Yes! Cocoa may have a tough task in front of them.
Cocoa has beaten Bolles at their house before (Not in playoffs but)
Cocoa will be fine. They will win by 14

2013 they had an atrocious loss to a 6-5 team. Freaking terrible.
2014 they lost to a Kentucky team. Lol.
2015 they played some obscure no name Virginia team and then again had no business playing heavy weight St Edwards
2016 just tarred and feathered. An embarrassment to watch them get destroyed by a team that looked like a FBS vs FCS game
2019 was the infamous loss to a JV team with their starters. Lol
Lost to # 70 Trinity who was State Champ
st Ed’s was #8 in country and they lost 24-14 with it being 17-14 with one minute left
you don’t even believe all this garbage you say...are you one of those guys that gets paid to get clicks for website?

2011 they went 0-3 in OOS games and were completely out matched, out classed and out coached by superior competition.
Just a poodle trying to run with pit bulls
#122 Colerain by 10
#24 Skyline by 16
# 56 west Monroe by 15
If they were outmatched then the scores do not reflect being Out matched

Man Cocoa is atrocious in OOS!!!
2010 they barely beat a 5 loss team from freaking Mississippi by 1 touchdown
They also beat a garbage PA team, and had to come back after being down multiple scores to beat a NOT-Top 25 Texas who was missing their All American running back!!
Cocoa then won the 2A title by beating 4 teams 14-9, 14-7, 17-15 and 14-13!!!!
Lmao! Man that is there flag bearing team?? Yikes
Olive Branch MS was ranked 288 in country with losses to South Panola twice who was 12 in country, Brentwood Academy who was 101 in country
Abilene was #1 in COUNTRY at time and (finished 158 in Country ) and had just beaten LA Star Champ Franklinton week before and beat Plant (Stars Runner Up) the week after
don’t let the facts get in the way.

Whoever had Cocoa ranked 12th in the nation at any point in history should quit ranking teams for the rest of their life, and delete any trace of that incompetence.
Cocoa is a quality small team that would compete well with publics around the country their size.
They always got credit for just signing up for the auto losses. But anyone can do that. That’s not impressive. Beating the teams is impressive.
Hoover isn’t even that good on a national level and they had the 2nd and 3rd stringers in killing them. It was the most embarrassing moment in their history. The varsity Getting beat by an average teams JV team. Lmao!
Cocoa is local. And with 12 transfers per year they are a little better than that and not much else!
2009 it was 22 on MaxPreps. Lol
with no transfers. Lol
-
Nope
You have to do better??? Your credibility, what little you had is gone
Final ranking each year
2011 Cocoa 320
Colerain 122
Skyline. 24
west Monroe. 56
2012 Cocoa 237
St Joes 101
2013 Cocoa 536
Gonzaga 430 ( all losses to Top 300)
2014 Cocoa 288
Trinity 70
2015 Cocoa 357
St Ed’s 6
2016 Cocoa 55
Bishop Gorman. 1
Some really good teams on this list. Only “smoking” was Gorman

What I noticed from Brevard since Wilk got to Cocoa was one one other than Cocoa was remotely good. From 2008 or so. And they weren’t really that good nationally or at the top of the state. Just good for their area. They were playing in the bush league classes when they were winning state. Playing slappies.
Then the flood gates opened and Brevard became the Wild West. With Mays at Viera, Cocoa and Stacy at Mel CC, they poached all the talent possible from Titusville, Melbourne, Astronaut, Holy Trinity etc etc.
And they still couldn’t field elite teams at the state level. They routinely got clubbed by the better teams. Even with Brevard County all star teams they still couldn’t compete on a national level or at the top of the state.
Brevard has some decent individual talent, but if everyone played in their zone you would have a lot of mediocrity all over, and no one even close to sniff a title.
Brevard is just overrated and just because they have a lot of forum posters on message boards those won’t change one iota
National rankings speak a different story. Thank God no one looks at the Nolebull poll. They do that one at the Slurpee King. Cocoa national ranking in 08, 09, 10, 16 was Top 50 in country, twice in Top 25.

Was that the year that Cocoa was only undefeated team in State? Also I believe they beat the team that beat Dwyer? Glades Central

IMG for sure lol, but IMG would take state if they played.
without looking them up I'm guessing...
Rockledge - South Florida to tough in the last decade for the Rock. After Lusk left and Younger took over it's a different team.
Jones - Couldn't get past Cocoa. Bonus???
Escambia - Don't ever remember them getting to the finals so it's a guess.
Naples - I'm guessing Maybe Naples... Has it been that long since they played Cocoa in 2A and took Odom Coached Cocoa out before the Wilks era?
Gully Prep - Never have, but this could be the semi's for them if they get lucky. Probably not though.
Coach Odom was already gone when Cocoa lost to Naples in 2007 Semifinal.

Merritt Island opened in 1967??? Didn’t MI win like 26/27 out of 30 during the first years of the series. That is not much of a rivalry

Cocoa vs Rockledge is a rivalry

I believe they had 10 total transfers in 2016. Of those, most were Seniors because they signed scholarships. They did get 4-5 more in 2017 that were also Seniors
kids transfer to win Championship

What year did Cocoa have 21 transfers? I remember them having 10 one year?

Rashean Lynn is a WR. And transfered in 2016 from Titusville. Cocoa's RB is Caziah Holmes who is homegrown.
Caziah is from Cocoa? I thought he was from Titusville?

That’s pretty cool. I never realized that Cocoa had such a talent rich roster before.
It could be comparable to a Saint Thomas or IMG, who consistently produce NFL level talent. Just on a smaller scale, obviously, as they are a public school.
I’m still hoping Venice beats the crap out of Cocoa next season though. It’ll be a fun game to watch for sure.
Not consistent but just great group, only 2 or 3 other NFL guys since the 80s
Venice is ok they won’t beat the crap out of Cocoa that is for sure
