    • Thanks for the breakdowns XDC.  I attended the Carol City @ WBR.  There was plenty of talent on both teams.  WBR ran a limited offense since practically every Am Her Plantation’s coaching staff was in the stands watching.  I was surprised how few mistakes CC made with all those transfers. As a fan that likes to attend games your description of the in home viewing has me thinking about staying home.
    • Sorry to keep beating a dead horse but I need clarification regarding the placement of Atlantic (Port Orange). Do they belong to FHSAA or SSAA? With all the knowledge on this board, someone surely can answer this question. The FHSAA website says they are FHSAA Independent while all other websites show them as SSAA. An article was published in the Daytona New Journal a couple of months ago: Atlantic, Pine Ridge football to return to FHSAA as independents Portrait of Zach AllenZach Allen Daytona Beach News-Journal I need to know because last night, Atlantic beat SSAA Bishop Snyder 20-0. I need to know whether or not this game should be counted.  Thanks.
    • Week 0 Observations A few observations from my couch: The NFHS Network added Multiview functionality. You can now watch four live streams at the same time with a cold one on the couch. Pretty cool.  Is St. Thomas Aquinas that good, or is Cardinal Mooney that bad? NFHS listed the game, so I was waiting for the stream to load. It never did. Apparently, Cardinal Mooney streams their games on YouTube. By the time I got to it in the second quarter, it was already 36-0.  I have been watching Vero Beach pretty religiously for the past decade. They have, by far, the most skill I can remember. Woods and Melbourne looked especially electric at WR. Many people around PBC will tell you that Lockhart (their RB1) was better than Mallory (UM commit) last year at West Boca. They handled Newman with ease, and it should have been worse (Monds got a little greedy in the redzone and got picked throwing across his body). They can compete with anyone in the state.  Speaking of West Boca, I thought the two teams (WB & CC) were evenly matched, but neither was overly impressive. A slow, penalty-filled game. Maybe it was just me. Lennear was quiet much of the game but showed up when it counted.   Miami Palmetto was one of the most impressive teams I watched on Thursday or Friday. They absolutely destroyed a ten-win Archbishop McCarthy team who scheduled for the upcoming season like they have a “stick.” Palmetto is incredibly organized, and their transfer QB from Wisconsin (I think) is huge and surprisingly athletic. Their games against Columbus this year will be must-see.  Columbus might be home of the freakiest athlete in Florida, Sekou Toure, Mohamed Toure’s (UM LB) “little” brother. Look him up. Palm Beach Central’s OL is absolutely massive – has to be the biggest unit in the state. Their DL is not too far off – three good looking jokers. They will have some growing pains with their young QB (#1), but hot damn is he electric with the ball in his hands. Northwestern looked okay to me. QB gets the ball out quickly. Not sure he is a difference maker, though. They are definitely down from recent years. There is a YouTube steam of the game (not 4Quartersonline) that allows for an up-close and personal look into Miami Northwestern’s operation. Worth a look/listen.  Well, that’s all I’ve got. Until next time.
    • Looks like Venice is playing Rabun Gap GA as a replacement for Booker.    So it went from Booker automatically losing an OOS game to Venice probably winning one. Lol. That’s a good reversal of fortune
    • No.  Ate at Yoder’s Restaurant on Bahia Vista in Sarasota.  You might want to try it if you ever venture outside of Volusia County.  Unlike Red Robin, the restaurant is well maintained.
