  1. What is the proof that Jesuit was better than Gaither last year, they both played Clearwater and Plant City. One team seem to beat both teams while the other lost.
  2. Lol, Gaither is not a ghetto school @nolebull813 is just jealous Gaither is doing well. He needs to read and re-read the definition of ghetto.
  3. I actually went back to re-read your post, not once did you mention "go get them next year." We all know what you were trying to imply. You also stated that "plant routinely gets this far every year in the playoffs," I read it as in Plant always makes it to the state semi's yearly which was not true, you proved it in your post. Everyone knows Plant routinely gets to the 2nd round and beyond; and will more than likely be a power house again next year due Plant's recruiting and of course kids living situations. You know that it is easier for Plant to get transfers in, those apartment buildings are starting to fill up again, lol. My only point in all this was how you worded your the title of the post. Sometimes people get bitter when other schools start making noise. In the end no one will give a crap how far you went unless you win rings, and in Tampa, Plant has that over everyone else.
  4. Noone is being arrogant but these Tampa teams had a tremendous YEAR but when you try to blast Tampa teams for not making the big game, someone has to step in and remind Plant is not the only team in Tampa. Plant should be proud that Tampa teams want to play them to measure themselves. You state that Plant gets this far in the playoffs every year and have been doing it "routinely", please remind us since 2011 what has Plant accomplished? Everyone in Tampa knows why Plant is successful, those apartment leases ended for lots of kids in Nov time to renew them. I wonder what the registration office is looking like or will be looking like in the next month or so. Believe me I felt bad for Plant for not winning more games, it would of helped Gaither, they would have had home field advantage, it would of made a difference.
  5. You are correct to a point. The travel had nothing to do with the loss. But having home field advantage did help Escambia. That running back became hard to tackle with 8 minutes left in the 4th, with the score 27-21. At one point the running back's jersey was torn and was forced to leave the game but Escambia called a time out so he could change his jersey. All they did was strip another Escambia player of his jersey, Felt bad for the kid. Escambia will do well, I hope they win states.
  6. You make some good points, but I want to mention that you keep referring to North Florida as if they don't have any talent and that there path was/is easier. If Dillard had the path that North Florida had/has then that means Dillard would be considered North Florida, and you would have North Florida talent and Coaches...so not sure if you can make a point about North Florida. Second usually when a team loses that means that winning team forces the losing team to play their game not their own game. In the end no matter the season record, as you stated before in previous post, that every team starts 0-0 in the playoffs and anything can happen. Unfortunately for your team you will not know this season if you can beat a North Florida team.
  7. Gaither did extremely well tonight. On to the 6A final 4.
  8. So as everyone knows the Gaither vs Clearwater game was close (27-20). Every week the Tampa Times reports on local games. The title of the article for this week's game "Gaither pulls off the resounding late rally vs Clearwater," as I read the article guess which head coach and their team was mentioned... Plant. I guess Plant was still in the playoffs until this past Friday. What do you all think about this, No Issue or Disrespectful? Part of the article written by the times: "The Tornadoes pulled out all the stops to prepare for Friday night. Plant coach Robert Weiner, who is good friends with Clearwater coach Don Mesick, stopped by Thursday's practice to speak to the team. Weiner also was in the stands on Clearwater's side with a few of his players." Thoughts?
  9. Tough defensive battle yesterday night. Gaither held Armwood to 3 first downs in the 1st half. The only first half score came off a strip ball by the Armwood defense (late in the 2nd quarter). Score at half time was 7 - 0 Armwood. Armwood next score came late 3rd quarter. The Gaither defense stood strong, but in the end Armwood came out on top. It was a great Test for Gaither, Gaither boys demeanor was good, they are ready for the playoffs. First time in school history, Gaither ended the season 9-1, not bad.
  10. Gaither was not scared at all, you should look for those tweets, they are pretty funny. Gaither did not request Steinbrenner's due to their previous years record 2017 -- 2 & 7; 2018 -- 6 & 5. As I stated before Gaither requested a tougher schedule and seemed out previous playoff teams. Who would have thought Steinbrenner would be having a great year and Plant have a horrible year. The county has some say, but in the end its the Coaches who make these games happen. Maybe next year you will see that game happen. Also Chamberlain is Gaither's rivalry not Steinbrenner.
  11. Gaither is located in Tampa, moved down from 7A to 6A do to enrollment. You state that Gaither’s is playing sorry teams this year, which is your opinion, and I totally respect that, but Gaither seems to have requested a harder schedule this year and so far they are doing ok. They have 2 teams left to play that will put them to the test which are Tampa Bay Tech and Armwood. Gaither is ahead of your team due to playing a harder schedule according to the RPI. But as lots of folks have said, it is early lots of football left. This is Gaither’s Schedule (in order) this year just in case you wanted to know: Jefferson(playoff team last year); Plant(playoff team last year); Plant City(playoff team last year); East Bay(last year 7-4, in 7A); Fivay(district game); Chamberlain(8-2 last year); Land O Lakes(district game); Tamp Bay Tech(playoff team last year);Freedom(district game); Armwood (playoff team last year)
