  1. Glad to hear this one could be in the talks right now! I would try to make that one. Enjoy watching games from both of those fields.... I still don't feel Dwyer will play Oxbridge Academy until the program is struggling. I don't think Dwyer has had any interest playing Pahokee, Oxbridge Academy, or even Glades Central of late TBH.
  2. We really don't have very many big time QBs in SFL. Perhaps some of it should be credited to a lot of good defenses but overall it does not seem to be region for producing big time QBs. In fact the most recent dominant QB in Tutu Atwell will likely mostly be playing WR at Louisville. Who are some of the recent SFL QBs to make it very successfully D1 or to the NFL at the QB position? Jacoby Brisset out of Dwyer...Trying to think of a few more...
  3. @MuckCityChamp...By the way, did you ever get that list of QBs in PB County or SFL that are convincingly better than Qxbridge Academy QB Geo Richardson?
  4. WR Tommylee Lewis and DB Darrel Hunter.
  5. Well...I'm not denying Florida's production of NFL players. I'm referring to a solo Varsity roster. That was 1993 (25 years ago) . How many teams have we seen over the last 25 years that produced 8 NFL players on the same roster for one year?
  6. Is Lemon Bay High and Venice High even in the same county? Seems like a awfully long drive to school back and forth daily... Why would a successful QB coming from a winning program want to transfer for his Senior year? What would have possibly persuaded this?
  7. Confirmed via WQAM and Larry Blustein that 2020 Champagnat Catholic DE Jesus Machado has transferred to Miami Central: https://wqam.radio.com/articles/feature-article/post-season-huddle-jesus-machado-miami-central
  8. I do remember that team but did not know that roster was that loaded. I guess you could say that would likely be the most talented team in the last 30 years. 8 is more then 7. 8 players on the same team making the NFL is insane. This is a example of how elite the muck used to be and where it is at now. Still good teams but I don't think we will see a nationally elite team out of the Muck, PB County, or perhaps even FL on that level any time soon.....And yes I do remember Dwyer losing week 1 to GC that year. Like I said, I don't know if it was on as strong as some of the top muck teams but on paper the roster was loaded with NFL talent.
  9. Always QB for Boldin? Never a few test runs for fun in HS or did the transition happen at FSU. Amazing that although he was not blazing fast he became one of the greatest NFL WRs of all time. Did FSU originally have plans to make him the QB or they just take him as what we now know a as "ATH" position knowing how special he was? He always had those strong hands as a NFL WR...Very few pulled a ball away from Boldin in traffic.
  10. Wow. that is impressive as well. 4 on Defense! Who are the top 5 WRS in Pahokee history? Is NuKeese Richardson in that top 5? I can probably guess #1 in Anquan Boldin.
  11. Possibly 2009 Dwyer. Step aside "D1 signees" . 2009 Dwyer had 7 rostered players get drafted or make NFL teams. Definitely the best Dwyer team ever- talent speaking. That team may not have been as strong at the HS level as the best Pahokee or GC teams (for debate) but as far as rostered talent, it is hard to argue with 7 NFL players on a HS team at the same time - talent speaking anyway.
  12. This is going to sound asinine, but for the muck guys... Any insight on Glades Day. Glades Day only loses 5 Seniors from last year after finishing the season very strong and falling to Moore Haven 35-42 in the 2A playoffs. With 2A South appearing to be back down with Champagnat Catholic losing their HC and a few outbound transfers, any chance Glades Day could contend or ruffle some feathers in a perhaps ugly 2A South in 2018?
  13. Not sure. I'll let the muck guys battle that one out... IMO the best PB County team historically may not have been a Pahokee or Glades Central team (who both had the most great teams though).
