It's a matter of getting over the state semifinal hump, Baker has been consistent every year in getting the next level. funny enough people count them out all the time. I do expect Baker at the state semis tho. 1. Niceville 2. Crestview 3. Baker 4. South Walton 5. Tate 3A Pensacola Catholic hasn't been up. This area is mostly 1A or 6A teams (or 7A if for some reason Crestview and Niceville want to swap classes) Crestview gonna have to fight hard, it was in 2002 that Josh King hit a 55 yard field goal at the end of the 4th quarter with 15 seconds to go to put the game into OT where Crestview would beat Milton. And go to the 3A state final game. The heart in me says Crestview, but as always, I wouldn't be shocked to see Niceville winning. I think it'll be a low scoring game probably 35 point ceiling maximum. Crestview's defense seems to be getting up to par tho with the Milton game. It's hard to say what Crestview will do because the schedule has mostly been 1A and local teams on the slump. Crestview's only powerhouse matchup is Niceville after all. But best of luck to the boys at Fort Walton and Niceville!

Crestview 34, Milton 21. Baker 35-9 South Walton Navarre 17-13 Escambia (Escambia was up 10 points before Navarre came back, what a crazy game. Tate 48-34 Pace West Florida Tech 56-7 Pensacola Catholic Arnold 35-16 Rutherford Jay 48-35 Cottondale or is it Cottondale 48-35 Jay. I do not know. Freeport 21-20 Gulf Breeze 49-0 Walton (Walton lost a few of their starters) First time since 06' Crestview has been 7-0. They will meet with Fort Walton next week to guarantee a playoff berth in a long time. Then if they win that game, it'll be 8-0 against Niceville who should be 8-0 as well. The two best teams in the panhandle will duke out at Crestview to put the seal on number 1 seeding. I will try to periscope the whole game for you folks, not sure if I will provide commentary lol as I do not know half the team's names haha. Some had South Walton pegged in this game, but Baker just showed up to give them the run.

Crestview over Armwood? Hm interesting, but that's where I'd put them in the bottom five as beating Central or Carol would be the dream on top of Niceville.

There's always the chance that it turns and hits us, which is slim, but you never know with these weather systems.

Crestview 61 - Choctaw 40. 6-0 now, also Choctaw has beat Crestview the last 4 times every time so big things for Crestview!

Crestview went 5-0. I saw them at 3-0 and was like "is this real?"... and now it's 5-0. Granted, the bulldogs haven't played real tough teams like Niceville and even Choctaw n Fort Walton who maybe on the slump, but are still local rivals so it'll be good games. The Niceville game at the end of October will be it... hopefully I can get that night off work! Anyways, just wanted to post this, I can recall the years of hearing about how bad the football team did each week, and the memories of Niceville trashing us on social media!

Yea possibly! But who knows at this point if destin high is really gonna become something.

I think this was in June when the council met to discuss it, so it's still a rumor or in the drawing board. But it would be interesting to see destin high unfold.

Good to hear! haha Do you love white sandy beaches, resorts, and touristy stuff? That's Destin. And no, there's the local middle school but the board and city hall is looking at establishing a Destin high school if possible. Students have a choice of South Walton high school, Niceville, Fort Walton Beach, Navarre, Walton High school, Baker, Crestview, and Choctaw. These are all schools that are 40 minutes or less to drive to by the way.

Woohoo!! I don't live in Crestview anymore though, went down south to Destin. Also was Ryan's good? I never go there because the food is cooked differently and you never know what you're gonna get on a specific day!

As S1nglewing said thats who I root for, anyone locally. Having any team go down south to play in the big games is amazing.

Saw the news and listened to what was left of the 4th quarter on Artie's feed. Yea Eagles just owned this one.

Hello everyone, Yourbasement here with a brand new post series for the Northwest Florida, covering all things from our football programs in Okaloosa. Niceville Eagles defeat Lincoln Trojans, 20-30. I had the radio feed going and heard great things, the Trojans had an interception in the 3rd quarter, but I don't think they converted, I was on and off hearing the radio feed. Heard great things about the program, and my former coworker said that the team is to form and they are a force out there on the field. Choctaw Indians lose a heart breaker to Gulf Breeze Dolphins. 29-38. Choctaw was supposed to have an easy win tonight, but it looks like a different outcome came about with Gulf Breeze winning by 38. I applaud how awesome Choctaw's coach Greg Thomas has done, although I heard from the radio feed that they lost seniors and some defense. I'll still be on the lookout for this team though. Pace Patriots defeat the Fort Walton Beach Vikings. 35-7. Pace has been on and off, and Fort Walton is still in the rebuilding process with a brand new coach. The Fort Walton team is young, but they have plenty of room for growth. Navarre Raiders defeat Pensacola Catholic Crusaders. 41-13. Crestview Bulldogs blowout Northview Chiefs. 0-70 Yes folks, it was a blowout. Keep in mind Crestview is 6A while Northview is 1A. So the differences are there, and that's all I'll say. I heard the score on the radio and about coughed up my water out of shock. Baker Gators stop Holmes County. 14-30 Baker has been on the uprising, Matt Brunson is the man to thank for turning Baker into a contender. Will they make it to the state championship? We will see! A good win for them though over Holmes County.

Tommy Johnson was fired as FWB football coach/AD. FWB posted a 2-18 record the two years he was there... it'll definitely change some things.

Will keep an eye out for Pine Forest, being from Okaloosa, I know nothing about Escambia teams. Dang, didn't know Navarre lost a bunch of guys.
