As such, the school immediately named longtime assistant coach Ty Lawrence as the new head coach, giving the program continuity heading in to the 2016 season. This will be Lawrence’s job as a head coach.

Also announced at the same time, according to the report, that Keith Hileman was named Athletic Director replacing Sherman in that role as well.

Sherman leaves South Sumter with a 261-109 career record that includes a State Championship appearance in 2005, according to the report.
