As I type this in total shock, the entire Dillard & broward county took a HUGE unexpected lost today in losing coach Pinder.
coach Pinder was going into her 45th year at Dillard, coach Pinder led our girls to 10 state titles and was named the winningest coach in Florida history.
ms Pinder wasn’t just a coach she was family , and after shockingly and unexpectedly sing coach Frazier in 2019 this come as another Huge Blow To Panther Nation.
this can’t be real man it just can’t be. We Love You Ms Pinder #PantherNation #AhoooAhhhDillardHigh
Coach Pinders wins & loses are spectacular but the young ladies she reached from Franklin to Washington Park, from Sistrunk to 27th etc, is what she called her “Hall of Fame”! A great woman that will b missed.

With Jesuit moving up to 6A I think Chamberlain is the early favorite to win region 3.
Chiefs gotta a good team this year?

I have to agree..... You have some many former state champions in one region. It will be a war whoever come that region in the Semifinals for us (Glades Central). If we make it of course. We play three of those teams this year (Booker T, Carol City, and Miami Pace)
How’s the Raiders gonna b this year? Been awhile.

Region 4: BTW, Cardinal Gibbons, Guliver Prep, Carol City, Miami Pace, Univ school(?), Calvary Chapel.

Let's say you 9 games set but are having trouble finding an opponent for a certain week. Your choices are some easy opponents or none at all. I'm being told by someone that it's better not to play because if you schedule the easy opponent it would lower your RPI. Personally I'd rather play than not play as I feel having a second open week hurts team rhythm; 2020 cancellations is a good example.
I think if your team is a borderline playoff team, it’s always better to play a game. If you’re a top team, where home field is essential, I might skip it.......

STA full schedule is
Plantation
Deland
Pace
Western
Cooper City
south plantation
nova
Cardinal gibbons
Dillard
Western
BTW, that’s a pretty weak schedule! Gibbons & Dillard the toughest games. No out of state team. No 305. No Deerfield.

I can’t wait for the match up when we play them in October we ready
STA takes advantage of other teams mistakes like no other team in the state. They were outplayed a few times last year. Their offense was average. Defensive TD’s along with special teams scores, doomed their opponents, other than Gibbons.
If the Panthers can keep their PENALTIES down, they’ll b in the game. Kelly #9, is the best DE in the state. -

Yeah I was following that game last year
AHP was lucky to win that one and Jesuit likely won state if they could have made it out of that game, Jesuit has been so close that they kinda remind me of mid 2010s Dr Phillips in how close they have been to winning a title who did eventually manage to do it
Sometimes persistence pays off
It did with DP. Was their QB a senior. He was good.

Jesuit has been a good program consistently.

Jesuit has been solid. AH fortunate to get by them last year. Great game.

It would be difficult for any of the three to win the state title. But in terms of competitiveness, I have to agree with you: At least on paper, it's a very competitive district.
Of the three, Jones probably has the best shot at getting to at least the state semis. But I would not be shocked if one of Mainland or Lake Minneola beat them.
Agree!
-
I can’t find but 1 district with 3 teams that could win the district & make a run in the playoffs.
Reg 2 District 6: Jones, L Minneola, Mainland.
Anybody?- KeemD321 and DarterBlue2

They lost long time coach, Jack Daniels to Cardinal Newman. They always have good talent.

Venice has beaten them once since 2016, even though Venice may be a top 10 team at this stage, I think it's the other way around as now Venice has a much more manageable path to a Championship
That’s true, & was the only game on their home field vs STA. We’ll find out quick as Venice goes to Traz to meet the Bulls, & the following week the Bulls travel to Ft Laud to meet the Raiders.

So pretty much you think St. Thomas is a safe bet for 7A title
STA got a big break with Venice moving up to 8a.

The toughest district is whatever district that Aquinas is. Dillard is in there too. I only see Lakeland in 7A-5 & Manatee in 7A-11.
Bartow had a great season, along with LG, last season.
Palmetto has been good the last couple years. Bloomingdale the same.
Both Lakeland & Manatee should be pushed. -
* 3 teams that can win district & go deep in playoffs.
Reg 2 district 5(Bartow,LG,Lakeland)
Reg 3 district 11( Bloomingdale, Manatee,Palmetto)
whatcha got?

Reg 3 District 9

Was about to post 3a today. Hands down Region 3 the most competitive.
2a I agree with your choice also. Lotta state championships in that region, although I’d b surprised if any team comes close to TC.
LIVING in So Flo, I love keeping up with 1a but Pahokee is about our only representative, & they’re usually pretty good.
