GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Nine weeks are in the books for the 2019 Florida high school football season and the FHSAA has given us another round of updated RPI rankings meaning we are another week closer to the playoffs.
As such this update provides the entire state a glimpse of what the potential playoff matchups could be looking like in early November, but remember things change, even with four weeks to go.
In Classes 5A-8A, district record was taken into consideration except on certain exceptions which are noted.
For Class 3A, you will find a breakdown of RPI rankings for each team in every region and a projected seeding (including tiebreakers) based upon the guidelines as published by the FHSAA (click here to view), as well as quick thoughts about each region.
NOTE:Â No teams in Classes 1A-4A can officially clinch a playoff spot until the final playoff brackets are revealed on Sunday, November 3.

QUICK THOUGHTS:Â Not much change in the region except Florida High moving up to the No. 2 seed with Trinity Catholic sliding back to the No. 3 seed. The six teams you see listed are the six teams to be in as it appears that Trinity Christian has locked down the No. 6 seed with 7-2 Wolfson way behind in RPI due to a very weak strength of schedule.

QUICK THOUGHTS:Â With Oasis having to forfeit several wins from earlier in the season, the Sharks playoff hopes are on thin ice with the final week of the season here. As such Cardinal Newman jumps from the No. 5 seed to the No. 3 seed while Calvary Christian (Clearwater) jumps into the Top 6 with the No. 5 seed at the moment.

QUICK THOUGHTS: The top two don’t change again this week and both teams are likely locks in the spots although a Chaminade-Madonna win could help them jump Calvary Christian for the No. 1 spot. Westminster Christain moves up from the No. 5 seed to the No. 3 seed while Somerset Silver Palms moves up to the No. 5 seed. Miami Edison falls back from the No. 3 seed to the No. 6 seed.
