  1. I looked at their schedule last 6 years, they play solid teams, but rarely come to Baltimore or DC for games. Somebody hook them up with Madison, Florida version of a 1A power. Actually Madison flat out a power. Welcome to FLA. board. Side note; Viera took down Gonzaga 21 - 6 in DC Labor Day weekend. Just 2 weeks ago Gonzaga beat #19 in nation Dematha. Just interesting side bars. Gonzaga DC people treated us right, had an awesome pregame with their fans at a DC bar n grill. Hope MCC and FH did the same in Cumberland.
  2. No sweat, pretty good ranking for Osceola, Orange, Seminole, and Volusia. Head to head, I think Jones would beat the Kowboys and Spruce Creek might deserve a couple spots higher, they are damn good.
  3. this is where this new format could cripple MCC. Because if Jauqien, Valentine, and tall basketball receiver stay healthy; they have all the incredients to make the same run as last year.
  4. Funny you should bring up Pine Forest. They were Merritt Island's victims in the 78 and 79 championship games, in what was the largest classification then 4A.
  5. Some of the local kids said he had a significant injury during the Bishop Moore game.
  6. Son has a recruiting trip to JU now(if he wants to go. If fishing or surfing is good next week he won't go}, so may just stay east and go to Flemming Isl/Creekside or the Lee/Jackson game. Since Lee or Flemming could be a Viera opp. if Viera wins a few in the playoffs and if those teams could get by the Tigers of Columbia.
  7. thanks, for the update, I am glad he is OK. Had mis info from some kids last week. He is a fantastic young man and player.
  8. Hold on!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is that the 8 Orlando area plus 2 Volusia top 10. I am a Merritt Island Alum, but now a Viera hommer, so Cocoa, Viera, Vero Beach, etc. must be east central florida!
  9. Unfortunaltely, If I am not mistaken Jauqien ( I hope I spelled it right, is out for season) he is the best QB in this 100 mile area. MCC will now have it's hands full in the playoffs.
  10. Cocoa 40 Rockledge 13. Younger and Wilk will play the roll players in second 1/2 and get ready for Nov. 10 home playoff games.
  11. glad to here that, your stadium and train horn are to cool for that place not to have 4,000 to 6,000 5 Friday nights a year. Plus the Tigers play damn good football.
  12. Columbia, you find me a place to pregame at Bartram Trail next week? I liked your uniforms tonight. Tight 1st half, then it seemed Tigers rolled
  13. Cruise might be a good word, but MC had 1st n goal at the 3 yrd. line late 1st., fortunately 2 sacks and a penalty forced a missed 35 yrd. FG. Then Viera put up 39 points in the next about 14 minutes clock time. MC is young and Viera sloppy early. George Johnson #7 for MC is pretty raw. Many of the boys said he balls out there.
  14. Just rolled in from Martin County, as Viera played like dogs and came home with a District win and clinched their District. I just poured a bourbon n coke and must backtrack on some words I was mentioning about bad Districts. I believe this year Viera may be in the worst District I have ever seen. However, they got their games in against Vero Bch., Cocoa, Gonzaga, and Rockledge. Wish we could have gotten Osceola game in. They will be fine in playoffs. Just have to play well.
  15. I believe I mentioned it last night in some thread to Tiger86, that the Raiders are pretty damn good. They will win out in the district (included beating my almamater), loose to Cocoa in their rival game; they will then host a 1st round game, They could be dangerous for a few rounds.
  16. Does Columbia ever go all yellow with a little purple? I like that Northwestern look. I thought Viera was playing the LSU Tigers 2 years ago up there. Columbia had about 70 guys dressed.
  17. Wait, don't you want to watch Harmony vs, Lake Nona on ch. 47 Spectrum sports?????????????????? Damn just looked, if playoffs started now Harmony would come to Viera rd. 1. Going to have to do some channel changing; Game 5 NLDS, pro football, south florida football on ESPN 2, and possible Viera opp. on channel 47. Got to go get me a tallboy NattyLIght.
  18. You are 100% correct BTW schedule week to week much tougher than Cocoa's, They have traveled all over the US playing games and I believe they would play anyone if logistics and finances were possible. Unfortunately they do not have the quality of teams within 20 miles to play as South Florida has. This years Cocoa schedule was softer than normal. Especially with NFL guys associated with Everglades Prep and International of School of Broward wanting games. This new point system may give BTW a second season (playoffs)
  19. Tiger86, you guys are going to put good a whooping on Rockledge Nov. 3. But you will see a much different Raider team than the last 4 years that you have out scored them 205 - 28.
  20. Corbin was the only one possibly coming over to Viera. He played a few years in our youth league, but my son told me it never really got serious. His grandfather wanted him to stay in Rockledge.
  21. I did misread a web site, thanks for correction. Any good seafood or BBQ spots to pre-game at near the St. Johns river? I revise my prediction. Cocoa 34 Bartram Trail 16
  22. I am far from a Cocoa Tiger fan. However, everyone that is interested in 4A; start ordering rings and polishing that trophy that will be handed to the Cocoa Tigers at Camping world stadium in December. Even the University of Ft. Lauderdale will have no say. Possible 1st round game against Cocoa Beach and 2nd round vs, Avon Park. No disrespect to those teams and their young men; but Cocoa will drop a combine point total of 140 pts. on those teams.
  23. Bye the way Willie, I love that 1979 picture of of an all time Pirate great. Sing me a few lines of "We are Family, I got all my sisters and me"
  24. Viera has played both Rockledge and Palm Bay. Had 5 turnovers and missed 3 FG's to squeak by the Raiders 13 - 6. Dropped 59 on Palm Bay and had 2 turnovers in red zone. Rockledge is fixing to beat Palm Bay, M.I., Titusville, and Space Coast to win that district. Then Palm Bay will have to hope and squeeze in Playoffs with points. Raiders will finish with their rival Cocoa to get ready for playoffs. Only a prediction; come end of season Rockledge's only losses will come from State powers (Viera, Osceola, Clearwater CC, and Cocoa). they have a better defense than Palm Bay (Tennison is best defensive player in this area) and with Mitchel and Corbin in backfield their offense is better. Rockledge 26 Palm Bay 17
  25. I like the schedule BT played early in the season. Now they have what looks like a tough road district game at Flemming Island. We will see what kind of attitude they have after this weeks game (win or lose) which is much bigger game. From what little film I have watched of BT and the ESPN game they were on; I do not give them much of a chance with the road trip to Cocoa. Viera has a bye week that week, sounds like a good happy hour for me and will go check out Cooca vs. Bartram Trail. Cocoa 40 Bartram Trail 13
