  1. I would love to do district by district previews, but I don't have the manpower to accomplish that feat. However, I am intrigued to see how this magazine went this year. I hope I can buy a copy since where I am at, it is not available.
  2. Clearwater Academy dropped Venice to go play Elder, Ohio the same date.
  3. It sounds like Clearwater Academy dropped Venice, not Venice dropping them. AA Christian (which is what most are going to call them) has been around a few years as a school, but this will be their first year as a program. They are going to play the schedule that Grant Technical & Education Center was going to play.
  4. 2019 Football Schedules... I have gone through all eight classifications and verified schedules (although there could be a few more changes). I am still working on SSAC and Independents. You can find all the schedules, which are broken down by district and region, at the link below. One note on the schedules: They will update in real-time through the power of ScoreStream. All schedules are built-in with their new schedule widget feature and if you are viewing on a desktop you will see which games are denoted as district or non-district. SCHEDULE LINK: https://floridahsfootball.com/schedules/ BUSINESS NOTE: If you have a small business, for just $50 for the entire season you can promote your business on a team's schedule. Again that is $50 per team for the entire season on their team schedule. Send me a message or email if you are interested.
  5. And that blew up two of my interviews at media day... I found out Saturday morning that both were leaving for Florida Memorial. Florida Memorial can trace its roots back to St. Augustine when the campus was located near what is now present-day West King Street and Holmes Blvd.
  6. Games will be at Bolles School. Not only is there a problem with the grass at the pro stadiums, but security costs also make it almost cost-prohibitive to have a high school game now at a stadium unless you have millions lying around with nothing to do. As for Tampa... until they get away from the centralized funding madness... this kind of event will never happen there.
  7. I pulled it because I was not approached by Columbiafan until after he had posted on the other board and then told me there was an issue which made this a bigger mess than need be. Really some of it at the end is on Columbia and I have talked to him about it. It’s a moot point now.
  8. Hey everyone! I know I haven't been on here much lately with a lot going on behind the scenes and some exciting announcements to come soon! Tonight around Midnight Eastern, the server is going to be going offline for about 30 minutes to an hour for a server upgrade. At the end of last season during the playoffs, the website started to experience some slowdowns with the amount of traffic coming on to the website. With the season approaching, I knew I needed to do something to increase the memory load on the server and thus tonight, I am having the memory doubled on the server to handle the anticipated load of traffic that is going to potentially come with some of the announcements that are about to come soon. I will be back with you all with more things soon!
  9. And now I see the post about the player cards that are being sold that have Chaminade-Madonna on the schedule... so I am trying to figure out what schedule is correct and is this GCTE even playing Vero Beach as this school is showing... I think @LAZ is right... something doesn't seem right. Why would Vero Beach even entertain playing a first-year school given the fact this would hurt their RPI for the playoffs? It doesn't make sense.
  10. @LAZ This is an 11-man program... I think Vero was supposed to schedule Chaminade-Madonna on October 18th, but has since been replaced with Grant Career & Technical (GCTE). I am looking at Chaminade's schedule right now on their school site and they have Western on their schedule for that date. So there is that.
  11. I recently in the last month launched a new podcast, the FloridaHSFootball.com Podcast. I will start to post the Episodes here as we go along. Please feel free to leave suggestions of people who I should bring on to the podcast and topics to discuss. Open to ideas beyond my own! 12. Love those details... man Lion love this stuff... this has me giddy about what we have talked about behind the scenes.
  13. Woodham, I believe it is... I heard West Florida was eventually supposed to move into the old Woodham campus, but they use the stadium now for football, soccer, etc.
  14. Thanks to everyone who has shown support here. First, no legal action has been threatened, but I have to nip it in the bud before it does become an issue and in this day and age, someone can screenshot things in a matter of seconds after something is posted. Just the world in which we live in these days. Second, I am open to Free Speech, but there comes a limit with things. The thing involving STA is a gray subject area dealing with the law and how one might interpret it. As Proseteye mentioned, I would be in a potential lose-lose no matter which way something of that nature was to swing if someone came calling for my head. Right now, what I make doing this is barely keeping things above water. Things are slowly improving, but this has been something I don't want to walk away from having this message board or more importantly the overall FloridaHSFootball.com website where a majority of the content is posted at because I have to dissolve all the assets (which truthfully is not very much) I do have to pay for a lawyer. Something I would have no interest in doing. Nevermind I would likely lose all the gains I have made on my health and wellness in the last year (yeah I have lost over 65 pounds and dropped some pants sizes in the process... will have to change out my profile photo soon) if something like this were to happen. So just wanted to share these thoughts at the moment.
  15. Unfortunately, in this sue happy world, it is better to err on the side of caution, but still, in a case of something of this magnitude, anyone on here needs to approach me and talk to me about it before just going ahead with it.
  16. Recently a controversial topic regarding a sensitive topic involving a text message was posted and I didn’t catch on to it until just a little bit ago. Apparently, you all are seeking to get me in to potential legal trouble by going this direction and something I will not tolerate. If I had a bucket full of money I might let it hang around, but the entire FloridaHSFootball.com operation is pretty much a one-man show and this my livelihood. This is not a hobby and I don’t make no where I should be making for a decent living. I really could be (and should be) charging for these forums to help cover the costs each month to keep the website and forums running (this stuff is not cheap folks!!!!!) but I don’t because I want this to be an open community for the best sport in the best state in the nation! Point blank, I pour my heart and soul into this not because I have to but because I want to because I believe in this! The lights on this website and forums can easily go dark tomorrow if it had to but that is a direction I do not seek nor do I ever want to seek out or have to take. I know this may come off brash, but I have no choice but to put my foot down on something this sensitive. Call me a party pooper all you want but I can’t afford to have something be filed against me because you all decided to post something controversial instead messaging me on here or sending me an email to clear it first. Read the rules of the forum for a quick refresher on things. Any questions, message me! If you want to help out the cause with things around here to make sure things keep going and we continue to use this great open community, consider a donation via PayPal. If you want to donate but can’t do PayPal, message me and I will gladly send you the mailing address and company info to make a check out to. PayPal link: https://www.paypal.me/floridahsfootball
  17. Yeah, it is pretty impressive... expecting quite a bit tonight with the second and third rounds.
  18. 30th overall pick in the draft to the Giants:
  19. With the No. 25 overall pick, the Ravens have this guy from South Florida:
  20. With the 16th overall pick to the Panthers:
  21. With the 10th overall pick to the Steelers:
  22. With the No. 2 overall pick to the 49ers:
  23. Follow the 2019 Florida NFL Draft Tracker here: https://floridahsfootball.com/2019/04/25/2019-florida-nfl-draft-tracker/
  24. I was looking to see if you had forgotten about Northwestern from last year, but you added it here. The biggest note about Miami Northwestern is they are the first-ever 3rd place team from a district to win a state championship. So take what has been done the last two years with the combination of the old wildcard system from 1999-2002, no one else was able to go from 3rd place to holding up the state championship trophy until Northwestern did it. You likely won't see this happen again for a very long time.
