new jersey would have a say so in how far above Pennslyvania is, new jersey has been the long standing powerhouse in wrestling states for many many years, penn and ohio are a close 2nd, california is always up there with some studs too....Cael being at penn state has put the country on notice, no doubt. Id take Jersey over the rest of the country year in year out.

south dade has been a top team for well over 20 years! lake gibson gets all the transfers in central florida it wants, read a wrestling message board and see the truth behind that. there are kids that transfer from brandon and go to lake gibson and win big, has happened 2 or 3 times in the last few seasons. south dade long time hc just retired and his long time assistant, who wrestled for him, is taking over. could be a new power house in the state. jesuit is alwasy good and has been for a long time, dating back 15 plus years. brandon is not near what they were when cozart was in charge(even though his son is hc and he is still coming in working with kids, sitting in the corner, coaching offseason kids).

do some orlando sentinel research. the moffett guy brought 10-15 kids, tfa had over 30 transfers. the kids started particpating in spring ball, but were not enrolled in tfa. then they attended summer workouts and were not enrolled in tfa, he was also the main catalyst at winter park, as ray said above. he got them in trouble a couple times. took 7 starters from timber creek 1 year, day before fall season started. illegal addresses, no home at the address, just a mailbox, all from a 2nd coach on the winter park team who ownd a real estate business..... when questioned(fhsaa has relased this, its a simple search) the kids all said coach moffett told me to come here..... those 30 transfers dont even really go to tfa, they are enrolled in the school, but are housed in a portable and doing florida virtual school 2 days a week to keep up with being able to graduate(hearsay, i dont know it to be 100% true, know someone who was around the program last fall).

valid, to a degree. do they keep score? why wouldnt it just be a scrimmage then.... would you agree that a huge spring game win could catapult a team into fall success? then a disappointing spring game loss could also push kids to transfer out----im gonna see how spring goes before making a decision--said every year. and no you didnt say they were trash, but they also didnt get killed by 2 of the premier programs in the state.

I dont know what planet yall are claiming to be from, but losing 7-0 to the state runner up as the worst team you have seen ever, is a freaking win in anyones book. a half or not. windermere people are calling it a win, held mighty ohs to 7 and 21 to one of the best teams in the state in edgewater. those are moral victories, other jamboree teams in the area putting up 20, 28, 35, 21 points in a half. 7-0 is not a good look vs the trash windermere team.
-
but I thought they were so bad and only played against trash teams that didnt deserve to play varsity football? so mighty osceola should have put up tons of points with their vaunted wing t attack and inpenatrable defense. 7 points in a half vs a trash team, superstar team edgewater put up 21 vs osceola, so their defense is pretty dang good to only allow that many points, 2 on blown assignments, maybe trash windermere is better than you gave them credit..... just sayin,
-
so....... talk to us about windermere getting killed. osceola only beat them 7-0

defintely was, and some false sense of hope for a couple of those schools that went 6-4, 7-3, 5-5, 10-0. the 10-0 team was getting all kinds of publicity in the local paper and online, good for them, seriosuly they beat up on the teams that are below the have nots, the never will haves or never come close's, fhsaa and ssac should team up. the bottom 25% of the bottom 25% get kicked to the other league. the best 1 or 2 teams in the other league have an option to join the big timers. do that every 2 years and literally at some point you will have 1 league very very high profile teams and 1 league of complete parity, any given year someone can win it all. which is exaclty what we all want. the studs play each other and the ones who are not ready for that level play each other.

in the large metro counties, with 20 plus schools, no chance it could happen. but im pretty sure there are counties that have less than 10 schools and it could happen. no clue what it would take to take a small county with 5 schools and pull off an ISD model and give teachers an extra 10k to work there and pay coaches like kings. Im sure some of those small county like that the football could not be nearly as good(or already be good, idk) or the actual resources to pull off such a feat would be nearly impossible at the specific county school district level. it would only take a few of the countys to do it and get a major pull from a larger county of teachers to get others on board. I will say, and I think im talking right, but doesnt many of the panhandle schools pay their teachers and coaches quite a bit more? some of the head football coaches I thought were paid as administrators? that would be a step in the right direction at each school, or just pay the Head Football coach as an 11/12 month employee. 99% of them work year round anyways, IDK what any of them make per month but if it was 5k a month or 6k a month, wouldnt that be what the coaches want anyways?

texas- oil money, bond money, independent school districts, very high property taxes, middle school football(pop warner is before 6th grade football in most parts), all coaches are in the school district, UIL(the governing body of both athletics and academics) does not allow for off campus coaches, unless you are retired by the state of texas education. the indy school districts all pay the same state level teacher pay. its their bonus/supplement that their school boards can approve. so the 100k FB coach that doesnt teach, hes probably making 35k in a school board supplment. oil money is there, but in the forms of a bond. high property taxes, independent school dist personnnel ask the county to raise the property taxes for their zone, it goes to vote every year and it gets passed. things like road construction, proper drainage in local areas, sidewalks, snow plows, are very scarce/poorly maintained. but most of those school dist have a huge stadium with turf! Football is the life of the communitiy, all over the state. 6 man, 8 man, 11 man. an entire community shuts down and goes to the home game. have seen some real interesting things go on during the times ive been out in west texas. mojo football, just like the movie, is 100% real. coaches getting fired for losing in the state title game. be careful what you wish for, however. you get local school board involved in paying coaches more money, dont you dare go 6-4 and not make playoffs. why did we pay you an extra 20k? not to lose to that bad school.

