Florida State, the team that should have been, but is not.

Walmart, Target here are out of bottled water. Escambia, Okaloosa are out of water at bigger establishments. My dad had cases left at Office Depot. Edit: Walmart keeps getting pallets of water and then they're all gone by 30 minutes as lines of people wait for bottled water. The cone of uncertainty is big, but it all depends on how the weather patterns play out. The Great Plains and Great Lakes/Canadian pressure systems will either turn Irma north to hit south Florida, keys area into Miami-Dade county. Or it may stay on course and continue westward into the gulf. High pressure systems are what hurricanes like to follow, however there is a low pressure wave that will hit the hurricane either this weekend or Monday. The question then becomes where will that low pressure system hit? The gulf? The keys? That will steer Irma north.

Yea they do. Some of the top talent at other schools transfer over if the student wants to make that choice, but like I said, haven't seen anything for this season.

The two closest high schools are Niceville and Fort Walton, some kids out the way east go to South Walton, but still live near Destin. EDIT: The committee is putting together the final presentation and will present it to the school board and superintendent this month or next month sometime.

Hey all, I've been super busy with real life and my college education. But, recently here in Okaloosa, Destin has put together a committee of different folks from around the community to look at a Destin High School which would have to be built onto the middle school. Real estate is a concern, but I think they can hash it out. Funding is a different question though, but they're looking to use the BP oil spill money. So we'll see what happens.

So Baker is the new champion! /s I do wonder what will happen and if the appeal will be successful.

Just cut off sections of Florida and do it by congressional districts. Panhandle plays Panhandle. Tallahassee big schools play each other, and the rural schools play rural. The best team of each district plays in a 27 bowl size game. Rural plays there own bowl. Teams can still schedule outside of district to fill in their own schedule. Relative geography, and teams can still schedule hard games if they want. Done, problem solved.

we will turn this into the insight thread Pensacola is supposed to be reloaded. best panhandle team is debatable we will see. Crestview had a mediocre season, the game I went to against rival fort Walton they weren't doing little things and weren't boxing out completely and let teams get too many second chances. Coach Watson is back and I think he will set this squad over the edge though. Plenty of sophomores, and juniors. Even one freshman on the varsity team. So I'm staying optimistic. Crestview is already 2-0 playing in this tournament against Alabama teams I think
