Mainland immediately throws a pick on next possession. Holds them, they kick field goal. Final Miami Central 17-7. 2) 2013 at Traz Powell. I'll just say this. Mainland has 2 TD's nullified. Ref calls offensive and defensive pass interference on the receiver who caught the touchdown and the defender guarding him. On the other TD receiver ruled out of bounds in the end zone. Video says otherwise!! Final Miami Central 28-15. 3) 2014 at American Heritage- Plantation, Mainland fumbles on opening possession inside their own 10-yard line, AH-P scoops and scores. 6-0. Mainland QB injured, go to wildcat with RB the whole game. Final 6-0 All of the above winners won a state championship the year they played Mainland. Got that Oldschoollion ? The truth is a bitch...

Bellamy's father (coach) calls the shots for his son. Traveling mercenary head coach KP goes to Sebastian River hires daddy with son and another starting player going south with him. KP jumps again back to the panhandle (Tally) son comes back to the promise land (Mainland) and aggressively smacks guys around from a middle linebacker position. Wouldn't be surprised if daddy ends up with a coaching position at Deland....time will tell.

Both Williams and Bellamy would start on defense for any Florida high school team, Dade included....no hype, take that to the bank.

Also LB/RB Demarcus Bellamy (Mainland) has transferred back to hometown Deland ( 9th Mainland,10th Sebastian River, 11th Mainland, 12th Deland ). Veteran area head coach Steve Allen is shaking things up over there in Deland. If the power click will leave him alone and he can keep his city's athletes they will battle Orlando for 8A supremacy in Central Florida.

So how much credit goes to that old hard a$$ Tom Coughlin who now oversees football operations in Jax. ? He made the Jags a good team when they first entered the league many years ago. He also took the Giants to a couple SuperBowl Championships with the lesser of the two Manning brothers. I don't know, but I wouldn't underestimate his contributions in how the current team is now performing on the field. The guy knows football. He's not a players coach so his act can go south after a few years. Anybody got facts to shoot down an opinion ? Thanks in advance....

Truth be told Orlando area 8A teams are as good or better then Miami area 8A teams; but probably not as good as the top 6A/7A teams down there.

This is totally unofficial, but the seven sections that go from goal line to goal line appear pretty much the same size and shape. A count from the otherside (WEST) of the stadium gave us around 850-900 seats in each of those sections on the 1st level. Miami Northwestern, by far had the largest following that sat on that side (East) during the three days. Cocoa, Venice, and Dr. Philips sat on the westside. It's hard to tell when you're in the middle of them.
