  1. Southridge doesn't have their own field. The reason why people think that is because next to the high school is a park called Southridge park and it just so happens a stadium is on the grounds. Harris field is home to South Dade and Homestead high. Another stadium North Miami aka Mosquito Bowl is right in front of Morning high school but that stadium is still shared with Krop, Norland, North Miami and North Miami Beach.
  2. @MC Rockets Oh ok got you and do you know why East Ridge agreed to the game.
  3. Let me clarify on what I've said. When I say every team needs a cupcake game on their schedule I was referring to the schools down here, instead of Central going up the road why not play someone down here. I know Miami and Southwest Miami are equivalent to East Ridge.
  4. Miami Jackson has a tough schedule as well. Look at Jackson 1st top three. Columbus Bolles Booker T. Washington American Heritage Central
  5. I think because Central doesn't have a 10 game schedule is what's making the East Ridge game stand out. Honestly I think every team should have one cupcake game and in Central case why go up the road when you have plenty in Miami. Barbara Goleman, Hialeah Gardens, Westland Hialeah, Morning, Coral Park just naming a few. Here's my 10 game schedule for the Rockets. Killian First Coast Southridge Booker T. Washington Norland district game Jackson Carol City district game Northwestern district game Miami Southwest Miami
  6. I'm still dumbfounded on how this game was even put on the schedule. I don't care what nobody has to say coaches, fans, students nor alumni Central shouldn't be playing East Ridge. If Central wants to be looked at as a national power then the Rockets need to handle the scheduling a little better. From the end of August to the next year of August gives you a year of planning a schedule. I guess I don't know much about Central Rockets football, but from the outside looking in I was expecting more then what I'm getting and same goes for anybody else is.
  7. I see at best a 4-6 or 3-7 type of outcome here. Wins 4-6 American, Norland, Jackson and South Dade Wins 3-7 American, Norland and South Dade
  8. When you have coach Cogdell over at Carol City working with the defense putting on 35 points I mean what's there not to expect
  9. When the season started except for me everyone on here was all hyped up on McArthur and Piper being undefeated and what occurred. McArthur didn't make the playoffs and Piper got shut out 38-0 by Deerfield Beach and then by Flanagan in the playoffs 39-0
  10. @MC Rockets Are you serious??? The only real competition on the schedule is Carol City and Booker T. Washington. Central's schedule solid 8 doesn't even compare to the likes of Carol City, Northwestern, Jackson, Columbus, Southridge, Booker T. Washington, American Heritage and St. Thomas
  11. Booker T. Washington went to Bishop Gorman house and won so it's possible
  12. The other day I was sitting here thinking about what if Booker T. Washington beats American Heritage, St. Thomas, Central and Columbus I mean that's impressive. Adding on not one game on the schedule is OOS. So yeah.... if they run the table then having them at number 8 won't seem so bad.
  13. I get what the Cobras are saying but respect is due and Central deserves everything they've gotten or will receive. The Rockets have been in Orlando since 2010 bringing back 5 state title's and Boys Anderson has brought none.
  14. Everyone except Flanagan. 8A is always a toss up one year it was Miramar, then Cypress Bay, South Dade, Columbus and now Flanagan. Who's knows Deerfield Beach might be the one in Orlando this year
  15. Norland vs Creekside American Heritage vs Colquitt County
  16. @Zoe Boy So then what's the reason for them only having 8 games this season
  17. @Sirwinzalot Then I guess Central and Mainland are in the same boat. Central only has 8 games this season because a lot of other schools don't wanna play against them.
  18. Do you guys think if Cocoa, Mainland and Armwood were in South Florida that maybe they would be more battle tested. Since 2011 it seems Mainland and Armwood can't beat Central and the same with Cocoa can't beat Booker T. Washington
  19. If the Patriots play their cards right they could contend for the number one team in the country.
  20. Bragging about beating Key West isn't all that lmao
  21. @Cat_Scratch Oh I sure did but Carol City isn't anywhere near those mentioned.
  22. I stay in Miramar and during my high school days I attended three different high schools. My 11-12 grade year I attended Everglades but I had a choice between Everglades and Miramar but it's changed since then. Everybody in that area now attends Everglades. In some cases you will have kids getting a choice between two schools and then you have those who use someone else's address, magnet school or knows somebody who works at the school/school board office. Now I do think sports related is a little different.
  23. @Cat_Scratch Booker T. Washington has been a force since it reopened as a high school in 1999 and during its inaugural season in 2002. If Armwood wasn't in the way early on the F-5 boys might have more than just 5 state title's. There are other schools around but they're not good. Miami Beach, Miami Springs and Edison. Northwestern is so so and then you're left with Central and Booker T. Washington powerhouse of Miami. I don't know why Sherrod Johnson choose the Tornadoes but I'd guess it's on proximity and enrollment. Central isn't close by and is pushing up on 2000 students. Booker T is closer to Jackson and has only 900 students.
  24. Wonder what Booker T. Washington was doing and a big lost just hit Jackson.
