Class 3A playoff watch for Week 8

It is hard to believe it is already Week 8 already and that means the district races will start to sort themselves out of who is a contender and who is really a pretender. However, for some teams, they can punch their tickets to the playoffs this week. Take a look to see who can do what in Class 3A this week with the Week 8 playoff scenarios.

Skinny
Right now anything pretty much goes in this district, but at least this year if Pensacola Catholic does make the playoffs, it will not be as a 2-win team either as all the teams are looking stronger this year compared to last year.

The district got reduced down from four teams to three teams a few weeks ago so the dynamics of this district change now. However, our top two teams we have projected are still pretty much in the hunt at this point.

Things have gotten interesting in this district as First Academy and Father Lopez lead the way here. As this point, anything could possibly happen including Trinity Catholic potentially missing the playoffs altogether.

Skinny
Lakeland Christian has done exceedingly well this season given the fact we didn’t even project them to make the playoffs. However, it looks like now they could actually end up winning the district and making a deep playoff run, but Tampa Catholic and Berkeley Prep still have a big say in this.

Oxbridge Academy has flexed a strong muscle this season erasing any thoughts of the issues that happened over the summer. However, things are a little crazy here as Delray American Heritage has declined this season and its playoff hopes in jeopardy. Oxbridge is guaranteed to at least have a spot in a potential district tiebreaker.
