2010: Trenton 24, P.K. Yonge 21

Skinny: For years both programs have tried to keep each other on the schedule in most years given the similar size of their programs has been. However, over the last five meetings, P.K. Yonge was on the wrong side of these matchups in losses that were not even close. In 2018, the last time these two teams, met the Blue Wave finally exacted revenge on the Tigers. But with that said, the focus aims at this year’s game and both programs come into this one evenly matched up with a few key players each that are expected to play a big role this season. For the Blue Wave keep an eye on Small (1,357 yards passing, 13 TDs, 1 INT, 505 yards rushing, 7 TDs) who showed a lot of promise and upside in his sophomore campaign last year. Kendrick who is getting some interest from colleges is expected to be a key leader on the defensive side of the ball. For the host Tigers, the two key players to keep an eye include returning all-state Athlete in Perry (1,101 yards passing, 17 TDs, 3 INTs, 1,969 yards rushing, 18 TDs in 2019) and running back Morgan (888 yards rushing, 12 TDs, 2 receiving TDs in 2019) that will carry a lot of the weight of leading the team as other players emerge as key pieces on both sides of the ball. Expect this game to be one that could down to the wire in Trenton.
