  1. The "kid" at 4:24 who dropped the pick-6 probably never lived it down...
  2. I trolled the FV board (where I used to be an admin with extensive power) the other day.... Created a thread and told Silver King (and others) they needed to "let it go" and join this board. Did not oblige. Truly a sad case.
  3. Yeah they've got some dudes. Check out Jammie Robinson's film. https://www.hudl.com/profile/5463639/Jammie-Robinson
  4. Dr. Phillips, Brenden Cyr, Junior, 6’5, 205. Started the first half of last season for West Orange as a sophomore. https://www.hudl.com/profile/7814325/Cyr-Brenden Canaan Mobley, a sophomore, is also in the mix. He is more of a dual threat and scored in the spring game.
  5. It’s a solid list. I’d have Wekiva ahead of Apopka, and mayyybe Dr. Phillips, although they seem very close on paper. Central Florida portion is accurate, I endorse.
  6. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a list... “And then ColumbiaFan went high energy, compiling the sacred List the peasants had hoped for— and The Board was filled with Joy” -FHSFB Bible, Peasants, Chapter 1
  7. I’ll add a preview to this thread in time for the game on August 25th (Saturday) at 11am. This should be a very close game, as Lee County won Georgia’s 6A Classification last year and has serious talent. They have an elite young WR and a do-everything ATH who will make their offense potent. Dr. Phillips is young but returns 6 starters (and one transfer-in) on defense and two (not including a D1 upcoming junior RB) on offense... The team is loaded with sophomores and juniors but has a small, core group of about 10 seniors who will be major contributors. One big piece of news is the transfer of 4-star ATH Jammie Robinson to Lee County. He is the real deal. I’ve included his hudl film below. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/5463639/59cc6c164797642b28e65517 Does anybody know if this game will be televised?
  8. Not sure why but I’ve always been a fan of STA. Just feel like they carry the state torch well in out of state games with their discipline and talent. That said, this was one of the major WOW moments over the years for me... was nice to see them go down to a non-big-name school...The Cooper City upset http://miamiherald.typepad.com/flapanthers/2011/11/cooper-city-gets-biggest-win-in-40-years-upsets-aquinas-21-16.html
  9. DP tried to schedule Northwestern in 2016... pretty sure we didn’t back out.
  10. Also, for the record... DP has won a playoff game every year since 2006.... 26-11 in the playoffs over a 12 year period! - Title game - 2010, 2016, 2017 Final four - 2012 Quarterfinals - 2014, 2015 - The national “experts”, none of which put DP in the preseason top 100, have a nice surprise coming for them this year.
  11. Miami Central St. Thomas Aquinas ? — Miami Columbus Dr. Phillips ? — Mainland ? — Trying not to look at the fhsaa website... I’m pretty sure about STA & Central. DP is definitely one of the six.
  12. Wow I had no idea those teams were all in the Atlanta metro area. That’s some SERIOUS talent. You’re making me question my analysis that Miami-Dade is a clear outlier... seems you were right.
  13. Yeah, with Seminole, Mainland and Osceola I made sure to include “25” as in if you rank them, they may be the last team to make the cut. They’re definitely all fringe teams so I agree with your assessment; too early. The other end of the range is more a gauge of potential... of the three Seminole may have the most upside.
  14. I just can’t keep up with the rest of the state like I used to. Central Florida teams that could be in the top 25 include (with approximate ranking range) Wekiva (5-8) Dr. Phillips (7-14) Apopka (13-19) Seminole (19-25) Mainland (21-25) Osceola (21-25)
  15. “Who wants to do a top 25” will save a lot of clicks
  16. Dude... the thread names... again... 43 views. 43 disappointments.
  17. You should attend the Colorado games and troll the coaches from the stands... maybe even make a Disney trip out of it.
  18. All of the above... in order I'd go 1) Coaching & Execution 2) Town/School Support (Expectations) 3) Athletes 4) Solid Youth Program - Apopka is by no means starving for talent, but it is not what puts them over the edge... Coaching & execution are by far #1 to me. From a talent perspective they'd probably be in the top 15 in Central Florida every year, but their coaching puts them in the top 3-4 consistently.
  19. It is generally in order. Apopka never has tons of D1 talent. They usually beat the teams who do.
  20. 8A IS DEEP! The talent distribution from 8A north/south looks pretty even. Here are my top contenders: Wekiva Deerfield Beach Dr. Phillips Apopka Miami Columbus Palm Beach Central Delray Atlantic Vero Beach Osceola Miami Southridge South Dade Sarasota Riverview Seminole
  21. Looks like Deerfield Beach and Palm Beach Central are both contenders out of 8A south. I’d also add Columbus, Southridge and Delray Atlantic to the early list.
  22. Teams in the 8-13 range can all be switched; tons of parity. Time will tell. They do lose some major contributors that made up a large portion of their top talent. The defense loses 7 and the offense 4, many of whom will still be playing ball come August. It really depends on what Jones has coming in for the 2020 and 2021 classes.
  23. Wilkinson is the reason why I have NSB listed.
  24. One thing I noticed... Orange County is far and away #1 in CFla even if you combine the other counties. That’s not including Brevard..
