FLORIDA POWER RANKINGS INDEX: Game forecasts for Week 1 of the 2026 season

The first full week of the 2026 Florida high school football season has arrived, and the Enhanced Florida Power Rankings Index is back with forecasts for games across the Sunshine State.

FPRI opened the season with a 23-13 (.639) record on its Week 0 selections, with two games excluded from the final prediction record.

Week 1 dramatically expands the schedule, with games involving Classes 6A through 1A, Sunshine State Athletic Association programs, FHSAA independent leagues, standalone independent programs and several Florida teams taking on opponents from outside the state.

The forecasts below show the team FPRI projects to win and the expected margin of victory.

Games are organized by the classification of the projected winner. When teams from different classifications meet, the opponent’s classification is shown in parentheses.

For games in which an out-of-state team is projected to win, the matchup is placed in the classification of the Florida opponent.
