Heard your Bulls had 5 TD’s called back last night. They can’t be that undisciplined.

I’m ok. I watched the game at home last night because I am still fighting a bad cold (thankfully not COVID,) and didn’t want to infect anyone. I said on here that Venice has never beaten Armwood before and that was on full display last night. They scored on the first drive of the night and we could not stop their rushing attack at all. We didn’t help ourselves with false starts, holdings, and illegal motions, but the amount of penalties being called on Venice last night just made me feel uneasy. There was at least one occasion where Armwood had 12 players on the field but got away with it. Also saw more than a few times where Ryan Daly was being held but it was never called. It was clear who the better team was but my god the penalties were out of control , and seemingly very one-sided. Absolutely pitiful. At any rate, good game to Armwood. Venice has a lot to address and needs to regroup quickly for Cocoa.

Coconut Creek is a threat to nobody. They’re far closer talent-wise to a Stranahan or Boyd Anderson, than a Dillard or Cardinal Gibbons. Dillard with a good week of practice and fewer self-inflicted wounds could knock off STA on a good night. That’s the gap between these teams.

Whenever I see a new post from you I can be certain that it will contain no substance whatsoever. If they taught you how to read and spell underneath whatever rock you live under, you would know that his name is spelled, “Peacock,” not “Peecock.” In reading your posts it’s clear that you have something against Venice. I don’t particularly know why but I’m sure it’s beyond my grasp, because after all, “you’re a rocket scientist compared to me.” Which is funny considering that you can’t even speak English correctly while I speak both English and Spanish fluently and will soon be learning French. But sure, you’re a lot smarter than me! You get on this board and shovel lies and general animosity onto other teams and call them trash. Hell, I’ll even meet you halfway: Lakeland is a great team and Coach Castle is a great coach, arguably the best of all time at the high school level. It’s just a shame that their organization has to be associated with someone like you who makes the rest of their fanbase look look like clueless hacks who know nothing about the football world outside of Polk County.

I don’t like Homestead over Norland. Also, I think Blanche Ely is better than Coconut Creek.

Lake Wales will not be the team they were last season. Treasure Coast did what they needed to win but Kissimmee Osceola is on a different level. I like the Kowboys by 10 or more here.

This was just a practice game. Bishop Gorman has deceptive film to watch now of Central, which is good news for the Rockets. The real fireworks are coming out against Gorman!

Where Vero Beach may be at a disadvantage is on the offensive line, Miami NW’s pass rush may be the biggest strength of their team so Vero needs to find a way to give Aronson 3-5 seconds to survey the field. This is asking a lot, so they will probably need to throw screens and throw quick passes to move the ball.

Vero Beach is a different team in the regular season than they are in the playoffs. Traditionally, Vero has played very well in the regular season only to bow out when the playoffs come calling. They are fielding one of their most talented teams ever in 2023. Miami NW will have their hands full but I think they bounce back in a very tight game. We will see.

And you would have lost the game if not for a split-second touchdown at the end of the half that should have been a false start on Lakeland's left tackle. That game was NOT a blowout.

What does that have to with last night? You scared that Venice is coming back with their best team ever to steal the crown from Lakeland?

We still have some issues with timing to get down. There were a few bad snaps last night that could have led to disasters. The defensive ends overcommitted several times, getting too far into the backfield which allowed Gainey and Rogers to run into the secondary. In spite of a blowout loss, one thing TBT did get right was how they handled Ryan Daly. I don't know if there was one play where he wasn't double-teamed. This gave Elijah Jones and Asharri Charles some opportunities to get into the backfield, but they need to learn to control their depth and meet at the QB to have success. This will come with practice. Overall, though, I was very pleased with what I saw last night and am excited to see Venice in action again next week to (hopefully) get their first win ever against Armwood!

Central has a lot more to prove against Gorman than they do Vanguard. Bet they’ve been preparing for them since last week at least. Not surprised that Central let Vanguard into this game. They will take out the fireworks in about 2 weeks…

Kissimmee Osceola 24 Treasure Coast 10. Anyone who think Osceola is about to have a “down” year is in for quite a rude awakening.
