  1. I been to a Vanguard/North Marion game at Booster stadium and it was packed to capacity and an insane amount of people standing. They definitely need to find a bigger stadium for that game.
  2. Palatka/St Aug and Hardee/Desoto are the 2 oldest I believe. in Tampa its crazy because the oldest rivalry in town by far is Hillsborough/Plant. Both been playing since the 20's-30's. But this game doesn't have that electric/rivalry feel. Lately Plant vs Armwood is the biggest rivalry since the early 2000's simply because they been the best teams for over a decade. Jesuit vs Tampa Cathoic is a big one but Jesuit dominated for so long it's not really hyped up.
  3. Disclaimer. Jordan Christian has registered and is locked into the tourney. CAI told me and the director of the tourney they are "99 percent in" So when I get confirmation of anything I will post it
  4. Event is 4 days long with games played on November 8th and 10th. CAI said very clearly they want a rematch with Jordan Christian. So I assume they will push for that to be the first game, and then the 2 Florida schools can play the NC and VA team second
  5. Update is Clearwater Academy is going with Jordan Christian to play in Tennessee. The oos opponents are Hickory Hawks,NC and Central Virginia Homeschool. I'm assuming the 2 FL teams would play the oos teams first. The winners play so it can be CAI vs Jordan in a rematch from a game earlier in the year.
  6. Kelvin Benjamin for the Carolina Panthers was the last one that I remember Who turned 19 years and 9 months before the season ended and had to quit
  7. I thought you were allowed to play high school football in Florida all the way up until 19 years and nine months?
  8. The way you do classify them in the 4 classes is you take the 128 lowest enrolled schools and they are 1A And so on until all 512 teams are in district. The districts can fluctuate as well. No lower than 7 teams, no higher than 9 teams. It's so easy that it would never happen!!
  9. Almost sounds sarcastic (hope it is. Lol) The way to fix it is to cut the classes by at least 3. more realistically 4 Have 4 classes with 8 team districts and 4 teams from each district make it in. 4 classes with 8 teams per district in 16 districts 16x8= 128 teams per class 128 x 4 classes = 512 teams there are about 560-570 teams right now. So that leaves about 50-60 as independents and Indy conferences like the SSAC.
  10. There are plenty of good coaches around the state. Rick Darlington, Castle, Robert Weiner, Bill Gierke, Mark Guandolo, and Ice Harris just to name a few. Now there are teams that can stack all star rosters and be successful like Roger Harriot, Pat Surtain, Verlon Dorminey and David Penland. These guys just recruit the best players in the area and can just out class the rest of the teams in their division. A lot of times these teams go out and lose to less talented better coached teams from out of state. AHP almost lost against Colquitt who lost 5 games and got blown out many times. It's because the coaching for Colquitt kept them in it and AHP is run by chickens with their head cut off. This state doesn't invest enough money in head coaches and assistant coaches and it shows in top national matchups all the time
  11. It's a general statement. Are you a female? Real question. Because that definitely is a feminine response. Taking a general statement and literally applying it to 100% of everything. If someone says an area of town is bad with crime it doesn't mean every single resident of that area is a criminal.
  12. Bishop Moore doesn't seem to be what they were the last few years. I knew for 100 percent fact they would get killed by SJC because talent and coaching beats the hell out of just talent all the time. Jones has a soft ass scheudle outside of B Moore. That is a solid win and they did play Cocoa really close last year in the playoffs. They will lose to a team who can match their athleticism and has more competent coaching. That's the Achilles heel in Florida. Coaching
  13. CAI is not apart of the FHSAA and can basically do whatever they want.
  14. It hurt them not playing the game. It would have been a boring blowout but it would have been beneficial for Dunnellon because they would know exactly what their weaknesses are. Playing a bunch of local slappies doesn't help you at all.
  15. Heard Jordan Christian is heading to a 2 game tournament in Tennessee this year. They will be playing 2 games against oos teams. Will keep you updated. Also Clearwater Academy International might go to a tourney in Panama City, FL and they would play 2 oos games as well. And they might be playing another game against a team From Canada.
  16. Props to Dunnellon for scheduling Cocoa but by not playing that game it really hurts them. Playing great teams is really beneficial because it exposes all your weaknesses that you need to work on. Now they think they are better than they really are by playing local Slappies. You see it too many times. Teams racking up the wins against local competition get destroyed in the playoffs because there is no where to hide.
  17. Yeah Anneewakee was a boys reform school who got shut down because the leaders were accused of sexual abuse and misconduct. They had a team for about 4-5 years and played Georgia teams about 80 percent of the time. Losing almost every single one. There are tons of defunct schools in North Florida. I have the list at home but off the top of my head you have Brent Christian, Pensacola Tech, Pensacola Liberal arts, Pensacola Classical, Ernest Ward and Century (merged into Northview) and Woodham all from Escambia County Santa Rosa Christian, Panama City Chrsitian, Altha, Frink, Allentown. I will see what else I got when I get home
  18. Wakulla has had football around since the 30's when they started as a 6 man team but they were called Carwfordville High. There was another school in the county called Sopchoppy High In the 70's they merged together to make Wakulla County High. Crawfordville High is still recognized as Wakulla old high school. Same thing happened in Madison County. There was Madison High and Greenville High since the 20's and in the early 80's they merged into Madison County High.
  19. Thomasville crushed Chiles last night Also Georgia Christian beat Aucilla back on 8/18
  20. Can anyone explain why football so bad there? Is there a specific reason? Coaching? Talent?
  21. Leon, Lincoln, Chiles and Rickards all got destroyed last night by out of area teams. Not just beaten but humiliated. Plus Florida High lost to lowly Marianna. The best team Godby just scraped by with a miracle against average pine forest. As far as the big cities go Tallahassee is by far the worst. It's embarrassing
  22. Rankings are useless. What real purpose do they serve except to talk about something during the week? They don't have anything to do with anything when it comes to who makes the playoffs and who wins anything. The only rankings that matter are college football playoffs and BCS at large bids
  23. It's what's inside the toilet bowl the morning after chili night
  24. No they are not. I took a scroll through all the classes and would have Champagnat as the 67th best team. They would be number 1 in 2A but 67th in Florida. That's how bad 2A is. Maxpreps has Champagnat 52nd in Florida so I'm not the only one who thinks 2A is hot garbage
  25. No I think NFC and UC would get crushed by Chaminade and Oxbridge. No team in 2A would have a shot in hell at winning 3A
