I guarantee those kids that transferred to private schools knowing they weren't going to be starters had someone in their ear telling them they would be eventually or come from families willing to pay that tuition. Private schools are expensive and they don't let them all in for free. They give them some financial aid, but that has to be paid back. I have heard horror stories about kids getting screwed when it was time to get records released for colleges because of that financial aid. It isn't just as easy as transferring to a private school unless that school really wants you.

Just because they are transferring doesn't mean a private school wants them or they will start somewhere else. It used to be just the above average to elite kids, but now its everybody leaving because they have somebody telling them the grass us greener. I had a QB transfer to another school thinking he would be a starter at other school and spent 2 years on the bench. Another we had at DT being told by an uncle he was a D1 Lb and transferred to uncles alma mater. Well he is a DT with no offers.

Most teams pull their starters by the 4th of KOC. Many do it at halftime. Several will play JV kids the 4th. Really depends on size of program, but most with 40+ kids do that.

The Dolphins 7s is not a qualifier for anything. It's just something the Dolphins do for community outreach type deal and give back to high schools. It is free for all teams. The players the Friday before get life skill lesson at a symposium at Hard Rock Stadium. They also each get 2 different Dolphins jerseys/dry fits for free. They get good work against teams in all 3 counties down here and it keeps the teams together instead of floating to all star 7s teams and getting recruited and such. Not everybody has money to pay for travel and pay 200-500 a team to play in tournament just for someone else to line their pockets. The Dolphins 7s is a good event. Has 35-50 teams their every year.

Happened today, so don't know all the specifics about eligibility. Don't want to name sources, but reliable people in the county. Supposedly, Dillard has gotten as many as 15 transfers, so it will also be interesting to see if they look into them or they go back to old schools.

Word is Dillard had to fire head coach because they had Rb from Chaminade practicing during spring this week while he is still enrolled at Chaminade and taking classes at Dillard yet.

Playing high school sports or any extracurricular activity at a school for that matter is a privilege not a right. Just like how kids can't go to dances or field trips. If guilty, he did not live up to that privilege. You need to set a standard because it is very easy for kids to get a big head and feel they can get away with anything because they are more talented then others their age. Also, he is 18, which makes him old enough to understand what he is doing is wrong. That in of itself shows he already has the entitlement of feeling he can get away with it anything or won't be punished. Kids make kid mistakes and they deserve second chances. This 18 year old adult robbed an 11 year old child. Maybe down the line he learns and gets another chance, but he deserves this punishment right now.

Davis left Monarch because he got caught trying to pay a student to take SATs for an athlete and asking a security guard to make fake IDs. He was fined and had to take classes. Ethics don't seem to matter in hiring anymore. Florida football might be more like college football big business, but I don't want my kid around a guy teaching them that is ok. It doesn't matter how good of a coach they are.

While it does seem ridiculous to punish a school if a student texts one of his buddies or something along those lines because he wants him to come and play with him there definitely needs to be a clear hard line to stop the more blatant stuff out there and sometimes more innocent situations will just get caught in that net. I mean I saw a QB from a school put on twitter before last season that if any OL or DL were interested in transferring to DM him. It is hard to prove, but you don't think that message came from coaches?.
