We’re 3-1 vs Deerfield since 2010 p.s Deerfield isn’t a powerhouse they haven’t even won a state championship EVER oh yea  their big games they lose ..all three games they had this year vs great competition they lost ..and by the way we had DFB in our schedule this year but they backed out on the schedule last min for oak leaf.

Last year Dillard was in year two of a home & away contract with  Cardinal gibbons BTW & western Dillard beat western AT western last year the only team to do so besides Miramar. And we led gibbons 6 nothing with 30 seconds left in the 2nd Qt last year.

before last year we played ST THOMAS in the kick off classics EVERY year & have them some pretty good games to only reason why that matchup stopped is because STA never wanted to come to us they always wanted to host so our principle stopped it.

This year people had Miramar ranked higher then us mentioned how we hadn’t beat them since 06 picked them to beat us in the Pickems said that if we wanted respect we have to beat the avg to above Avg teams ...WE BEAT them. And if it wasn’t for that ineligible player fiasco Miramar would b 7-3 and In the playoffs right now with their only loses being to US,AHP & STA 2 of those schools people will deem has national powerhouses correct ??

carrying on ...people then said oh our SUPER DUPER test will fiNALLY come against MIAMI COLUMBUS the 8A state runner up from last year ...again “if Dillard wants to be recognized this is the game they HAVE TO WIN they have to show they can beat these Miami schools“ What did Dillard do ..THEY WON THE DARN GAME.

Columbus by the way is in the playoffs as a 2nd seed ..who are they loses to POWERHOUSES BTW..SOUTH DADE...U SCHOOL ... & again little ole can’t be tooken seriously Dillard.

What did Dillard do last week they went on their biggest most hated rivals home turf in front of 5000 plus people with the entire county watching and they PUT 60!! Points on a 7-2 team who had hung with one of the 7A faves in Atlantic on the road. Lol haha like come on bro!!

Bro! I get it and all I was trying to say is for Dillard to continue scheduling some the top teams in the area or even venture to some teams up north or out of state and win some games. That's how these pollsters recognize you. Maybe winning state this year will be the boost they were looking for. Who knows?

But yet you have teams with 2 to 3 loses & dare I say blow out loses and their in the top 100 nationally ??

Miami central who hasn’t won a title or been to the third round or beyond in 3 plus years and coming off a 7-3 year & a blow out lost in their last game is #1 in 6A & nationally ranked ..!?! Based off what ? Name ... history ??

ranked or not we’re just gonna keep doing what we do I just find it funny ..Naples is highly ranked based off what ? Possibility ? If u legit my compare Dillard vs Naples schedule it’s fairly diff if Not Dillard having the edge but yet tsk tsk Naples have been ranked light years ahead of Dillard all year. But aye keep sleeping analysts you gone wake up & Dillard gonna be in Daytona.

I will agree to a certain degree about MC. No they haven't won a title since 2015 and have exited the playoffs in the 3rd round or less. But has kept them "relevant" in the eyes of some these pollsters outside of name recognition is the fact they have a few big wins in the regular season to keep them on national "life support." 2017 the win at Bishop Gorman was huge. Yes, BG is on sort of a decline themselves, but that MC loss was the first home loss since BTW beat them in '13. Last year they had win against 3 top 25 teams, at Cardinal Gibbons, at  STA, and beat Carol City in the playoffs only to lose the next week to NW...SMH! Not to mention that 5 OT thriller loss at SJC. This year they have done NOTHING in my eyes to be considered a top team. Their biggest win is against BTW. Even if they win state, which I'm not confident they will, I feel they need to earn their way back in the national spotlight. Right know they are not a national team and 15-20 range in Florida at the moment. If I was the AD at Dillard, I would look into scheduling a few more local powers like Cardinal Gibbons, AHP, DB, NW, CC, BTW, STA, to build a resume and keep the excitement and go from there. But what do I know?

A few change ups over the weekend unfortunately for Miami central last week was their final game so it’s a 99.9% chance they will be the 4th seed going into the playoffs. if everything stay the way that it will be

    Barron Collier @ Naples

south fort Meyers @ ft Meyers

    Dunbar @ Dillard

    lely @ Miami central

not looking ahead but if all the expected seeds win the round 2 6A south region will look like this

    Miami central @ Naples

    Dillard @ Fort Meyers

    letsssss gooooooo PAWS UP!!!! #ThisisDillard!!

