OK, I give up.  I was trying to post a screenshot I took last night of a Twitter post from on the Tampa Bay Times sports reporters and I just can't seem to figure out how to do it (file size always too big).  In any event, the original tweet came from a 10K.sam and it reads:  "Dear Lakeland high school can y'all stop calling my people I am not going to Lakeland i am loyal to my school lake Gibson @LHSDreadnaughts"

    Interesting.

STA is losing WR's Elijah Moore and Tavares Kelly, but picking up Royal and Ferguson.  STA is losing 2 senior OL's(they had 6 total that were 3-star or better), but picking up Hernandez.  So, STA, should not miss a beat on offense.

STA is losing Ragin and Shelton at LB, but they are gaining Avery Huff and Devon Betty and have a load of returning talent at that position.  STA is losing 3, 4-star players (Samuel, Blades Jr and Troutman) in the defensive backfield, plus 3-star Melvin).  Might be a question how well their replacements stack up...hard shoes to fill...but they have a couple of 4-star players(Jordan Battle and Jaden Davis) returning.  Based upon rated talent, the biggest question appears to be the defensive line.  They are losing Dez Dumervil and Nik Bonitto.  They are getting Ingraham from Dillard and 3-star Jason Munoz is returning.

Melvin is a senior.  The secondary is in good shape.

Munoz didn’t play last year (injury) and he and Ingraham starting on the DL will provide good size and depth w some talented kids w size behind.  Id have Munoz play DT this season and hopefully he’ll play there at times..  Jean and Bonitto will be missed, but overall size at DL will be improved and won’t be a liability as much as last year imo.

I know that there are better players out there then the ones who are on St Thomas Aquinas

You don’t know much about STA or anything else related to SoFL

In fact i don't think sta has any position that has the best player in their own county on the roster

How about Battle at safety?  How about Davis at CB?  How about Murphy at Center?  How about Solomon or Brown at OLB?   How about Ingraham at DE?  How about Carter at RB?

Juniors:  Dumervil OT, Rosemy WR,  Wingo LB.  ?

But that don't stop people from always saying that they gonna win 10 straight 7a titles or something ridiculous like that

Change your song... you’re an admin with an obvious negative bias.  This isn’t 2017 anymore.

  4. Some additional names...

    '19 class transfer this offseason

Julian Hernandez - Western OL  (3 star)

    '20 class transfers this offseason

Jahvante Royal - McArthur WR  (4 star)

Jovan Ferguson - BTW WR  (3 star)

Xavier Restrepo - Monarch WR/DB (3 star) - Not sure which side or both he plays this coming season.  Looks the part wherever he is.

Devon Betty - Miramar OLB  (4 star)

    Transfer out:

Lampton Griffin - OLB 2020 not rated (FBS power 5 offers, transfer to Palm Beach Central).   Smart move and will get more PT this season.

  5. Perhaps already mentioned but not reading back pages... STA also got Antonio Serrano 2019 OL from Belen Jesuit (fbs recruit likely, 0 offers but that will change in a month) and OLB/DE D'Andre Ragin from Monsignor Pace (fbs offers 2018 class). Also a WR from Mater Academy 2019 Jamal Cooney (0 offers I believe).

Serrano picked up his first fbs offer from Syracuse. Jahmar Brown 2019 class LB w fbs offers transfer to STA from Monsignor Pace.

  7. I heard something about in the pregame warmups the Dwyer players were running/cutting through and around the STA players warming up in a harassing manner. Bad move Dwyer.

I also heard Dwyer had 30 or 40 yards of TOTAL Offense in the game. Dwyer was destroyed in the game on the field. That's for sure.

Missed pregame and the fight (was en route to parking lot already). The overrated chant by some Dwyer fans was entertaining early... they will remember that running clock blowout for awhile.

  8. your missing the point bro if your up 45-0 with 5 seconds left why would u still be throing it was already a running clock at half time they could have kneeled...am i wrong this is not about running up the score or etc its about class they could have easily let the time run out or kneel. and anybody on here can agree with that....and another thing what ever happend on the last forum leave it there were not on that over here.

It was a KOC not a regular season game, big difference.   Backups on both sides want to show their skills, not watch a kneel down.   How many throws this year will that reserve STA QB have this season?   Those kids are making big sacrifices to practice and play scout team upon their academic requirements, I think it's fair to give them a chance to play and perform in what is essentially a modified scrimmage game.

I guess we will agree to disagree on this matter.   Your false representation of that final play reminded me of the past, which was not right.  My bad on that.

But let's not rip on a HC from the past either... let's remember STA scored 1 2nd half TD prior to that final play with a bleep load of missed tackles (nice moves, whichever one prefers).

  9. STA gets no respect From me u already up 45-0 & its 5 sec left defense already waiting to get in formation to congradulate & u throw the ball while no one looking & score.! Smh no respect for them.!

Or we can watch at 3:00 and see what really happened...  you were comic relief on the other forum and things haven't changed it seems.

We get you're a Dillard homer, but wake up.   Dillard was well in place for the final play, with a defender near the QB with arms up.

It was a harmless short pass likely to a player who didn't get a touch all night (and if he did it was still a harmless short pass).

Did you want him to fall down?   Look at your team's tackling skills on that play, not STA's HC.

  10. "If" IMG loses early and/or is banged up and Chaminade is playing well leading into the playoffs... that could be an interesting game.

Poly I doubt gives them a game.

TCA I doubt either. Imo it's Grayson, Centennial and maybe Chaminade as a long shot and maybe last chance to stop a MNC if IMG is undefeated. Oxbridge I just don't see it.
