  1. 7A was a very watered down division, probably the weakest by far of all the classes. Look at STA's possible opponents.

Viera: a 4 loss team that has done what ever?

Columbia:Lost to a non playoff Escambia and always flames out

Lakeland: Lost to Bartow!!! Ft Meade beat Bartow by 4 Tds

    I mean look @ Columbia's playoff run

Chiles: A 6-5 football team, I saw them on tape. Not very good at all

Lincoln: A 5-7 football I saw in person. A cakewalk for an elite team

Bartram Trail: 9-4 they basically lost to every playoff team until they got to the 7A playoffs. What's that tell you?

Viera: 10-5 football team who like Batram trail lost to every good football team until they reached the 7A playoffs.

Not exactly a gauntlet there for the 7A north.

  2. I agree with some of what you say Broward, when you have that domination you should expect it in the playoffs. However they should play the best teams in the state(Ft Meade, Pahokee, Madison) in 4 consecutive weeks, so I could see them losing to someone. Looking at the teams they played with winning records, look who else put running clocks on those teams.

St Joe 9-1: Lost to Trenton 48-13, 41-7 @ half

    Newberry 6-4: Trenton won 54-6, 40-0 @ half

    Dixie Co 7-2: Trenton won 54-10, 20-2 @ half

    Chiefland 5-5, Trenton won 58-12, 58-0 @ half. Newberry won 39-0, Dixie 40-6

    Episcopal 5-5, Trenton won 49-7, 42-0 @ half. Trinity Christian won 52-7

    Williston 5-5, Trenton won 42-14, 35-7 @ half. Dixie won 45-6

They played 6 teams 500 or better, 3 of those teams no one else running clocked them. The others teams I listed who got those guys. Bottom line its going to get interesting.

  3. Well Columbia is the largest school in North Central Fla besides Buchholz so you probably should be the best program. I wouldn't set my goals at being better than a bunch of schools with 600 kids in it when you guys have 2000+. Columbia looks decent this year but I expect they will falter around the 2nd round like usual. Good luck though.

  4. Columbia fan, first off let me preface this by saying I'm not in any way defending Ft white. Don't care for them at all, but for you to compare Columbia to a school you are 3+ the size of? What's that say about yourself? But since you like comparing yourself to 1A teams lets look how you did the last time you played one in a real game ( not a classic or spring) . In 2010 you guys played Madison Co, I realize they weren't 1A at the time but the closest thing to it. The score was 19-0 Madison, and the year before Madison beat mighty Columbia 56-14!! So maybe Columbia needs to stick to being a decent 6A-7A team that hardly ever plays for a region title (once in the last 12 years). Stick to beating up the awful teams in Jacksonville and then when the real competition comes bowing out in the playoffs.
