Week 11 FHSAA RPI Class 1A Football Playoff Rankings

10 weeks are in the books for the 2021 Florida high school football season and the FHSAA has released their latest look at the RPI football playoff rankings as we head into the final week of the regular season. As such this is going to be our last RPI breakdown for the 2021 season.

As such, this update provides the entire state a glimpse of what the potential playoff matchups could be looking like come the second week of November, but remember things change, as we still have three weeks worth of games (including this week) to go, however, the playoff picture has become much clearer with some teams already done for the regular season and other teams having one game remaining.

In Classes 5A-8A, district record was taken into consideration except on certain exceptions which are noted.

For Class 1A, you will find a breakdown of RPI rankings for each team in every region and a projected seeding (including tiebreakers) based upon the guidelines as published by the FHSAA (click here to view), as well as quick thoughts about each region.

REGION 1

PROJECTED REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL PAIRINGS

No. 1 Baker – BYE
No. 5 Bozeman vs. No. 4 Northview
No. 6 Freeport vs. No. 3 Holmes County
No. 2 Chipley- BYE

QUICK THOUGHTS: We have had some shifts with Freeport falling from the No. 4 spot to the No. 6 spot while Northview and Bozeman move up to the No. 4 and No. 5 spots respectively. A lot could happen between now and when the final brackets are released on Sunday.

REGION 2

PROJECTED REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL PAIRINGS

No. 1 Blountstown – BYE
No. 5 Sneads vs. No. 4 Liberty County
No. 6 Wewahitchka vs. No. 3 Madison County
No. 2 Port St. Joe – BYE

QUICK THOUGHTS: Another week has gone by and no changes have occurred to the order of the seeding for the region. At this point, we think this part of the Class 1A bracket is locked in, but then again, anything could happen with a lot of teams having one game left to play.

REGION 3

PROJECTED REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL PAIRINGS

No. 1 Chiefland – BYE
No. 5 Fort White vs. No. 4 Lafayette
No. 6 Trenton vs. No. 3 Hilliard
No. 2 Union County – BYE

QUICK THOUGHTS: With Hilliard’s loss to Blountstown last week, the Red Flashes have dropped a spot in the rankings to the No. 3 seed while Union County is now up to the No. 2 seed. Other than that nothing else has changed.

REGION 4

PROJECTED REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL PAIRINGS

No. 1 Hawthorne – BYE
No. 5 Wildwood vs. No. 4 Newberry
No. 6 Fort Meade vs. No. 3 Bradford
No. 2 Pahokee- BYE

QUICK THOUGHTS: No changes this week in the region, but keep an eye on the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds. Depending on the outcomes for Bradford and Newberry, things could flip flop. At this point we think the top six teams in this region are locked in for the playoffs.
