10 undefeated teams play tonight. How many will survive? One will definitely be out because Jones and Jesuit play each other.
8A Seminole
7A Mitchell
7A Niceville
7A Bloomingdale
6A Gaither
5A Jones
5A Jesuit
5A Dunnellon
4A Cocoa
1A Baker
Cocoa gonna win for sure. Cardinal Gibbons don't have the recruiting advantage like dem public school boyz.

Slacking??? We went 7-3.
One of those teams on this list beat us (Pahokee). 10-0 2B State Champion
The other team that beat us was a runner up to Bolles (Clewistion). 10-0 2A Runner up
Lastly, We lost to a team out of state Powerhouse South Carolina - Byrnes.
We also finish with a 3A State Championship over pine forest.... A title game no one thought we would win
So if you want to call that slacking then ok.... lets call it that.
If you don't know me, I like to tease.

Also, 2006 was a year The Muck sent 4 teams to the state championship and came back with 3 state championship.
Glades Day 1A
Pahokee 2B
Glades Central 3A
So not really slacking
Please note I excluded Pahokee.

I believe 3 of their touchdowns in that game were defensive. Not taking anything away from your post, but their offense just always seems to be a step or two behind their vaunted defense every year. In 2017 when they played Venice their offense just couldn’t manufacture points consistently enough to be able to win the game. The same thing occurred in 2018 when they couldn’t defeat Lakeland to win the championship. I don’t know how much that will play a factor tonight, but I actually only had Venice losing by 10. We’ll see I suppose.
I'm not a huge fan of comparisons, but the the result of Manatee vs Venice and Manatee vs STA is pretty compelling.

STA put up 33 points on a stout American Heritage defense and seems to be clicking coming into this game. STA has won 47 straight playoff games at home dating back to 2003. If I was a betting man, I would pick STA winning comfortably.

5. Cocoa
7. Merritt Island
#5 is American Heritage Plantation, not Cocoa
#7 is not Merritt Island, but that is a very good guess

That's correct. Below is the current AP Top 25. Next to each team name is their ranking, if any, in 1995. NR=not ranked. Many new faces on the scene!

1) Lakeland, Bolles
2) Lakeland
3)
4) Lakeland
5)
6)
7)
8) Coral Gables
9) FrostproofYou are correct on #1, #2, #4, and #8.
1. Bolles and Lakeland have each completed 6 undefeated seasons. Who's next on the list? St Thomas Aquinas with 4
2. Lakeland had undefeated seasons in 96, 99, 04, 05, 06, 18.
4. Lakeland is the only team to do it 3 years in a row. Glades Central came very close, with only one loss from 1998-2000.
8. Coral Gables went 12-0 in 1964.

Hint for the second question...all of those undefeated state champions were different teams than those listed above.
-
2006 was an incredible year. The following state champions all finished the year undefeated. There could have been 7, but dem boyz from Belle Glade was slackin.
6A Northwestern
5A Lakeland
4A Plant
2A Bolles
2B Pahokee

Naples would avoid top teams like the plague when Kramer was there. They were content with bringing in bad teams from Miami for gimme wins. Never tested their teams and then they got outclassed in the playoffs.
Vero was like that for a while.
Naples played the following trash teams. Bill Kramer should hang his head in shame.
2005 and 2006 -Chaminade-Madonna (CM won state title in 05 and made semis in 06)
2007 and 2008-Monsignor Pace(Pace made the state semis and nearly beat Cocoa in 08).
2011 and 2012-Venice
2013-Centervile, OH and IMG
2014 -Manatee (state semifinalist)
2015 and 2016-AH Delray (state finalist in 15)
2017 and 2018-Miami Palmetto (8-2 and 10-2 teams)

okay
and to answer your question STA may very well have 800+ wins if they had been around 100 years but we don't know for sure, the purpose behind this thread is simply to actually have a list available of teams who passed 600 (and I guess also add teams to the 700 win mark)
I'm sure over time more teams will join the list and there are plenty of programs who probably would already be on there if they had been around longer..and that's fine, ColumbiaFan. It's an interesting stat, but it really doesn't say that much because the data is not normalized, ie schools have been playing vastly different numbers of years. If one desires to use such data to judge program effectiveness, I think it would be more relevant to look at FHSAA wins.

I just 'pray' you can come up with a better name for this elite group of schools than The 700 Club.
Some of the aforementioned teams may need prayer to win a state title again
