This falls on the FHSAA. They punted the responsibility to a second rate website that is famous for errors and inaccuracies. The FHSAA should be held liable. They literally make every move that is not in the best interest of the coaches, players and fans of the sports played in the state. It’s embarrassing. I posted this link in another thread. Can someone tell me why this can’t be the minimum mandatory? https://www.ghsa.net/2019-2020-ghsa-football-schedule

A couple kick off classic’s involving out-of-state teams. Cedar Grove GA at Miami Central TC Williams VA at Spruce Creek
-
The only dark horse from South Florida would be the one who loaded up big time with transfers. If not then it’s the same teams. Sorry Dillard Fan. If Dillard can’t get some studs to come then 2nd round exits are the best case scenario
-
It’s insane. This is total incompetence from the FHSAA. Look at this link. This is how you govern. https://www.ghsa.net/2019-2020-ghsa-football-schedule

Man this is Florida!!!! the rest of the country’s schedules are out, in Florida you’ll have to show up to the stadium on Friday and hope your team has a home game. You won’t find out who anyone is playing unless you show up in mid August to find out

Hillsborough is the 2nd oldest team in the entire state still playing football. Pensacola first played in 1905. That’s the first high school football ever to be played by a Florida team
-
Yes to all 3
-
Brandon didn’t start until the 40’s In order it goes Hillsborough Plant City Jesuit Plant Jefferson Brandon
-
Wimauma yes. Think further back for Tech

Ok. More trivia. 1. Hillsborough is the oldest team in the county and started playing football in 1907. What County team is the second oldest? Bonus: what year did they start? 2. A small private school in Tampa fielded a team only from 1945-1953. They played local JV teams, as well as small privates from the area. What is the name of the team? 3. Another school that is now defunct played from the 60's-2000's. Who are they? 4. Tampa Bay Tech and East Bay were called had different names a while ago. What were their former names? 5. Billy Turner and Earl Garcia are number 1 and 2 in all time wins in the county. Who is number 3?

One more. Championship game was played at Plant City High
-
Coincidentally, Jesuit was referred to as Tampa College High before 1940
-
That’s right!! They been playing since at least 1924 and were Jesuit’s main rival. I believe they stopped fielding a high school team in the 60’s

Check. From Brandon High

Enough with all this “horseplay”. You won’t spoil it. I posted them to be answered. Lol. Let C what you got McCoy!

I proudly called this years ago on the national board that once the new rule is implemented basically letting public schools play by the rules as the privates Lakeland will be back to beating STAs ass. You cant call yourself a true competitive organization and have teams not playing by the same rules. When STA would have double digit transfers from Miami to West Palm no one batted an eye. But when some local Polk County stud wanted to play for the best coach in state history everyone got up in arms. Now every team can acquire talent how they see fit, and everyone can play under the same rules.

I’m gonna post 5 questions at a time and see if anyone knows the answers to these fun facts 1. Tampa Catholic began playing varsity football in 1963. They are considered Jesuit’s arch rival. Since Jesuit has been around since the 20’s, who was Jesuit’s main rival before 1963? St. Leo High 2. What color did Armwood have in their uniforms when they were playing in the mid 80’s? It was an homage to the team they relieved due to overcrowding. Maroon 3. Name every team from Hillsborough that has won a FHSAA Football State Championship. Armwood, Plant, Jefferson, Jesuit, Blake and Pinecrest 4. When Tampa Catholic began playing football they were referred to something other than the Crusaders. What was the name? The Colts 5. Plant City merged with 3 other schools in 1972. What was the name of all 3 schools? Marshall, Pinecrest, Turkey Creek

Do you have the scores from those weeks? Weekly scores, or just the end of year record for the seasons?
-
Thanks Laz Do you have any complete histories of any teams from around the state?

Apparently there is a team in Daytona beach called breath of life Christian Academy. Or Simply BOLCA Prep. I don’t trust Max preps either. They are on West oaks Academy schedule as of now. Also another team name i never heard of before was Piney Grove Academy from Broward. I seen their name on some schedule. And a charter school in Polk County I can’t remember the name. Apparently they are playing Vero Beach
-
I will let you know about Pensacola Lighthouse. The first year they played, they beat some MS team 14-7. I don’t have the site pulled up in front of me.

Does Titusville have anything left? They went 0-10 and play some crappy New Jersey team this year. Does Titusville have at least one player who can play? -
