Figure I'd get another subject up and running with the schedules close to releasing. So what are some of the best out-of-region games this season? However you decide the borders of the regions, I don't know lol but I'm sure there are some good ones.

South Broward is going to play at Boca Raton

I think South Dade may end up not being that good. They already lost the QB to Booker T Washington. Now they lost one of their best defensive players to Southridge. I hear more transfers could be in the making out of South Dade. Everyone else I think is on point on this list.

It's weird, I almost never see schools that play each other in the regular season meet up in the spring. And from the little research I've done, it seems like Godby and Rickards have been just about even the last two seasons. If Rickards has been better, it hasnt been by much

Any idea when they will officially be released? I see on the FHSAA web site that March 30 (yesterday) was the last day for schools to submit its schedule. Just curious if anyone would know.

Daniels reclassified to class of 2018, and he did early enroll at USC. But don't feel too bad for Mater Dei, they went out and picked up a pretty good QB (Bryce Young, a 2020 dual threat from Cathedral).

As a coach, going through an offseason where you lose your starting QB, RB, a WR and your best defensive player and none of it was to graduation? That's enough to have me look at coaching jobs somewhere else in the state or in a totally different state lol

I feel bad for that West Broward coach. Losing all that in the trenches hurts bad. They could have been building something solid for the next few years. You dont easily replace that

I get what you're saying, but last year's teams aren't playing. It's this year's teams. And they may both look different.. Actually they definitely will both look different.

I saw on South Broward's schedule that they only have two games up so far: the one against Everglades and then the kickoff classic, against Marina, a team from Huntington Beach, California. Interesting.

Niceville, Venice, Doral Academy, Oxbridge Academy Decent schedule for a team that we don't know how good they'll be this coming season

I’m out on Dwyer until further notice. You’ve score 5 friggin points at home in the playoffs against an in my opinion severely overrated Doral Academy team. That’s inexcusable. They could beat Gibbons by 24 and until they do it when it counts, I won’t care. (Gibbons will win though)

That 03 Carol City defense was just ridiculous. Willie Williams, Kenny Phillips, Ricky Jean-Francois, Vernon Wilder on the defense. The offense was nothing special, but it didnt need to be. Put up 10-14 points and the defense took care of the rest.

I just moved to Alabama and while I haven't been here for a football season, I'll give a few thoughts: -One reason why the publics dont have as much worry as the publics is that there is a separate organization for the privates (AISA). Now there are privates that play in the AHSAA, not sure what the stipulations are on them playing there though. -In the short time that I've been here, transferring is not nearly the issue it is in Florida. I've seen a couple kids tweet about transferring but not many. -Some stuff is tough to evaluate in my opinion, but I think the coaching in Alabama probably helps equal out whatever talent disparity there may be between FL and AL. They pay coaches better here, head coaches are ADs, just like in Texas. -The top schools in AL can definitely compete with the top schools in FL. And keep in mind, a 6A in Alabama would be closer to 4A in Florida.

Someone else may know more than me, but I saw a Footballville video about 2019 defensive lineman Denzel Daxon (Miami commit) and it said Doral Academy next to his name. And then I did a little digging and found that Samuel Anaele (2020 defensive end, Miami commit) also went from Norland to Doral.

I can't speak to all-time, but for sure and without a doubt one of the worst teams in the state of Florida right now is Westland Hialeah. I think they scored two touchdowns last season and maybe two the season before.
