Forgot some of you can’t comprehend. My initial post said I didn’t know if it was racist, but very inappropriate. I always forget that America has treated all of it’s citizens EQUALLY and that some people just overreact and make up things out of thin air 

Sorry, I forgot some of you have a crystal ball to "READ the ROOM"!  No doubt it was probably a poor choice of words but would gets to decide intent. 

The only thing going for it is that least they both have the same 10 teams. But as you look at them, some of the positioning is radically different.  Wouldn't it be shocking if the winner of 5A ends up being not one of the above teams!

My level of outrage regarding this incident is a 2/3 because I don’t know the context of what the commentator is trying to use, but this is a “Read the room,” situation here. Some historical facts about the GREAT USA…Caucasian-Americans have referred to African-Americans as “monkeys” in a derogatory manner. So, referring to your children/grand-children as “monkeys” is one thing, but not the same as it being to describe a group of people in a negative way.    So like I said, I don’t know if it was racist, but it was stupid to leave it for interpretation, considering what the term “monkey” being directed towards African-Americans has meant in this country. I’ve never heard a commentator mention “monkey or bananas” when kids of other races have been cramping 

We were seeded #2 in our region with Vero #1.  Again, how can I be any clearer that I didn't then or don't now believe folks in the FHSAA found a way to "CHEAT" OHS in the rankings.   Based on strength of schedule are 3 losses were to Lakeland (25-22) the eventual state champ, OT loss to Seminole (28-27) a game we should have won with another title contender and Jones in a game we committed 7 TO's.  Wins include demolition of Rockledge who at early season was nationally ranked and demolition of Mainland, who battled Lake Wales down to the wire for a state title that year.  Vero's resume was nowhere close and the final score at their house (31-7), which doesn't really reflect the dominance in the game confirms this opinion Simply put, these rankings are flawed as 100% of posters on this forum believe and this was an example of it.  Just my opinion.
