Also hear Palm Beach Lakes in some trouble for recruiting some player/players from Dwyer recently as last week and was turned into the state which is different than previous seasons so that rivalry between the two schools has spilled over into the off season.

Yea Lakes has had to deal with both Dwyer and Oxbridge. I guess they are trying to return the favor. Lol

Glades Central had a pretty decent year making it further than expected in the post season but I know it's not up to the standard the community has for the program. Pahokee was very disappointing by anyone standard in 1a I thought pahokee will dominate every year at that level. Dwyer actually had a pretty good regular season but like almost every year STA just to much for them. And I also will put Palm Beach Central in that conversation as well as Atlantic but hopefully we get more representation next year from the Palm Beach County area schools. Also I hope the local teams schedule more Broward and Dade schools in the regular season so that we can have a better grasp of how good our local teams are.

Atlantic will return a few pieces. It just seems like they can't ever be good enough offensively. PB Central will lose a lot of pieces, so we will see if their staff has built a program or not. If Forest Hill can and some players in the trenches,  they have the skill players to make noise.

Palm Beach has had 3 state champions in one year on 3 different occasions-2006, 2007 and 2009.  Miami-Dade is the only other county to ever have 3 or more state champions in one year.  They did that once, with 4 state champions in 2013.

Broward, Duval, Hillsborough and Polk have each had 2 state champions in one year.

2006 ALL 3 came from THE MUCK

Cocoa will running clock Pahokee again this year.

Definitely not with that team that was in Belle Glade on Friday. #44 with his pass rush is the only reason that Glades Central isn't still torching that Secondary. The offense only goes as far as #4 and #8 takes it. This is definitely not the Cocoa of old.

    1. Park Vista and Dwyer- (Dwyer)

    2. Pahokee vs Palm Beach Lakes- (Palm Beach Lakes)

    3. Palm Beach Central and Atlantic- (Palm Beach Central)

    4. Glades Central vs University School- (University School)

    5. American Heritage Delray vs Belen Jesuit- (American Heritage Delray)

    #2 was an interesting pick

Thursday Night and Saturday Morning football aren't new to Florida.... Schools do it because they share stadiums, lack of referees, and yes safety reasons. Raines-Ribault game was moved to Saturday, Pahokee-Glades Central game as well.

Some of these safety possibilities already exist in Duval County (my first time being wanded confused me as to what I was entering into) and Miami-Dade games. It is just sad that some knuckleheads have the ability to ruin the experience for everyone else.

The crazy thing is the Pahokee-Glades Central (Muck Bowl) game is always used as an example, but yet nothing has EVER happened at or during this game.

    Regular-season schedule

    Aug. 24: x-At Venice (7A/14-1)

    Aug. 31: Wellington (8A/4-5)

Sept. 7: Dr. Krop (Miami) (8A/4-6)

    Sept. 14: Fort Lauderdale (7A/2-7)

    Sept. 21: p-At Pahokee (1A/8-3)

Sept. 28: At St. Lucie West Centennial (8A/4-5-1) (D)

    Oct. 5: x-Fort Pierce Westwood (5A/6-3)

    Oct. 12: Treasure Coast (8A/4-5)(D)

    Oct. 26: Fort Pierce Central (8A/2-6) (D)

    Nov. 2: Sebastian River (6A/3-6)

Only THREE teams have winning seasons from last year and the defending champs are down this year, so this means that Vero chances of another unbeaten regular season is very high, all they have to do is beat Venice at home and that game to me is very winnable......

    LOL this guy

They will be solid as always.  One of the best coaching staffs in the state.  The kids there are strong, and disciplined.  They do not make a lot of mistakes, and they play with confidence.  I like them to win their district this year, and who knows after that.

    Over Atlantic?

Last year seemed to be a breakthrough year for them, winning in the playoffs.  They lost to Dwyer in OT during the regular season and blew the game in regulation with a missed PAT in the last minute.  They gave Atlantic all they wanted in 2 games, losing by 7 pts each game.  I am probably forgetting someone, but it did not seem like they had any big-name talent...nor in prior seasons.  If so, they showed the ability to win with good team play and without over-reliance on transfers.

Park Vista has one of the most seasoned coaches in south Florida.  Brian Dodds has been coaching for 30 years, including the past 11 seasons at Park Vista.  So, he has had a lot of time to build a foundation.  It seems like they have made slow, steady progress over the years building up to last year (versus flash-in-the-pan).  Interested in anyone's thought on them this year.

Lost to Pahokee last year in the KOC. They travel to Pahokee next week, so we will see how they look. I do know they lost a few transfers to Palm Beach Central as well.

His situation by far the worse I have ever seen in the off season most kids pick a school and pretty much they are there but with this kid he have been denied by two schools within a few months? What Oxbridge did to this kid is ridiculous pretty much pull the rug leading into his senior year. I wonder why this kid just doesn't go to his home school? does anyone know where is his home school and why he doesn't want to play for them? He was the missing piece to Dwyer state run getting pass STA without him on paper I will take STA.

His home school is Wellington, but I heard him and Coach Abel don’t mesh well. The issue and Dwyer is settled now. But, he has only practiced once according to the article. So it may take a few games for him to settle into that system