Yeah, I can't see MC moving up even if Dillard or Ft. Myers loses this weekend. They made their bed, now they have to lie in it.

That’s why every game is its own game ..any given night ..plus some matchups bring more out of players & teams.

a team like carol city & MNW will get more out of central simply because it’s personal those kids stay round each other grew up with each other played youth ball with each other.

but when they play a school from broward (a county they don’t respect or look at as a threat anyway) they don’t have that same “umph” they would have vs one of the teams above. Yea they still wanna win & etc but the overall atmosphere is different and the crowds won’t travel the same Miami central didn’t have a great showing fans wise at all at the Chaminade game. Probably had the same mindset most of the players had.

I agree with about 95% of this comment. But in regards to the showing, MC had a really good number of fans there. Chaminade's field doesn't hold many people and there's only one side where both fan bases have to split. There were a lot of fans standing on the outer portion of the field.

6A is wide open and weak.  Same can probably be said for 8A

6A has no clear favorite. MC is very beatable. Dillard could be a dark horse. Naples can make a nice run if they get home games. Palmetto and Lake Gibson, the verdict is still out on them. And it's a crapshoot for the top half of the draw.

Concerning Central, it's hard for me to bet against them or Northwestern come playoff time, regardless of what troubles they may be facing  Let's not forget Northwestern came into the 2018 playoffs 5-5.  And in 2017, the Bulls were upset by Norland at the end of the season.  In both cases, there were folks going off the deep end and claiming the Bulls were down.

I would not get too excited about this single loss to Chaminade.  CM has one of the best rb's in the state, and it sounds like the kid was on last night.   CM is no slouch, regardless of what happened at Vero Beach.

I hear what you're saying about not betting against MC. But the difference in this MC and teams of the past is, a lot of the motivators are gone. Coaches and players. Northwestern has Max Edwards and whatever he is selling those kids, they are buying into it. Roland Smith just doesn't have it. It's not solely about losing to Chaminade because they are good. MC just may be on the decline and if you paid close attention, you saw it at the end of last season.

Wow is it true that y’all OC quit this week ? If so that’s crazy fam. I still see you all being in the sheer of things just off pure talent plus your first two round matchups will be against opponents not even on the same stratosphere as a even avg team from south Florida.

Yes, the OC is gone. But in my opinion, he was a cancer to the team. Wanted to be the HC, OC, DC, STC, water boy, etc.

Well we are in week 6 of the 2019 season and even tho anything can happen its not to early to start the conversations of the predicted contenders/ dark horses of 6A.

    My list goes as followed.

    CONTENDERS:

    1. Miami central

    2. Columbia

    3. Palmetto

    4. Naples

I Mentioned these 4 as contenders because other then miami central the road to atleast get to round 3 should be fairly easy for the other 3 district winners. As for MC their resume speaks for its self they are the fave until beaten.

    DARK HORSES:

    1. escambia

    2. Lake Gibson

    3. Washington

    4. Charlotte

    5.ponte vedra

    6. Barron collier.

    7. Mainland

    8. Dillard - even tho my panthers are undefeated (6-0) and having been winning in lopsided fashion Dillard Has To Earn Their Respect plus factoring in the fact our schedule has not been no where near testing also adding the fact the reigon were in is not favorable my panthers will have to really bring it. While i believe our program has started turning the corner for the better We Still have some more work to do. We will see how the season unfolds letsssss gooooo panthers.

I've been keeping an eye on your Panthers and have been impressed with what I've seen thus far. I would put them ahead of some of the teams in the dark horse category. Maybe even the last spot for contenders. But we will see.

  9. One thing you have to keep in mind with Maxpreps, they use a computer rating, not ranking. So it's easy to throw some numbers in a CPU and let it do the work as opposed to actually evaluating teams with the "eye test." Now I know you can't see every team and that will make too much since to do so. I think Dillard is better than at 4-5 teams ranked ahead of them. And they play tougher opponents than most of those teams too. If they were in another region, I could see them making 3rd or 4th round easily.

Now as far as almost upsetting MC last year....not too sure about that one. Lol!

The game was closer than years past, the end result was a 15 point win.

I get the feeling that there is a lot of mutual respect between Northwestern and Central players and fans.

Yes there is. We hate each other(not really) but we respect each other. Many of us grew in the same neighborhoods, went to the same elementary and middle schools together, but ended up going to different high schools. With so many schools in close proximity to each other down it happens.
