Yeah, if you're in a in a program that has accountability and structure the season never really ends. January to August is when you win championships. I just hope the fans understand and respect that. The coaches should be paid accordingly for the time, effort and sacrifice they put in for the school and football program. Oh, and that 100 degree heat aint no joke for the players, trainers and coaches.

My son got his helmet yesterday. One week later the pads start popping. 3 weeks is the spring game. Then it’s summer workouts in 100 degree heat. There is no off-season!

Yeah most of the best players in the state going to the big 3 is a thing of the past. Maybe thats why the big 3 always being in the top 25 is also a thing of the past.

Understandable. I love the school choice idea. It will only help public schools. Once the privates take enough kids, the public schools could tighten ship and only keep the best teachers. It will be addition by subtraction

Of the 26, only 6 came from in-state schools. Not good. Tells me all the best players are leaving the state.

Who were elected in the draft. 257 picks would make it about 10 percent of the entire draft. I don’t count out of state IMG guys who spent a few months of their entire life at a world sports academy located in FL. 26 Floridians. Nice haul. Was hoping for 30, but it should be good enough for top 3 in the country

Might not be. Booker T. doesn't travel well and we don't know if Lakeland will bring people. Either way both are good matches

Broward has a lot of under utilized public school space right now, they are talking about actually closing some schools at various levels. I think the charters and private schools are taking many of the kids these days.

Ok updated. Surprising that more public schools haven’t opened with all the new people that come to FL. I read something that 1,000 per day moved here in 2023

Central (Milton) will field their first varsity team this year. They are assigned to Rural, Region 1.

KIPP is new and will be fielding a team for sure. Sarasota Christian and Old Plank are moving up from SSAA 8-Man to SSAA 11-Man Innovation in Orlando will be the newest public high school in the state. In 2026 Sounside in Gulf Breeze will open as the Soundside Hurricanes. First new school in Santa Rosa County in 25 years when Navarre opened in 2001.

Wow so BTW is traveling to both Vero and Lakeland this year that's nuts

Have to see how the transfer class comes together. Probably underdogs at Traz vs. the Rockets and favorites at home vs. BTW. Of course, both games could go either way.
