  1. McArthur HC Pierre Senatus has been hired as the DL coach at Florida Memorial University (NAIA).

On a similar note, Benedick Hyppolite, formerly of Carol City, has accepted a GA position with the Canes. He spent this past season with FMU helping them get ready for its first slate of games in 2020.

Little old news but IMG's HC took the TE position at Indiana.

Right, it was a certificate from a six course, online sport management thing.

I got that part, but I was just highlighting that your post said there was (supposedly) an attempt at deceiving people by creating an illusion of sorts that he earned a degree when in fact there was no attempt at deception from what I could see.

The school director, who is the person who created and served as the director of the athletics program, does not appear to have a college degree and is currently an UNDERGRAD at the University of Tampa. There is an attempt made to portray him as having a degree from Columbia, but a little digging reveals that he merely holds a certificate from a six course, online-only "Sports Industry Essentials" program.

Just want to note that unless the website has been edited since this thread was created, it is pretty clear he did not receive a degree from Columbia.

Was just about to post about Molina, shame thought he was going  to continue to improve them.

From the way he spoke in his post on Twitter, it sounded that parents was at least partially the reason he decided to step down.

    Racoons aren't cool!

Trash Panda's may not be either but at least it's unique.

Say's the guy who graduated from a school with a really unique mascot!

    .

Their logo is literally a raccoon though ....

Do pandas even like trash? Are they saying pandas are a trash animal?

So many questions, so few answers

As an aspiring HC, I think that you need an administration that has your back and believes in your vision - especially if you're a first-time HC. I'd say a supportive community would be great but that will come with success on the field. Every coach is a competitor and wants to compete for/win championships but that's not why you take over a team. Gotta be in it to build better sons/young men and future employees, husbands/fathers. If you're in it for that reason and find an admin who supports you, you are doing something right.

    Agree with the quoted 100%.

To build on it based off the potential boxes to be ticked by OP:

    - Salary: well, in normal situations sure. But I don't think that is much of a consideration in FL (assuming the schools being considered are all FL schools).

    - The talent is sometimes dependent upon a coach. Are they using the talent right? Are they bringing the best out of players?

    - Alumni: again, can't necessarily focus on this too much when deciding which school to go to

  7. American posted on Twitter they will be announcing a hire on Thursday.

American Heritage Delray decided to move in a different direction from Keith Hindsley, who went 31-25 in five seasons. The school has promoted DC Brian Sheridan. Sheridan has coached NJ HSFB and collegiate ball. Locally, he spent time as DC at Chaminade Madonna and University School ahead of his AHD stint.

    Naples is also open.

  8. Would love to hear more about this Life Christian team.

Wins - Hun, Spalding, Unlisted Opponent

Losses - Lee County, Buford, DeMatha

Notable Upcoming Games - IMG (could be the IMG B team), Friendship Collegiate and St. Frances

The interesting thing is the losses are not bad for a team (practically) unheard of: by 27 to Lee, by 11 to Buford and by 36 to DeMatha.

I mean, ISB was losing Buford and DeMatha type games by 50-60 consistently.

  9. RE: UCF needing to schedule harder

It all falls on the UCF AD who is .... well, let's just say he's different than his peers.

UF made a very generous offer for a series, but UCF's AD declined because it was a 2-for-1 deal. (UCF's counter-proposals of a home-and-home or a home-home-neutral caused UF to essentially laugh at UCF for the proposal.)

UF turned around and made a 2-for-1 deal with USF, which caused UCF's AD to slam USF.
