  1. Of course. You don't want to play teams that stack the deck with 50 D1 players. Can't fix public school issues without removing private schools. I would go 4 public classes and 2 private classes based on population. Then an open private school class with the powerhouses. Open bowl at end of playoffs to give the strongest schools the chance to compete for open bowl title.
  2. Never Say Never. All it takes is one well-written bill and the support of a few influential people. As long as the private schools were equitably treated, I see no reason why they could not be separated into their own classifications and remain in the FHSAA. The FHSAA could also sponsor open bowls at the end of the playoffs to allow private schools the chance to compete against the best public schools in a post Championship environment.
  3. Columbia, this debate has been raging since you were in about third grade on these boards. The problem has only gotten worse every year. Texas does not have a proliferation of large private school powers like Florida. If they did they'd be out of there in a hot second you can guarantee that in Texas.
  4. You are 100% correct about not being able to even have a starting point on fixing the public school districts, zoning rules, etc., and the playoffs without separating the private schools.
  5. Their bracket was much tougher than STAs, who benefits from a super weak district and cake walk region. Venice's region was twice as hard.
  6. Not a Wood fan. I'm a Plant alumn. I'm sorry your hurt that Armwood tore through that sorry region, as I said they would. But let it go. The 6A title has set up perfectly for them. They get Crestview at home and then either Naples or 5 loss Northwestern in the finals.
  7. But I agree on the BCP get together.
  8. No, it wasn't. Your trying to win. But you still don't want to set the other team up at the 50 if you miss 4th and 15.

  10. Recruiting. Need to be separated. Do you really think Ft. Lauderdale. Central Catholic(STA) has these kids just walking their hallways and they happen to be D1 ballplayers? Two NFL sized O lines and D lines and about 50 athletes walking around over 220? lol. 59 Kervens Dabresil DL, OL Sr. 6-5 340 79 Mike Malone OL Sr. 6-7 330 78 Nate Alperi OL Jr. 6-10 325 68 Matthew Taylor OL Jr. 6-3 310 77 Marlon Martinez OL Jr. 6-5 305 74 Marcus Dumervil OL, DL Jr. 6-6 300 72 Julian Hernandez G Sr. 6-4 300 76 Vincent Murphy OL Sr. 6-3 295 73 Antonio Serrano OL Sr. 6-2 290 90 Jamari Maybin DL Jr. 6-1 290 92 Bobby Washington jr DL Jr. 5-10 283 53 Derrick Gordon LB Jr. 6-1 280 75 Julian Armella OL Fr. 6-5 275 67 John "Jake" Pope OL Sr. 6-7 275 9 Braylen Ingraham DE Sr. 6-4 270 Adetola Daranijo DT So. 6-0 267 Lucas Londos G So. 6-3 260 56 Devon Betty OLB Jr. 6-2 260 95 Jayden Royal DT, DE Sr. 6-3 260 54 Tyrique Owens DE, DT So. 6-2 260 71 Kyle Gilliland OL Jr. 6-7 255 55 Nicholas Marino DT, LS Sr. 6-2 254 Allan Baugh DE So. 6-2 253 99 Tyreak Sapp DE So. 6-2 252 61 Frank Kostzer DT Sr. 5-11 250 50 Kevin Izquierdo DE, OLB Jr. 6-3 250 65 Kristoff Pollas G, DT Jr. 250 Lashawn Paulino 6-4 245 58 Riyad Wilmot DE Jr. 6-4 240 52 Devin Bejacmar DL Sr. 6-2 230
  11. People just shouldn't accept more of the same garbage.
  12. I'm sensing some sarcasm on the cm CCC prediction. CM is the favorite but CCC is pretty good this year and the game is at home for CCC. Go CCC!
  13. And Zipperer is freaking awesome. Use him MORE!
  14. They don't have a good passing game. Not saying they can't, just saying they don't. They'll need balance to win the next two.
  15. no guarantee there will even be an 8a. we need LESS classes.
  16. We won't know until they release the 2018 population report. We need broader classes so we can have the Panhandle have real districts and stop bitching. I'd also love to separate the private schools. That would make life much easier in terms of organizing an eauitable playoff system.
  17. The Seminoles are an extremely poorly coached Squad. They are disorganized garbage. Francois is well below average. He has a nice arm but makes dumb decisions. The play calling sucks. The defense shows up in spots. The offensive line is horrendous. They've squandered the talent of both cam Akers and jock Patrick. I don't know what else I can say about this team other than it's a complete shitshow. Who's to blame? 50% Jimbo Fisher and 50% Willie Taggart. He's had them all year and they've looked like crap. That is coaching. We know the players are talented.
  18. Excellent perusal of the FHSAA Championship records book. Good job. I enjoy reading your posts. Not trying to bust your balls.
  19. He did it simply to piss you off. As you have clearly demonstrated. Haha.
  20. Again. Never quit. If you practice quitting, then it has a negative affect on the program. Lakeland was the better team, clearly, but I think Weiner and gang were using this a lesson to the kids coming back that you have to fight to the very end of every game. Beat Edgewater! Beat Aquinas! Pulling for the Naughts.
  21. Plant will never quit in a game. A few bounces go your way and you can sneak back in. I've watched it with my own eyes on several occasions when it looked they were toast and they pull off an improbable comeback. You think STA or Venice is going to quit because there down 2 or 3 scores? Never. Castle recognizes this and that's why he kept his foot on the pedal. If you don't, you may end up losing.
  22. Bowman!!! He's like a Rainey out there. Congrats! Hope they give hated Aquinas a game. Pulling for the L!
  23. WAYY too much Bowman. Plant's D didn't come to play. Awful. Pulling for the L. Hope they can beat Aquinas!!
