Dan DP beat that Seminole state title team 34-22 when they played. It was 34-7 in the 4th.
another year that DP could have won state. Beat Boone by three scores in the regular season then choked in the playoffs. Good news Pipe Dreams. They won't choke this year because they are way better than anyone left.

Seminole's DJ Hampton broke his foot and will not play. This kid is really good and the reason they are still playing. They have no shot vs DP without him and had little shot with him.

Mainland lost their QB down 14-7 but even worse they've given up 27 points.

Athletes came to Cocoa because they wanted to play for a good team and possibly get a scholarship in a sport they love to play.
Cocoa doesn't need to recruit. Some good Athletes want to play for a winning team. I know many schools that have transfers in other sports that enrich their teams. Cocoa has a great football program. They develop athletes in every area of football.
Tell me Booker T doesn't get transfers. Tell me Miami Central doesn't get transfers. Tell me most of the better football programs do not get transfers. Name one really good school that didn't get transfers this year. Just one.
Once again blaming others. Apopka didn't get any. Timber Creek didn't get any. Seminole didn't get any. Osceola didn't get any. LAke Brantley didn't get any. IF these schools did they didn't get many and no where near 15. 15 kids don't just show up to one school to play football. Are you telling me Palm Bay, Merrit Island, Heritage don't get kids into college? Kids are going to move around but 15 is a little fishy. Seems like someone has been promoting hard. We will see in a day if it paid off

First, Landmark and Avante Garde are non-FHSAA members, so those teams wouldn't even qualify.
Second, half the other teams you mentioned are staying in the SSAC. Halifax and Wildwood are the only ones that aren't in the SSAC. Wildwood would be in 1A and Halifax 2A.
So let's not start throwing things together just prove a point because we don't like the system. What is sad is no one wants to give this a chance to see what is going to happen, what the districts are going to look like or what the new conferences will look like that are going to come out of 1A-4A.
So far I am aware of two 1A conferences forming (one being the old Suwannee Conference). Plus there is a possible formation of super conference down in the Polk/Highlands County area that could consist of at least 6-8 teams consisting of teams that would be in 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A. From what I have seen, this is seriously something the FHSAA could not put together under the current system, but talk about travel being cut down.
I will give it a shot, that still doesn't mean there aren't many flaws in it. Landmark and Avante Garde were just two random schools replace them with Umatilla and Poinciana or Tavares. Bad teams, really bad teams could stick together and make the playoffs by playing each other. It will be interesting to see who tries to manipulate the system.
It will be exciting it still won't be fair but unfortunately there is no fair way unless we just give everyone a trophy. At the end of the day the best team in each class will win the state title on the field.

Here is a scenario for you that could happen. All the really bad independents join back in. The worst 10 teams agree to be in a conference together. So lets say
Landmark Christian Haines City 0-6
Merritt Island Christian 0-7
Lake Mary Prep 1-8
Wildwood 0-10
Master Academy Oviedo 3-7
Orangewood Christian 2-8
First Academy Lesburg 4-6
International Community 4-6
Halifax 1-6
Avante Academy 0-4
come to an agreement to all play each other. Halifax is the highest rated team according to Laz index at 526 in the state. Someone in that conference will probably go 10-0 and make the playoffs and still really suck.

DP can't pick against them with that defense

2016 DP is a little better but the inconsistency on offense remains a problem. QB Marvin Washington has improved which makes them better. The defense is still one of the best in the state as they were last year as well.

There is no reason for anyone 4A and under being independent now unless they are in like the Sunshine Conference or something like that and I'm not sure if that is considered independent.

Winner is a big favorite to make the finals and possibly win because the South is down. Seminole just lost their best defensive player. I got DP by 14

Winter Haven at Osceola, Kathleen at Viera and Bartow at Bishop Moore this year to name a few so I don't think Polk is the same

How can you pick a team and then not even know whee the game is being played? The game is at Lake Gibson. I have seen both teams play this year and I'm not sure Lake Gibson can score enough points on Armwood. I will take Armwood on the road 24-14

Plant vs Lakeland next week. 181 I have you crap earlier about plant losing 2nd round. Looks like Plant is clicking on all cylinders. I might make another trip to Dads to watch that one next week. Looks like the Naughts are in trouble

Ap had Vero 3 Seminole 4. Rankings mean nothing and there are a bunch to look at. I had DP in the north and this makes the road a bit easier. Vero will have to travel to DP week 3 if they both win next week. Winner most likely gets Seminole now in the semis

I'm not a jones fan, far from it. they are recruiters just like cocoa just not as good at it yet. I didn't bring up cocoa until I only stated they were going to move to 5a something there coach stated in the local paper. Then typical big bad cocoa fan decided to act like jones was scared. Well BTW isn't scared of you. Good luck losing to them again
