I think it was bigger that. Chaminade fans were pretty arrogant. They thought the Lions winning was a forgone conclusion. After the game a lot of the Chaminade fans sat almost frozen like they were in shock. I thought the coaching staff didn’t have one of their best days. The officials made 2 big mistakes in the 4th quarter that hurt Chaminade. An obvious fumble recovery was ruled not a fumble. The other after an incompletion the clock continued to run. It ran off 30 seconds that the Lions could have used at the end of the 4th quarter. It didn’t appear that the Chaminade coaches recognized it. The fans sure did.

Dillardboyz, Dillard fans need to implore your AD and Head Coach to beef up the Panthers out of district schedule. It can only help your on field performance and keep people from saying Dillard didn’t play anybody. Except for Cardinal Gibbons I don’t see any other teams in the district that would improve your status. I saw Calvary Christian and North Broward play this year. Dillard should handle both of them easily.

I am really surprised by this but probably shouldn’t be. You would think there would be a few common opponents that occurred during the playoffs.

Looking at this you could think Vero Beach, Jones and Raines might be in trouble. The Cannon Index has Lakeland, Cardinal Newman and probably Raines to have the toughest tests. I’ve been watching Raines footage lately. They seem to be very focused and confident.

As we well know the Laz Index actually makes the picks. The picks lean heavily towards South Florida as they should historically. The wild card is West Broward vs West Boca Raton.

As I’ve posted a few times I saw them play Monarch in the 2nd round. I can’t answer if they have done things right or not. Don’t really know the dynamics of the program. What I can say they have plenty of talent all over the field. They seem to be playing with house money so they are having a great time. They upset a veteran Southridge team the next week then a Buchholz team that struggled offensively when their starting QB was hurt in the 1st quarter. They have one of the top sophomores in the country, Amir Sears, who plays DB/WR. He is a game changer. The QB does a good job getting the ball to the right receivers. #14 is very good at receiver but the others are too. The defense likes to attack. They pretty much stuffed a decent Monarch offense that had a good senior QB with 2 D1 receivers. I keep telling everyone they are dangerous. I don’t think they will fear West Boca. They are practically neighbors.
