Let me know if any of you all want to do a pick'ems this year like we have done the last several years. Amount of games could be between 10 and 20 games.

I have spent some many hours this week getting these previews together and I am stoked that I will be posting them here in the coming hours today. Also the rankings are coming and I am wrapping them up in the wee hours of the morning. I will post the links as they go live but here is an idea on the schedule and what to expect

Seeking out a board moderator and a couple of changes...

Want to welcome @peezy28 to the moderator team! I have known him for a quite a while and he will be a great addition to moderator team here on the forums! -

Not short of confidence. What I had to do was understand the misunderstandings that happened along the way. There is more that happens behind the scenes than most realize. I am actually about to add one more board moderator and I think this person I am adding to the team is going to do very well and I have very much respect for him. I just want us to all have fun, and most importantly, be ready for some football! -

Look folks... I made the move to get things back on track. It was my decision. There were some misunderstandings over the past 6 to 9 months that I had to correct. I am just going to leave it at that and go forward. -

Know why on what? -
My copy arrived in the mail today. Nice looking magazine and the format is what I felt the magazine should have been years ago, especially the size of the magazine. Never thought being an oversized magazine was a good idea given the costs being all color. Just my two cents.

I am not going to say the game could be ugly. I think Leesburg knows deep down that this game will be a tough one. The biggest reason why this game is even on the schedule is Coach Trivers at Gonzaga was the HC at Leesburg for a few years before he got the Gonzaga job. So this more like an experience trip for Leesburg than just a game. More to it than not.

These are questions I am still trying to get answered with getting rankings and a class by class preview done.

Seeking out a board moderator and a couple of changes...

You are not the sheriff though LOL! -
Alright... first I am seeking one more member to be a board moderator. Please message me if you are interested. Things are simple with this in helping keep topics flowing about the topic they are supposed to be on and making sure members are staying within the boundaries of the rules. With that said... there a couple of members who I am adding to the board moderation team. First myself @Joshua Wilson & @SportsNut25 are still here to help with any moderation tasks. Secondly, I have restored @ColumbiaHighFan2017class as a board moderator. There has been an agreement to turn the page from past issues and we are going to go forward going into the season. Lastly, I have made @OldSchoolLion a moderator. He has been providing a wealth of knowledge and I think he can help keep the conversations flowing as needed. The issue of the past is just that... in the past... no need to keep rehashing it. I want everyone to have fun here and it is that time to go forward. Also, one more side note... the post about monetary donations had to come down due to a contract I am about to sign... can't say what... but it had to come down. My inbox is open to any questions you all have. - Josh

Venice playing Akelynns Angels Christian Academy
Joshua Wilson replied to VeniceIndianFan's topic in The Huddle
Interesting... and word on the street now is the AA Academy games with Columbia and Venice have been called off. -
I placed an order online and paid for it... hopefully, it won't take long for them to send it.

Media day coverage & school by school 2019 outlook
Joshua Wilson replied to DILLARDBOYZ954's topic in The Huddle
I was at the Dolphins Media Day myself...however my focus had to be on top teams. I got a lot of interviews will be working on and editing here soon. -
Some content to get us going with the season fast approaching... first, some statewide storylines to watch

We have a new message board for coaches, fans, parents and whoever else wants to discuss girls flag football on a statewide basis. We have had many requests to start a section for Flag Football and we are doing so here with some of the other changes and updates made to our forums. Please feel free to use this as a way to engage or talk about things going on in the world of girls flag football.

No problem! -
I would love to do district by district previews, but I don't have the manpower to accomplish that feat. However, I am intrigued to see how this magazine went this year. I hope I can buy a copy since where I am at, it is not available.

Clearwater Academy dropped Venice to go play Elder, Ohio the same date. -

It sounds like Clearwater Academy dropped Venice, not Venice dropping them. AA Christian (which is what most are going to call them) has been around a few years as a school, but this will be their first year as a program. They are going to play the schedule that Grant Technical & Education Center was going to play. -
2019 Football Schedules... I have gone through all eight classifications and verified schedules (although there could be a few more changes). I am still working on SSAC and Independents. You can find all the schedules, which are broken down by district and region, at the link below. One note on the schedules: They will update in real-time through the power of ScoreStream. All schedules are built-in with their new schedule widget feature and if you are viewing on a desktop you will see which games are denoted as district or non-district. SCHEDULE LINK: https://floridahsfootball.com/schedules/ BUSINESS NOTE: If you have a small business, for just $50 for the entire season you can promote your business on a team's schedule. Again that is $50 per team for the entire season on their team schedule. Send me a message or email if you are interested.

BTW, Carol City coaching changes - new HC job for Ice Harris
Joshua Wilson replied to SportsNut25's topic in The Huddle
And that blew up two of my interviews at media day... I found out Saturday morning that both were leaving for Florida Memorial. Florida Memorial can trace its roots back to St. Augustine when the campus was located near what is now present-day West King Street and Holmes Blvd. -
Games will be at Bolles School. Not only is there a problem with the grass at the pro stadiums, but security costs also make it almost cost-prohibitive to have a high school game now at a stadium unless you have millions lying around with nothing to do. As for Tampa... until they get away from the centralized funding madness... this kind of event will never happen there.
