Thanks man! Dorminey is a great man and Trinity is a great school! They do things first class with honor and dignity and faith! It is really awesome seeing the kids grow up in the program and excel! I'm glad you feel like we are gonna win it all. I know it will be a battle since AHD is burning things up down south. I look forward to this Saturday in O-town! The stadium is all renovated now so can't wait to see it. The "old" one was decrepit.

Well STARaider, looks like we're gonna get the EL/STA matchup sir. I know EL is tough but I know your boys are gonna bring it. Always do. EL will have its work cut out for it for certain.

Unfortunately, it's BTW over Cocoa for the hardware. I really was pulling for Cocoa to knock off the beast. Literally, just a bit short. Boles did what I thought they'd do. Hats off to both crews. Should make for a good gold medal game!

Well Jax TCA and AHD for the championship....again! Let's go Conquerors! Hats off to Lakeland Christian. Man they were giving our guys fits last night. I give them a lot of credit because they were ready and came to play! They showed they belong, that's for sure. TCA secondary bowed up when necessary and made some timely picks to save the bacon.

Cat Scratch I was pulling for Cocoa as I have family (by marriage) from there! I like Wilkinson a lot as well. I thought the game wasn't gonna be as close as it was to be honest. After I kept seeing the scores through out the night I got excited. Not gonna lie. BTW was supposed to be this powerhouse that was gonna roll all of 4A. Just too bad it ended for the Tigers at the hands of those guys again. Y'all will be back!

Bolles will take the game against a down Mad Co. It's funny to say that because of where they've made it in the playoffs but Mad Co is not as good as they have been before. I mentioned this before but I watched them play Trinity Christian this season and they were not the team I've seen before. Bolles is as advertised. IMO, Cocoa does NOT have the firepower to knock off BTW. Again, funny to say this considering where Cocoa has made it into the playoffs but they aren't the Cocoa of old either. I stand behind my statement of Bolles/BTW in the medal round.

Looking forward to a clash with East Lake from my old neck of the woods.

STARaider how good is this year's STA team? I am from Tampa but have been living in Jacksonville. East Lake is a solid, solid ball club with a lot of the vital pieces you need to make deep runs in the playoffs. They are big up front and they have some really good skill players and a good D. Just a sound football program. I look for the EL/STA matchup to happen so it will be good. Up north we got Tampa Bay Tech and I have a good buddy who coaches there. They are a good team but Kissimmee Osceola is usually pretty good. That will be interesting as well.

....and THAT'S why they play the games! Lol. Either way I knew Raines/Bolles was gonna be a dogfight and it sure was! I'm going out on a limb here ( ) and saying that minus self-destruction Bolles is getting a medal this season. Which color will it be? Cocoa and Clewiston was a battle as well. Not sure if Cocoa is gonna have the firepower at their disposal that will be necessary next week when they face that stout BTW team. Bolles vs BTW for the marbles guys!

Trinity Christian faced a TOUGH Ocala Trinity Catholic and emerged victorious. Hat's off to the Conquerors of TCA on a step closer to the hardware. Now on to the next round where they will face a game Lakeland Christian. CCC got a gritty win against Cardinal Mooney but may have lost their star QB for the rest of the playoffs. I've learned it was a bad sprain and bone bruise but whether he can play or not remains to be seen. It looked as if there was gonna be a battle next week with American Heritage Delray either way, and AHD solidly did their part to ensure that, but without QB Jeff Smith the CCC Marauders are gonna be a few bullets short of a loaded gun. Not how you want to enter your biggest gunfight to date.

You may not know this HSdad but this is a reclassification year so things are about to get shaken up again. Don't know who's going where and for what motivation as that's always a debated topic. If you're an STA guy then maybe you're bored but 7A is no cake walk. At least the deeper into the playoffs you go.

Whoever it is it had better be a homerun! I know there's a lot of interesting scenarios out there. Since I'm not into the speculatin' bidness I'm gonna go ahead and wait to see what happens. Gator Nation is growling though!

I hear ya SoFlo. One big one up North and one big one down South IMO. Florida State Seminoles should lose to Mad Co tonight but it will be interesting to see which Cowboy team shows up North. For my "other" game on the South side of the bracket BTW should walk Glades Central but those muck boys aren't going down without a fight!

CCC plays Sarasota Cardinal Mooney and AHD plays Miami Westminster Christian. CCC will win and AHD should take care of Westminster. That will then determine the South champs. The reason I said who's it gonna be out CCC or AHD was because it's been a bit of a tossup. CCC was runner ups to Trinity Christian last year and return some fine players. However, their M.O. is offensively outscoring you with not a lot of D. AHD has been considered the team on fire and able to potentially beat anyone. Their M.O. has been a good offense and a good D without either side of the ball being lights out. Up North tonight is for the marbles. Jax Trinity Christian (TCA) is just plain stout! They've scheduled anyone who will play them in order to get battle-tested for the stretch run. GA powerhouse Buford and football lab IMG being their only losses. Their M.O. is one of the baddest defenses around with several bonafide D1 studs. The offense is better and a bit more diverse than in the past with a little thing called the forward pass being discovered there. Lol. Ocala Trinity Catholic (OTC) has a better team this year than they did last year when TCA beat up on them and eliminated them en route to the hardware. OTC's got a good RB and a good group on both sides of the line of scrimmage. They have a good but inexperienced QB and some good WRs. Their M.O. is offense. Personally, I'm with Trinity Christian winning the gold medals again this year but beginning tonight they will have a test and then another one for the top of the podium in either CCC or AHD. LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!

Isn't that what makes the "second season" so much fun? The kinds of explosive matchups we get and the sometimes shocking outcomes. Always love that quote "that's why they play the games!"

Going into tonight's games looking at the powerhouses from the North playing in Ocala with Jacksonville Trinity Christian versus Ocala Trinity Catholic. Word is the winner here is the State Champ representative from the North. Question seems to me is who is going to be the representative from the South? Is it going to be Clearwater Central Catholic or will it be American Heritage-Delray? From the North I've got Jax TCA From the South I've got AH-D

There's no denying Corky and his staff know what they're doing. BUT....they aren't playing. Their kids will be prepared and will have a good game plan. But don't think Raines is just going out and try to "out-athlete" them. Wiley is a good coach too and IMO Raines has played some tougher opponents. That's what I mean by battle-tested. Guess we'll find out soon enough. (Btw, have no affiliation with either) Interested in that Cocoa game too.

What kind of records did the kid from Bishop Kenny last year (who's now Wake Forest's QB) have? This kid and Lake Nona almost pulled off a big one.

Nole this is great stuff. I've seen it and thought there should be a listing of the total number of high schools in each county as well as what was done with population. Very interesting.

Gotta stick with Raines on this one SoFlo. I know it's hard to do the double but in my opinion they are a little more battle tested. You can't argue with what Bolles is but they can't run from Raines like they have from some other schools in this area.

I've got the North champ coming out of the Raines/Bolles game. I'm gonna go with Raines to win again. Mad Co played Trinity Christian this year and I was unimpressed. Usually they are much better. Out of the South, it's hard to argue with BTW but Cocoa is serious. Plus a bunch of great guys. Cocoa can play so to me, that will be a h*ll-raising game. My $o.o2

If they even have a program. All I've ever heard about that place was shady. That's why I used quotations on the word school. Disgraceful. I was absolutely shocked when I heard they walked off and quit against IMG.
