So true. Cocoa will be tested and will need to play A game in both. Rockledge just needs to play to a standard new to them. Play to their ability and gain confidence for playoffs(and Cocoa LOL)

Lets revisit this after MI-Rock game. If Rockledge is as improved as I think, they will beat MI convincingly. Not saying Rockledge can beat Cocoa, just think it won't be the usual blowout. Too much new talent not to make a difference in score.
 Younger and his staff talked a lot of trash last year, and was embarrassed again by Viera & Cocoa. If they talk anymore this year they are idiots for not learning the lesson. Beating a Palm Bay or MI is not it.

Rockledge, if motivated, should beat MI by 2 tds.  I know for Cocoa-Rockledge game motivation won't be a problem. Play-calling and playing disciplined defense will be keys for Rockledge in a closer game than Cocoa fans want to believe. With growing confidence in remainder games, Rockledge plays them close. There has to be some benifit for playing a tough schedule. A team should be rewarded for that, not punished. Especially if they were competitive in the loss. The Pahokee/Vero game was a close game until the end. I think Pahokee was scheduled to play at least six 7A/8A schools this year. That's tough for any 1A school.

Should've kept the districts. Only the district champ is guaranteed a playoff spot. The other spots would be given to teams with the highest points. That way, no team with a losing record gets into the playoffs. And districts like the one with Miami Central, Northwestern, and Carol City would sometimes get 3 teams in when all 3 have strong seasons.

So with this system, there's no benefit in playing a tough schedule (BTW). Just play average to below-average teams, win your games, and your in???

Ik that but i was commenting on nolebull saying we had a Florida team around the 70 range  (might be a little rough, i have them around 60) and a top 10 Maryland team 
 
If that's case i wonder how Florida would do in these matchups if it a top 25 team instead of a 60-70 range team 

Right now in the state media poll FH is ranked 8th among ALL classes, but after this win we may jump a spot or two

BTW... this was the 1st team from Florida FH has ever played. 

1st of all... this isn’t “cow country” lol.
2nd Fort Hill is a small School with former large school traditions.
FH is 4 time defending champions winning 62 of their last 63 games.
FH would have more D1 players if people didn’t have the same mind set about 1A football. Ty Johnson who is starting RB at UMD lead the nation last year in YPC came from FH. 
This was a great game. MCC’s QB has a bright future ahead of him. I feel it was MCC’s quick scores, and FH’s long slow drives were the difference maker. MCC’s defense was on the field most of the night, and by the 4th it showed.
great effort by both teams. It was one of the best games I’ve witnessed at Greenway Ave Stadium 

this is where this new format could cripple MCC.  Because if Jauqien, Valentine, and tall basketball receiver stay healthy; they have all the incredients to make the same run as last year.

Wow. That's pathetic. I don't care how many games they won. They are a 1A team In the middle of cow country Maryland. 
Mel CC attracts top transfers all around Brevard County just like Viera and Cocoa. They got studs a plenty. 
And they lost to some slow white farm boys from bum -=^& Maryland. 
Just goes to show you an overrated coach who is only good for recruiting can't beat hard work, execution, team work, coaching and loyalty

Just rolled in from Martin County, as Viera played like dogs and came home with a District win and clinched their District.  I just poured a bourbon n coke and must backtrack on some words I was mentioning about bad Districts. I believe this year Viera may be in the worst District I have ever seen.  However, they got their games in against Vero Bch., Cocoa, Gonzaga, and Rockledge.  Wish we could have gotten Osceola game in.   They will be fine in playoffs.  Just have to play well.

I believe I mentioned it last night in some thread to Tiger86, that the Raiders are pretty damn good. They will win out in the district (included beating my almamater), loose to Cocoa in their rival game; they will then host a 1st round game,  They could be dangerous for a few rounds. 

Cruise might be a good word, but MC had 1st n goal at the 3 yrd. line late 1st., fortunately 2 sacks and a penalty forced a missed 35 yrd. FG. Then Viera put up 39 points in the next about 14 minutes clock time.  MC is young and Viera sloppy early.  George Johnson #7 for MC is pretty raw. Many of the boys said he balls out there.
