What To Know: The visiting Tigers are coming off a 31-21 victory over Edgewater (Orlando) in Week 4 … The host Kowboys smashed rival St. Cloud in their 101all-time meeting 56-6 in Week 4 … Jones has only had three days of practices since they played Edgewater on Saturday … For the Tigers, this will be one of three games they will play in over the next eight days as their makeup for Week 1 with Winter Park is scheduled for next Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. … Jones is averaging 35.7 points per game but has given up 21 points in each of their last two games … Osceola averaged only 22 points per game in their first three games before surging for the season high of 56 points last week … Quarterback Dereon Coleman for Jones has thrown for 624 yards this season with seven touchdowns with just only one interception … Coleman’s favorite target is Florida Gator commit Vernell Brown III who currently has 295 yards receiving on 24 catches and four touchdowns … Running back Jaquail Smith will also be a dangerous threat to the Osceola defense as he has racked up 491 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 40 carries through the first three games … Linebacker Quimaine Myers leads the team in tackles with 34 while the defense has a collective six interceptions so far … For the Kowboys, the key thing about the offensive to keep an eye on will be the ground game led by UCF commit Taveon Swint who has 314 yards rushing on 28 carries and four touchdowns in the four games played so far … Osceola so far has rushed for a team 874 yards and eight touchdowns in four games … Defensive tackles Oneil Morel, and Amier Clarke lead the team in sacks with four each, while collectively the defense has racked up 13 sacks through four games.
Josh’s Pick: Despite the lack of sacks by the Jones defense, they make up for it in other ways and play a full four quarters. The same could be said about Osceola for the most part who was competitive in their game with Lake Mary for most of the game. However, at the end of the day, this will be a battle for both teams and we think the visiting Tigers will have just enough in them to edge out the Kowboys. JONES OVER OSCEOLA
