Am I correct that in 7A the higher average (Viera) is ranked higher than Lakeland and Plant. So being new to this, doesn't that mean Viera is ranked higher in state rankings? Hint:Columbia

Lets revisit this after MI-Rock game. If Rockledge is as improved as I think, they will beat MI convincingly. Not saying Rockledge can beat Cocoa, just think it won't be the usual blowout. Too much new talent not to make a difference in score.
Younger and his staff talked a lot of trash last year, and was embarrassed again by Viera & Cocoa. If they talk anymore this year they are idiots for not learning the lesson. Beating a Palm Bay or MI is not it.

Knowing the talent influx Rockledge got this year in Corbin and Tennison( and 8 others) they should stay in the game with Cocoa. Viera in 13-6 win didn't have offense passing game rolling yet, but play-calling was equally terrible for Rockledge. Coach Younger will hopefully have it figured out by then who needs to have the ball in their hands making plays(Corbin,Mitchell). If you get some two way play with top guys (Tennison did both against Viera) they should be able to hold down offense of Cocoa. Jashaun seems to bust at least 2 a game(kick returns, punt return, or long run) so if he stays with that average it could make for a close game. Also most believe Tennison(sophomore) is the best Defensive player in county this year, next year for sure.

Rockledge, if motivated, should beat MI by 2 tds. I know for Cocoa-Rockledge game motivation won't be a problem. Play-calling and playing disciplined defense will be keys for Rockledge in a closer game than Cocoa fans want to believe. With growing confidence in remainder games, Rockledge plays them close. Cocoa 31 - Rockledge 28

Cocoa has the coaching advantage. Not sure they have a talent advantage. Seems great coaching is undervalued on many of these message boards. This is the last game of the regular season, Rockledge will gain confidence and should win the rest of their games before the match-up. Cocoa should be favored, they deserve to be, but Rockledge will give them a game worthy of the rivalry. And there haven't been many of those lately!

Both teams legit. Tackling is not like we do it in the south, especially from secondary, but much easier to watch then flag every down cluster last night in Miami.Think IMG would have hands full.
-
Team will go where QB Demorat takes them. If he gets as hot as Kingston did, state is possible, and with St Thomas having a down year offensively we could actually win it all.

Some serious talent on the field in this game.Being played on Foxsortsnet right now. St Brown best WR in country.

Lots of penalties and mistakes for both teams. Lots to clean up but could see CG beating them. Evenly matched.

Whatever. Rockledge will win out and win district unless coaching gets in the way. Can compete with Cocoa, give them a game.

Palm Bay finally on scoreboard with 70 yd run from Lyons. But too little, too late.

Tennison gets in on it, Raiders running away 27-0.

Look Up ^^^^^^^

Palm Bay in trouble. Rockledge using all weapons as Corbin, Mitchell and Green have all scored.

Viera has played both Rockledge and Palm Bay. Had 5 turnovers and missed 3 FG's to squeak by the Raiders 13 - 6. Dropped 59 on Palm Bay and had 2 turnovers in red zone. Rockledge is fixing to beat Palm Bay, M.I., Titusville, and Space Coast to win that district. Then Palm Bay will have to hope and squeeze in Playoffs with points. Raiders will finish with their rival Cocoa to get ready for playoffs. Only a prediction; come end of season Rockledge's only losses will come from State powers (Viera, Osceola, Clearwater CC, and Cocoa). they have a better defense than Palm Bay (Tennison is best defensive player in this area) and with Mitchel and Corbin in backfield their offense is better.
Rockledge 26 Palm Bay 17
I think you are correct that Rockledge is the more talented team but Palm Bay looked to be better coached. I agree they are about to go on a run. This game might go down to what Rockledge team shows up. Their were some coaching issues during Viera game not sure they have been worked out. When you have Mitchell,Corbin, and Tennison all in your backfield and the QB runs the ball, that is a problem. Rockledge 27 Palm Bay 21

I had felt asleep on this game lol
Game is unwatchable. Both teams are totally undisciplined. Flags on literally every play. Great athletes but coaching is terrible. Going for 300 yds combined in penalty yds.

Corbin was the only one possibly coming over to Viera. He played a few years in our youth league, but my son told me it never really got serious. His grandfather wanted him to stay in Rockledge.
I coached Corbin In Viera League. I coached with Jason Allen when we won Brevard County. His grandfather refused to believe Corbin was a RB. Wanted him to be the next Cam Newton. We tried to talk him out of the transfer, Corbin has incredble vision for a RB, just natural talent( Division 1 talent). We as coaches could all see it , problem was Corbin and grandad couldn't. Guess we have proved right 4 years later.

Viera too low, should be around 10-12. But they will flex some muscle over the next 3-4 games.

Merritt Isl. wants no part of Cocoa anymore and I bet M. I. will drop Viera in the future. Probably a good thing Hurricane Irma scratched Viera vs. M.I. game. Hec , Palm Bay beat Merritt Isl. 14 - 7 a couple of weeks ago and then Viera beat Palm Bay 59 -21 with 2 turnovers in the red zone, otherwise Viera would have dropped 70 on Palm Bay. It is to bad Irma canceled the Osceola vs. Viera those are games people want to see.
Agree on Palm Bay score, pirates might not of scored either but for the fact MLB Brenden Mays(Army commit) didn't play.

Different, but shouldn't these seeds be used to help determine rankings to eliminate bias?