Now that _hit is funny.... They are totally blind and ignorant. We go from a system that if you were somewhat good at math and could see schedules you could figure out if you were going to make the playoffs to metro suburban and it wasnt bad, look at the finals scores. already stated here. to hiding the facts that teams got in that shouldnt have, and teams didnt get in that should have. and move finals to the southern part of the state. seriously, drive from penscola to miami. that will never get right, from the awesome venue in daytona with no parking and 1 lane road to this. finals should be in raymond james/the new usf stadium, back to citrus bowl or the scocer field, ucf stadium, somehwere in central fla that can house 10k fans, easily accessable and parking isnt a problem. blind is an understatement.

seems pretty cut and dry after reading the article....i cant for the life of me see what the hold up would be. mnw, send fhsaa the timestamp records of when said student enrolled. and he is on the playoff roster. if its what it states, they forfiet all the games and are eliminated. why wait 3 weeks,

sad part is, has anyone in south florida EVER ran it according to the bylaws and rules!

check out south sumter, gainesville east side, dunellon. 3a-5 district. sumter beat east side 21-7 on last thursday, all 3 finish 2-1. sumter technically was 2nd as it lost to dunellon, east side is 3rd. dunellon is 1st. max preps has sumter at 9 and east side at 11 in 3a. fhsaa doesnt see it that way and east side, likely to their 7-3 record vs 4-6 sumter(with a higher strength of schedule), east side is in, south sumter is out, dunellon is in too. so 3 or 4 of these very similar situations in the brackets, all at different classes. its clearly a computer glitch.... fhsaa got some splanin to do to some schools.... 1 time is an oversight, a mistake, 2 times, defintely should look into it, 3 times and i bet some beach front property I own there are more, is a problem.

astronaut got an explaination? from who!? surely the fhsaa did not give them the time of day,
-
oldage kicked in, the one that was truly mindblowing. 10-0 mitchell, beat 8-2 wiregrass ranch for district title. mitchell is the 4 seed, wiregrass ranch is the 3 seed. you cannot tell me that an actual human being looked at that and decided that 8-2 and a loss to another team in the bracket, is better than 10-0.... fhsaa messed up and its just hurting kids and coaches....
-
I think I mentioned this above, or on another strand, astronaut is one, they beat villages charter thursday night for distrcit runner up spot. better record, strength of schedule higher, had a higher ranking on the previous max preps and then the new rankings, they are lower? which makes no sense to anyone. saint cloud was another one I saw on twitter that was the exact same thing, like to the letter. i think pace was another one, im sure if there was some digging done, you would find alot of these same things. its clearly a computer flaw in the rankings, villages jumped 2 spots above astronaut and pushe them out. same with saint cloud. look on the astronaut twitter page, more details there, lol.
-
I seem to think that 2 yrs ago in the metro and suburban system, the rankings and such were much more transparent. they told you about-if you lose to a higher ranked team you got this many points, if you win vs lower ranked team you got this many points. and then sos, wins, opponents opponents win loss, all were .something a factor. this system now, tells anyone and nobody, zero. just because max preps, fhsaa say so, thats why. another flawed system the money hungry clowns put in place....
-
ok, so call them conspiracy facts, teams mentioned above, mitchell has head to head win over wiregrass and is 10-0, but is seeded lower. did you see the astronaut debacle? they beat villages charter on thursday in a district game, to have a better record than them in the district, along with better strength of schdule, ranking, etc. fast forward 24 hrs and they magically have a worse ranking and villages charter at 0-2 in district play is the 7 seed and astro is totally out..... I also saw the team down the road from you, saint cloud is in a similar situation with tohopekliga. head to head win, better sos, etc. but is out. thats not theory, those are facts. and the fhsaa dumb dumbs wont answer any questions as it makes them look bad. some computer ranking told a false story for these 3 teams mentioned(I promise there are more than just 3) . unfortunate for kids and coaches who deserve the chance to be there.
-
several of those out there, better district record and higher strength of schedule matters very little from what it appears looks like a rush job by the clowns to get this done fast, nobody checked their work, said F it, its good. were a week behind on playoff dollars. LFG....
-
im sure there is ALOT of others out there that get turned down or turned away, but 30 kids transfer in, over say 1 or 2. and reading that they had 3 kids that played spring ball that were not enrolled. thats a no no, no different than a kid enrolled at school down the road coming and watching practices before enrolling, definetly a violation, kids on sideline at spring games and not enrolled is a violation also. small potatoes vs 30 transfers and the laundry list of things the coaches turned a blind eye on. good for fhsaa, now get the rest of the liars and cheats

did you see fhsa is doing a bracket reveal tomorrow, 6pm on youtube
