Starting on Monday, June 7, 2021, FloridaHSFootball.com will be introducing a new PREMIUM Subscription Service called FloridaHSFootball.com+ (pronounced as FloridaHSFootball.com Plus). FloridaHSFootball.com+ will be a content-driven service with articles written by the FloridaHSFootball.com team along with freelancers from around the state.
After many years of being a fully free website, the time has come to transition FloridaHSFootball.com to more of a hybrid approach of premium content, while still offering a lot for FREE. The biggest factor behind this is our growth over the last several years and we want to be able to expand upon that. Quality journalism has a cost to it and to bring it to you, we feel asking you all to pay for what it cost typically for a daily coffee just once a month ($4.99 per month) will help us achieve that goal.
With that, I have put together an FAQ to help you all understand what the new FloridaHSFootball.com+ Subscription Service will be about.
WHAT IS FLORIDAHSFOOTBALL.COM+?
FloridaHSFootball.com+ is a PREMIUM subscription service offering content that can not be found anywhere else. This will include multiple articles a month with features, general stories, and more. The service could also expand to offer options and rewards for subscribers in the future and when we do add something to the service, we will notify our subscribers of such changes.
WHAT WILL IT COST TO SUBSCRIBE TO FLORIDAHSFOOTBALL.COM+?
The price of just one of your morning coffees is roughly how much it will cost to subscribe to FloridaHSFootball.com+ each month. Better yet, you can get FloridaHSFootball.com+ cheaper by subscribing for a full year!

HOW DO FLORIDAHSFOOTBALL.COM+ SUBSCRIPTIONS WORK?
Subscriptions are on a recurring basis, meaning they will automatically renew as long your account remains in good standing and all your credit card information is up to date. The first payment will take place on the day you purchase while subsequent renewals (either on a monthly or yearly basis) will take place in the same amount on the renewal date which you will be able to access from your account tab. All subscription purchases are final.
WHEN WILL THIS OFFICIALLY START?
The first articles that are part of FloridaHSFootball.com+ will be published starting Monday, June 7, 2021. However, you may sign up at any time before then by clicking on this link to sign up and get your account set up.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ALL ACCEPT?
We accept all major debit and credit cards through Stripe Checkout, our preferred third-party Gateway for processing payments. Also, Stripe Checkout, provides the ability for you to use cards you already have stored digitally on your phone with Apple Pay or Google Pay without ever having to open up your wallet. Also, we will accept Pay by Check or Money Order for FloridaHSFootball.com+ Yearly Subscriptions only. However, paying by check will delay the start of the subscription until the check is received and processed by FloridaHSFootball.com. All checks will be subject to a $35 return check fee on top of the amount owed if a check is returned. To send us a check, all checks MUST be made out to FLORIDA HS FOOTBALL, LLC and mailed to PO BOX 141601, GAINESVILLE, FL 32614-1601.
SO WHY NOW START CHARGING ON FLORIDAHSFOOTBALL.COM?
Well, quite honestly it is time to make this move. In the age of digital media, the work that I, Joshua Wilson, and all the freelancers and interns have done over the years has a cost to it. No content on FloridaHSFootball.com is ever free or ever has been free but has been free for you to view for a long time. There is a cost to going to games, there is a cost to cover ancillary events, a cost to go to media days each year, a cost to pay freelancers to cover top games, and yes even a cost (a quite significant one) to keep the lights on and the server running.
We also waited until the COVID-19 pandemic was starting to ease up to make this decision. As everyone was hit hard economically, it would not have been fair to start charging for some of our content when people were struggling, but as the rebound is now underway, we feel confident to start making this transition.
At the end of the day, this is a cost of doing business (this is not a hobby for us, this is real life work) and we must be able to cover our costs and be able to have a way to expand the content you all would like to see on FloridaHSFootball.com.
DIDN’T YOU TRY A SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE BEFORE?
About five or six years ago, we did try to offer a subscription service, but were not fully prepared for what is involved and quite frankly did not have the best software to manage this as efficiently. Now with the right software and tools in place, our confidence is extremely high for this to succeed and do well.
WHAT WILL REMAIN FREE?
Great question! A lot of content that you see now on FloridaHSFootball.com will remain free. That includes some news articles, most of our rankings (some will be premium content this coming school year), all scoreboards, the Florida High School Helmet Project, playoff information, and a whole a lot more. Also, any sponsored content including any content that would have been premium, would be made free. Plus, any content that is published in connection to an FHSAA State Finals Event (both Football and Flag Football) will continue to be free as well.
WILL YOU OFFER AN AD-FREE EXPERIENCE?
The answer is not currently and not for the foreseeable future. Advertising is one key component we will still need to offer to bring revenue in here at FloridaHSFootball.com. For us to bring an ad-free experience, we would have to consider charging triple the amount for the FloridaHSFootball.com+ Subscription Service and that is something we are not willing to do at all. So, at this time a combination of having the FloridaHSFootball.com+ Subscription Service as well as Advertising and Sponsorships will be our main revenue model going forward.
DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS FOR COACHES & ATHLETIC DIRECTORS?
Yes, we do offer discounts for coaches (both head coaches and assistant coaches) at a 25% OFF discount rate for both our FloridaHSFootball.com+ Monthly and FloridaHSFootball.com+ Yearly Subscriptions.
For us to facilitate giving a discount for coaches, the school’s head coach must email us a list of all their coaches and the email address that each coach will use to get the discount. In return, we will supply the head coach with a list of “COUPON” codes that will be designated for each coach to use as a One-Time Use. This is to prevent unauthorized discounts to users that are not eligible for the discount. PLEASE NOTE: If a school has a FACA Membership, only the head coach football coach, head flag football coach, and school athletic director shall be eligible for the FACA Discount as FACA only grants so many memberships in a school membership, therefore it would be almost impossible for an entire coaching staff to be under the school’s membership. However, if an assistant coach does maintain individual membership with FACA, then they would still be eligible to get the FACA Member Discount.

