  1. Football facilities are really nice. 100yd indoor practice facility with 1 end zone. Great weight room with a nutritional station. Over 150 lockers, offices for coaches, and 3 meeting rooms. The gym is quite nice as is the baseball stadium. Not out of this world nice but this is a football forum and I’m speaking on the football facilities.
  2. Imagine how much better Colquitt could’ve been if they got some more of those white kids out. Also the school is 26% black and 47% white. I’d think an expert like yourself would know that. Like you said in an earlier post, they aren’t just coming from Colquitt either. I know of numerous players who have just magically popped up on the field there. It doesn’t hurt that Colquitt has regularly 10 D1 players on the field with the best resources and possible supplemental aid that no one else has. Of those teams you listed in the “little S E C”, only one has won a natty title in the past 25 years.
  3. Rashad Greene was better than Peter Warrick or Anquan Boldin?! Haha that’s a good one
  4. Greatest coach in America?! Shoot I can think of 10 who’ve won more than him without a nutritional program & an indoor practice facility. Worse athletes too.
  5. Well of course he was, your lord and savior Rush was NOT above breaking the rules to try and win. All that talent and more runner up finishes than titles...sheesh
  6. Recruit?! From where? They’re in the middle of nowhere
  7. Mad Co was a dang good team then. Lots of talent.
  8. They’ve got too much invested in the program and too many talented athletes to fall off the map.
  9. I’m just giving you a hard time. Those two, Bolles, and Bartram are the only teams in recent history that have played you guys consistently lately correct?
  10. The new Colquitt coach really is solid. He’s not Rush (not many are) but he’s good. It’ll be the hurry up of all hurry up offenses.
  11. He’s just mad they beat Columbia last year haha
  12. Closer to the office plus have a co-worker whose a UC grad. Columbia vs Bartram will certainly be better
  13. All them facilities and you got 27th at state this year? I’ve been to the Bolles facilities for my nephew’s competitions a few times and their swim complex is certainly better than yours.
  14. I’ll be at St Aug to see them, Mainland, & Mandarin and may go to Bolles vs UC the next night unless the wife requires me elsewhere. The BT vs Columbia game will be good as always...you should definitely go @ColumbiaHighFan2017class
  15. The coaching salaries are not even close, especially when you compare public in FL vs public in GA. The facilities are the same way. You guys also have larger rosters as well. Our state legislator makes it hard for a public school down here to spend any significant amount of money on sports. Private schools down here spend more money on coaching salaries and facilities. I know plenty about Colquitt County athletics. One of my good friends coaches a sport there (not football).
  16. The rest of the facilities are absolutely insane. Nicest I’ve seen. As far as a public school goes, Colquitt County is extremely nice (I know Rabid wants his ego stroked)
  17. They’ve got very little depth. 35-40 varsity players. But I would say they’ve got 10-12 of those guys that’ll be D1. If your new coach is worth anything, you guys should win. I don’t think Trinity is exceptionally well coached.
  18. And defensively they play almost exclusively cover 3
  19. Expect legit D1 guys all over the field. One CB (5 star) committed to Clemson with another (4 star) committed to GT. They will be huge on the line on both sides of ball. The offense is pretty basic with the premise being get the ball to an athlete.
  20. I wish we followed the rules that GA does when it comes to padded practices with other teams over the summer. I think that is a HUGE benefit they have over us.
  21. Yes. Here’s why: 1) Player evaluation. You get to see the guys put on pads and play in a real life situation. How did Timmy look at CB against the best WR in the city? How do John & Jimmy match up against each other come game time? 2) Play-calling evaluation. How did we handle 3rd & 7 or long? How did our 4-2-5 look against a spread offense? 3) Offseason lifting evaluation. Do the guys look bigger, faster, stronger than they did last season? 4) A reward for the kids for putting in the work in spring practice. 5) Establishing that team’s identity. Did you work hard all winter to make the team more physical? Did that work? All the spring is, is an evaluation period. At least for good programs with good coaches. Seeing what went well, what went okay, and what just went to hell. It’s an excellent opportunity to get better and any time you can get better is a necessary and wonderful thing.
  22. The news crews have been going around to spring practices around the area. I see some programs, like Creekside are having record numbers (93), and others are having low numbers. I’ll be very interested to see some of these spring games/scrimmages here in the 904.
  23. I have them winning 4 games. Brutal schedule.
