bad for you in general. Kids today drink a lot of them. My cardiologist  said if it was up to him, they would be banned. No idea if they cause cramps, though.
    • It is part of the game. Always has been, always will be. Most of the time late in the season, cramps are rare. 1 every couple of weeks. If you see more than 2 players cramping, badly,  and repeatedly 9 weeks into the season on a 70ish degree night, it makes one wonder. I am at the point in my life where cramps are a way of life. I can cause a cramp in almost any major muscle on demand LOL....   I once spent 3 nights in a hospital on IV trying to get my potassium and protein levels anywhere near normal. (brutal time) For those in the know (it isn't me)... Is there a "supplement" or energy drink or ???? that would take out a QB, 2 WR and an RB (might have been a lineman in there too) all to cramps. All in the second half if I remember correctly. I know major cramps when I see them. The QB went down 3 times. After the last time he was dancing around up and down the sideline walking in a way I know all too well trying to get them to let go. Its probably all good. But the optics were odd for sure.
    • Dillard, my thing for you, where was all this attention when we beat Bishop Verot for the district title? As soon as we lose, we headline the website? It seems like you waited for us to lose. It's all good. My defense is still playing well. It reminds me of when we played your Panthers around 2009 and got lucky. We committed about 6 turnovers and lost by like 3 or 4 ...... we still were a good team. Bad games happen, we gotta respond....     We went to the state that year, too, if I'm not mistaken