CAN COLLEGE COACHES GET A DISCOUNT?
Since there are many rules and regulations regarding college football through the NCAA and what types of services they can subscribe or not subscribe to, plus likely us needing required approvals, we will not offer any discounts to any college coaches at any level. College Coaches can subscribe on their own accord at the standard pricing rate of $4.99 per month for FloridaHSFootball.com+ Monthly or $44.99 per year for FloridaHSFootball.com+ Yearly, but we will not be held liable if a coach commits a violation by subscribing to the FloridaHSFootball.com+ Subscription Service that is otherwise not permitted to do so.
HOW DO WE LOG IN/LOG OUT?
There will be multiple options to Logging In and Logging Out with the FloridaHSFootball.com+ Subscription Service. If you are viewing us on a desktop, laptop, or large tablet, the Log In/Log Out button will be located on the main menu next to the “Home” icon. If you are view on a mobile device, just click the menu icon (looks like a hamburger) on the top left corner of any page and you will see the Log In/Log Out Option between the “FloridaHSFootball.com+” Icon and the “Home” Icon. You may also Log In at any one point on any FloridaHSFootball.com+ article to where you can read that article without having to do anything else.
ARE THERE LOGIN LIMITS?
Yes, you may only be logged in with your account on FloridaHSFootball.com on up to FIVE devices at once. Once you hit the maximum number of devices logged in, you will not be able to log in until another device is logged out. This is to prevent account sharing use which is considered theft and can cause a loss of revenue to us as a business. This limit can change at any time WITH or WITHOUT notice.
WHAT IF WE DONATED TO YOU IN THE LAST 6 TO 9 MONTHS?

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY?
All subscription sales are FINAL. You may cancel your subscription at any time and you may continue to access your account until the subscription expires. However, we will not provide any refunds at any time and we reserve the right to issue refunds or credits at our own discretion. If such an opportunity is provided, it does not mean we are obligated to provide a refund or credit in the future.
