Central had agreed to play East Ridge first. Signed the contract and all but tried to get out of it to play Flanagan. East Ridge wasn't having it. Poor scheduling management by Central. If you sign a contract. Honor it!Soo as i was reading thru soorts articles & etc i stumbled across that flanagan & mia central was suppose to open up against each other but the plan fell ??
Thats a waaaay better opener then east ridge.!! Against nationally ranked mia central...anyone know why it didnt happen?

To my knowledge they are the only one.Southridge has their own field. I think they're the only public school in miami to have their own field with lights.

I approve this message.What area are safe in America? Ain't know school safe... You can get touch at anytime or anywhere ðŸ˜... Plus I told you before NO DADE PUBLIC SCHOOLS HAS THEIR OWN FOOTBALL FIELD!!! Since your afraid of Miami, if Columbia makes it to state which I doubt it , you probably won't want to go cause the citrus bowl is dead smack in the hood 😉

Gotcha.It is what it is, when the visiting team has fears they are placed on the home because its close to the expressway. This is inside info.

When you've gone there so many times over the years, you become use to it. It's really not that bad from the inside looking out.Just don't make a wrong turn in that area at night and get lost. You could end up with problems. Not saying it's bad at Traz, but it gets crazy at times.
Not sure why Cocoa didn't do the return trip, It's not like Cocoa to slide out of a deal. Only thing I can assume is a scheduling problem happened. MC beat Cocoa by 20 that year but had to forfeit the game. We had Colerain in Ohio, Dallas Skyline in Texas and them MC at home, all in a row. It was a grueling schedule for 37 man roster. The MC game was a good game. MC's defense was lights out... no getting around that, they scored a FG in the 1st quarter, then run for 2 TD's in the second, Blanked in the 3rd and then another FG in the 4th. It was over though by the 3rd because Cocoa only move the ball past midfield maybe twice. Cocoa may have had less total yards in that game since as far back as I can remember. Still no excuse for not returning the game and playing MC at home and taking the medicine, good or bad.
When 2 good teams play at Traz, the place is packed. It used to be a little scary walking around in the parking lot, but there are a lot of po po there now.

In a twitter conversation with ER coach he stated he wants to have his team battle tested come playoff time.@MC Rockets Oh ok got you and do you know why East Ridge agreed to the game.

Because neither of those teams would even entertain the idea of playing Central.Let me clarify on what I've said. When I say every team needs a cupcake game on their schedule I was referring to the schools down here, instead of Central going up the road why not play someone down here. I know Miami and Southwest Miami are equivalent to East Ridge.

Playing SW and Miami High are the equivalent if not worse than playing East Ridge.I think because Central doesn't have a 10 game schedule is what's making the East Ridge game stand out. Honestly I think every team should have one cupcake game and in Central case why go up the road when you have plenty in Miami. Barbara Goleman, Hialeah Gardens, Westland Hialeah, Morning, Coral Park just naming a few. Here's my 10 game schedule for the Rockets.

Booker T. Washington
Norland district game

Carol City district game

In 2011 we traveled to Cocoa. That was suppose to be a home and home...didn't happen.And there is the chance they cancell the second year to avoid travel?

Even with a home and home we would have to travel first. When have you ever known any of those teams to travel down to the inner city without an inner city school going there first? By no means am I making this a race thing but I've been following this game and the ins and outs for a long time.What bout home and away series?

I wouldn't mind playing playing either of those teams. But they come with special stipulations. Those teams won't come down here. We would have to go to them.What about STA...MANATEE...TCA...IMG ACADEMY BRO ??

No need to go out of state every year. There are enough teams within the state.

For once I finally agree with you on something. This game had NO business being scheduled. Poor scheduling from the MC brain trust.I'm still dumbfounded on how this game was even put on the schedule. I don't care what nobody has to say coaches, fans, students nor alumni Central shouldn't be playing East Ridge. If Central wants to be looked at as a national power then the Rockets need to handle the scheduling a little better. From the end of August to the next year of August gives you a year of planning a schedule. I guess I don't know much about Central Rockets football, but from the outside looking in I was expecting more then what I'm getting and same goes for anybody else is.

Not to sound cocky, but I will be surprised if it isn't as well.East Ridge beat Osceola in a scrimmage this morning 28-7, I seen some of their kids on twitter earlier saying they're ready for anybody, let's see what happens in the opener, I will be surprised if it's not a running clock the entire 2nd half in favor of Central

East Ridge might score. But if they do they will be sorry they did. Lol!dope bro them boys getting ready...ayee that east ridge school heir playing ...are they even good enough to score a TD that game???

He will be the most experienced for sure. Now will that equate to the best...only time will tell. Central QB T. Morten is pretty damn good too. His downside is his height. Only about 5' 8" or 5' 9".