  14. As to Gio Richardson being "the best" in South FL - those are your words, not mine. I stated Gio Richardson is "arguably" the best QB in PB County or perhaps South Florida. Now, to stay on topic please advise all of the other 2019 and 2020 QB that are so great in SFL and convincingly better than Geo Richardson? Because there are so many great SFL QBs, right? Enlighten me. Hint: Tutu Atwell is off to Louisville. As to Oxbridge Academy as a team. I am considering the fact that they have been the best and most talented team in PB County the last two years, are arguably still the best coached team in PB County. I understand the roster has taken a hit and will lack depth (again) this year but consider that as of now (3/12/2018) they still have a pretty solid roster of starters and are probably a few lineman away from being a threat to return to Orlando. I also understand that they are a few outbound transfers away from potentially being a struggling 3A roster but let's stick with the facts until something changes otherwise. I will be the first to admit if and when Oxbridge Academy is a sunk ship . I promise . For now I will give the program the benefit of the doubt that we are only in March and things may also maintain or improve. IMO 2015 Atlantic was better then 2017 Atlantic. 2017 Atlantic IMO may have been as good at the skills, but overall I would lean 2015 Atlantic. Better QB(s), RBs, and the OL and DL had way more size and the team seemed to play with more a chip on their shoulder : They were actually rated #1 in most of the year in 8A going into the post-season by the state poll until they ran into a buzz-saw defense in the third round when 8A South was much better at the top then what it is now. Do you know what 2015 Flanagan or 2015 Columbus would have done to 2017 Atlantic? Oxbridge did not have depth this past year as well, but their starters were better then anyone and their coaching ran circles around most teams in PB County. Right now , with Oxbridge's roster and coaching I still think they are top 5 in PB County. I will only be convinced that as of now Pahokee, Dwyer, Atlantic and PB Central are as good or probably better. I would also mention that 2015 Oxbridge Academy roster was surely more loaded than 2016 Oxbridge Academy but the coaching, health and chemistry seemed to make for a very productive team. Overall, I agree with you analysis. I happen to think both Atlantic and PB Central will get players in consider them a 8A toss up - for now. Just MHO for now.... I think Pahokee and Dwyer should be improved and I round out my 5 with Oxbridge Academy with a "*" .
  15. Haven't at least a couple talented players (like out of Oxbridge Academy) transferred to Delray Atlantic as well? Agree but until those changes happen at Oxbridge they are still arguably the best coached team and although they lack depth they still have some solid starters....Including arguably the best QB in PB County or perhaps South Florida. I understand the change may be coming but until it does the Thunderwolves are still a extremely efficient machine. You will know Oxbridge has taken their last stand once Dwyer finally decides to play them.
  16. The top varies by years. One could argue 5A could rival 6A or the best at the top this year but agree 8A generally has the most depth. 2015, 8A was strong at the top.
  17. Maxpreps, March and rosters when combined should be taken very lightly....For me, Oxbridge is still the top team in PB County until further notice. I would round out my top 5 in not specific order with Atlantic, Dwyer, Pahokee and PB Central...
  18. What I'm extremely concerned about right now is 2A South. I sure hope Champagant Catholic can stay somewhat intact....
  19. I don't know who the 2nd best team in 7A Region 4 was this year....The drop off between 1 and 2 in that Region is huge but that is also because of STA. The Region could definitely use a tune up. I would add Ely probably has potential to be good but at the end of the day it is hard to call anyone in that region or any 7A Region a "contender" versus STA. Venice had a very good team this year, were at Home and were blood-thirsty. They got by STA in a down year. Not sure... but no one else in the State in 7A may have even contended with STA in 2018.
  20. But STA is in that Region....In 2018, the weakest 7A Region top to bottom....probably. But how do you figure "by far" ? When you have STA in your Region, generally no team is realistically a contender. Tell me another 7A team in any region over the last few years that would be a consistent contender in 7A Region 4 with STA present? Would you prefer Columbia over the years played in 7A Region 4 versus 7A Region 1? What does it matter if you get hung out to dry in Week 1 or pummeled in Week 3? You have to go through STA regardless. Let me also take Bartram Trail out of Region 1, Plant out of Region 2 and Venice out of Region 3. Now talk to me about 7A as a whole in 2018. Was there much of a difference this year between Doral Academy and Columbia, Wiregrass Ranch, East Lake, Palmetto, Edgwater, or Lincoln? Matchup speaking, like Doral any one of those teams likely gets the snot beat out of them versus a extremely down 2018 STA team. Ask Venice what team was a harder game versus STA or Bartram Trail? My point is 7A Region 4 is still generally the hardest region to advance in beyond 3 games, thus it might be fair to say it is not "by far" the weakest 7A Region. Again, STA is part of that Region.
  21. Well...You have sugar fields and corn fields....I think BYU may be a harder transition then Lincoln for kid growing up in the muck though... I have been to Lincoln. People seemed friendly and loved their sports and Big Red Machine...
  22. Glad to see the statewide support for Stoneman Douglas in what should be a great event with that lineup of teams. I walked around the Stoneman Douglas school the other day and there were banners, poster boards of sorrow and support from schools locally, statewide and nationally. Very classy of Trinity Christian, Gil Morales and the Ben Watkins Tournament of Champions to organize, invite and assist Stoneman Douglas in the event.
  23. Last year at this time I would say Miami Central was "loading" or had "loaded up". Nothing close to that right now. Not even close. Again though...we are only in March.
