I don't think you realize how many teams get 5-7 transfers. That would be a crazy number of schools. The difference is the top schools are getting stars where average and bad schools just get somebodies random friend, a kid who moves, a bench player whose uncle told him he should start etc. 100s of transfers never get reported because they aren't good. No way to fairly tell the difference to break it up that way. You would just be reading a numbered printout to break them up.
Maxpreps is garbage. I would like to see what the specific details of the agreement to use that nonsense that could literally change lives for the worse. Imagine losing a playoff spot and precious game film because some clown computer ranked you lower off of inaccuracies. You don’t get a scholarship, you stay home, get in trouble and rob someone then die in prison.
The FHSAA wants players to die in prison. That’s where we are at now
The only “issue” is transfers. Cut the classes down to 4-5 and create an open division for all teams who have a set amount of transfers (5-7 or 10 for ex.)
boom! It’s done. The districts would be larger which makes scheduling and travel easier. All the all star academies can fight for one title. And the rest playing with neighborhood kids can fight for the other 4.
done!
