For those interested, looks like MaxPreps has updated the schedules for IMG National, Blue, and White.  (Note: "Central" on IMG National's schedule is Phenix City, Alabama, not Miami Central).

Yup saw it on their twitter

Rivals has Jayvan Boggs rated as a 4 Star now.  Do you really believe based on production against topflight competition this guy is better than Boggs?  That is my only point.

Not at all. But I know what you mean

Actually a 4 star recruit by 247 and 3 star by On3 who have been guilty of overrating players at times especially if they haven't put up the numbers proving their worth on the field of play.  He doesn't appear to have done that.

Rivals has him rated as a 5 now

If I'm a college coach recruiting a kid and that kid left IMG, I'd dig deep to find out why.   The kid would have to have a really good excuse.  IMG is probably the closest thing to what things will be like for the kid when he arrives on a college campus.

I don't think he was the number 1 or 2 option at IMG so he went to FBA to more than likely be the first option there

You can't have a round robin format with 8 HS football teams in a two week period. Round robin means you play everyone in your bracket. FHSAA does it with seeding and single elimination. 1 vs 8 and so on. That would be only 3 weeks of post season for the open bracket.

The bracket is split so it's round robin between the 4 teams on each side of the bracket. Making it 2 rounds of that. With the 3rd round being the elimination game with the undefeated team of the round robin having a bye in round 3. Round 4 is the state semis and round 5 is the championship

In my opinion, 8 teams should be the max. Wonder how the FHSAA will deal with the 8 team open division playoff format. Open division will have 3 post season rounds compared to the other classes that will have 5 rounds. These situations is usually when the fhsaa SHINES....LOL

Open division will be 5 rounds as well. First 2 rounds are round robin, round 3 is the elimination round, with the winner of the first 2 rounds having a bye round 3, round 4 is semifinal round and round 5 is the State title game

Three team jamboree at Bishop Verot Catholic High School, Fort Myers:  Verot 34 Columbus 21. ( Verot went up 27-0 to start).  Sarasota Riverview 14 Columbus 6.  Verot 21 Riverview 10.  Vikings qb, Carter Smith, is unreal.  All games were for a half.

    Columbus as in Miami Columbus?

A insider called out the school and coach and lost his job for it but that is not enough evidence that some shady crap was going on. wow, I bet criminals wish you were on the jury because no one would ever be convicted.

The coach resigned. Finishing up the current season

Here are the responses you get when making common sense statements like bump people up and down.

    You are punishing winners.

What if the team just has one good class.

No one recruits in the entire state and the FHSAA will crackdown if it actually happened,

The coach has to be better.

Crappy teams will win lower divisions

The simple truth is that only 3% of current teams have any shot of winning a state title  and only 1% have any shot of a d-1 scholarship so the rest are playing for the learning experience. Why not make it better for the masses and not make them get pummeled by a recrutied team that cheats.

When you say D1 scholarship are you just talking P4 or all of D1 in general?

I don't think they ducked but usually when a team either beats STA or comes close or have a close game with STA, STA punishes them thr next year......

Oh I'm not saying they ducked. I'm just putting out what was said. They wanted Cocoa to come back down for a 3rd year in a row instead of making a return trip to Cocoa. Cocoa wasn't going for that.  Seemed like it was going to be how the Venice series was set up with Cocoa making 2 trips and getting a home game

    8/24 Bishop Gorman

    9/16 Miami Columbus

    9/27@ Bishop Moore

    10/11 @ Chaminade

    10/18 Monarch

This right here is a potential natty schedule.....

What's their district looking like? Looks like they replaced Cocoa with Bishop Moore. Sounds like they were in talks to play again but STA wanted the game at STA for the 3rd year in a row.

Dang Rockledge might end up like Wellington was last year, Palm Bay gotta decent squad back but like you said they ain't the same, and what about Eau Gallie

If Rockledge keeps their interim coach as the HC after spring they will keep the players they have and continue to get more. They will be a very solid team that will eventually challenge Cocoa as the top in Brevard in a few seasons. Eau Gallie will be scrappy for sure but they did lose key players transferring out and brought in a couple as well. I could see them losing a few games

@KeemD321 How good is Heritage, Rockledge and Palm Bay supposed to be???

Heritage lost alot to graduation but they had a good amount of young talent as well. Palm Bay is a shell of their former selves. Rockledge should be solid but that's up in the air until they settle the HC position after the spring

Wow, they have some tough road games this season.

Yup and correction to the schedule. They will be hosting Norland. The surprise for me was that the Villages is in the district. At one point in time it was just Astronaut due to the other teams appealing to move up. Not sure what changed as far as the villages goes

How's Rockledge's coach resigning going to affect their season?

From Florida Today article. "Wayne Younger resigns as Rockledge head football coach. Younger, a former Cocoa High quarterback and a 2010 Florida International grad, coached the Raiders for nine seasons, compiling a 63-34 record. His 2018 team went 10-2, and the following season Rockledge reached the regional final round of the FHSAA playoffs. He confirmed Monday afternoon he has resigned but said he is not ready to comment on his future."

I honestly don't think it will effect it much unless they don't remove the interim tag. If they end up hiring someone else after the spring then they will definitely have a step back and have a max exodus of players

Mandarin, Vero and Cocoa. That’s the 3

Their district didn't do them any favors as far as SOS. Those 3 games positioned where they are will help. But I don't understand putting Satellite as week 1. Eau Gallie and Viera are county rivals. But Eau Gallie is having an exodus of players and have a few coming in. Mainland was supposed to be on the schedule but that fell through. Mainland almost had a tour of brevard lol. Schedule is underwhelming but trying to be optimistic. I see them winning their district easily but losing in the 2nd round of the playoffs honestly
