I didn't at first but it's actually a very easy app to use and for what Josh wants to do, discord would actually be more user friendly than the current forums are 

What is Discord? Discord is a free online community platform. Think of it like a modern message board with different discussion rooms. Instead of forum categories and threads, Discord uses “channels.” Each channel has a topic, such as general discussion, scores, announcements, recruiting, or support. You can use Discord from a computer, phone, tablet, or web browser. You do not have to use voice chat. For our purposes, it would mostly be text discussion, similar to what we already do here. The reason this is being considered is that our current forum software is reaching the end of its supported life, and the replacement options are much more expensive. Discord may give us a more affordable way to keep the community active.
