  1. @Mighty_Dillard_Panthers Coral Gables is only 7 percent black which for the area it should be more like 10 percent. Any who competition with other schools hurts the Cavaliers such as Columbus, Killian, Southridge and Palmetto.
  2. Carol City I think will start out 4-0. Coral Gables Oxbridge Academy Lakeland Southridge
  3. Have Cocoa and Armwood played before cause if not then this would be a good match up
  4. I get the sense that you all are thinking that the reason Cocoa is playing Trinity Christian Academy and Bishop Gorman is to prepare for the playoffs. Now except for Viera, if Cocoa loses those games how would that look against Booker T. Washington because the Tornadoes will be strong this year with the addition of Daddy Harris back at the helm.
  5. You all say this every year about Cocoa and they still can't beat them F-5 boys. 2011-2015
  6. @Columbiahighfan2016 No Hialeah-Miami Lakes is now 4A and if they would of stayed in 6A that would of made a 5 team district.
  7. @Zoe Boy What's your take on Norland since you already gave an analysis of Central, Northwestern and Carol City
  8. What you all think about 5A. American Heritage would they be the only competition or what about Bishop Moore for Armwood
  9. Let me say this about 6A down here. Central, Carol City and Northwestern are the three front runners. Now Norland is left but since Duke Johnson left they haven't been the same. I mean Duke literally ran that offense himself. As you all know Carol City was crowned district champs and Central runner up spot last year. Now do I really think Northwestern has what it takes to get back on glory day status hmm..... I think not but again anything can happen
  10. I'm being slick here hence the name but yeah..... does Mater now stand a chance of beating St. Thomas with all the income transfers
  11. I think Pahokee can get back on the powerhouse status but remember who'd they beat during that time span that was worthy of attention.
  12. My bad on Atlantic Coast twice
  13. Trinity Christian Academy Bolles Raines Mandarin Sandalwood Yulee Atlantic Coast Ed. White Atlantic Coast Ribault
  14. How about Pahokee and Northwestern
  15. Hey do any of you know what's going on with Cocoa
  16. I'mma give an example. I was watching highlights of the Booker T. Washington and Raines state title game and reading comments on the Raines alumni site and every comment was like how do a 5-5 team make it to states, we gave them the game and we're are better with only one lost. Well here's the million dollar answer. The talent level in Miami is on another level compared to Jacksonville well Duval County, so of course the teams down here are battle tested. Northwestern, Columbus, Central and Jackson should have all been wins but they caught a team on a down year. Mind you all, last year was the 1st time Jackson has ever beaten the Tornadoes since it's existence back as a high school. Adding on teams like Columbus, South Dade, Killian, Southridge, Coral Gables, Norland, Central, Carol City and Northwestern play a good caliber team every week or other week. The point that I'm trying to make is if Dillard does get out the 1st two playoff rounds it's still tough because during the regular season besides St. Thomas game that doesn't count who else is a strong caliber team. Hallandale will be down this year and then you have Boyd Anderson which I hear will be good. I'm just being realistic on Dillard making it to states. Eventually yes.... as of right now just don't think it's time.
  17. If somehow this 2016 season Dillard makes it out of the 1st two playoff spots the road isn't done. Remember Mainland, Naples and Armwood are still there.
  18. Booker T. Washington is located in Overtown an historically black improvised neighborhood. The enrollment is and I'm taking an estimated guess here at 950 students which puts them in 4A. Now out of the 950 students half is Hispanic because of the Wynwood area and a certain part of Lil Havana feeds into the school and most would consider these inner city areas with so much going on that it's hard for a lot of the neighbouring kids to attend the school. Overtown area has the home grown talent so except for a few transfers in majority like 95% of the kids live in the neighborhood. I say all of this to say that the throne will be here for a long time so I can't say when they'll fall and due to the demographics it's gonna be hard for the school enrollment to increase leaving them in 4A.
  19. I agree with Bolles making it to Orlando instead of Raines, but I do see Booker T. Washington winning again.
  20. Leaving should have never been brought upon the table if you ask me
  21. I'mma say the Miami Jackson generals. Although the generals seem to get everyone hyped up year in and out and they come up with nothing but I still think there's some hope. In the district you have American Heritage, Hallandale, Coconut Creek, Stranahan, Cardinal Gibbons and of course Jackson. Now American Heritage is obviously the front runner but anything could happen like an upset with Jackson being district champs. For those of you who don't remember Jackson beat American Heritage twice back to back in the playoffs 2011 and 2012. But realistically speaking it's gonna be American Heritage then Jackson/Hallandale but I'm going with Jackson. With a new coach, graduating seniors and transfers I just don't know if Hallandale will be the same.
